• Satellite Z830 - screen cracked after 4 months

  I bought my Z830 in July 2012.
  While I liked using the computer, the screen cracked after 4 months of normal use.

  I had to deal with the computer slowly and have always used a bag of ice and computer when they travel with him. The crack occurred while the computer had been sitting on a desk for about 2 months.

  I had 3 different notebooks in the past and never had this problem and from my point of view this question cannot goes without any pressure from the outside

  I have not had a problem with my Pixi... got in December for Christmas... LOVE... but now the screen cracked Tuesday, received my insurance replacement today. BUT... the touch screen is COMPLETELY insensitive.  Waiting for my replacement, I received phone calls, e-mails and msgs txt that I couldn't answer at all because the touch screen was out of use...

  I read several threads on the peoples being cracked screens, but I have not read of those who could not use their palm at ALL...

  Batt, on Pixi, plugged the USB cord... once came to the home screen I pressed the symbol Option (white note) + U key

  Hello, I know that you would have to go to Apple to get an estimat but does anyone know how much it cost to repair a small crack on a 5 k iMac screen as I just hit him a picture about it too there Apple care that make a difference in the cost? If anyone knows please let me know thank you.

  On 29 may, I sent my iMac for repair at Eaton, here in Toronto (covered under warranty). I got with my screen was fading. They got it all fixed and I came and picked up today. BUT... I don't check the display of a crack, either. Everything happened very fast because I trusted their expertise and did not bother to check the screen carefully. Once I got home, I immediately noticed a small circular crack on the black area of the screen, lost a little piece of glass of the screen. I did not bang the iMac against anything like that. People are very careful with their stuff when something that is expensive. I don't want to blame one who has mounted the display or one of carry out of the storage room, anyway I don't know how this crack got there. In a way, it's really my fault for not having a look attentive all in store. Personally, I don't mind using this crack, but it's embarrassing because there is a little thought. Any suggestion on what I can do?

  I live in amman-Jordan, I bought a laptop Satellite A200-1Z3, and the third day I found the cracked screen, I went to the store of toshiba in amman and asked me for a new, but have said it will follow the coast me $ 563,3 so I went home and searched the internet ((ebay)) I found a lot of screens and all around $ 140 , but the problem is I can't tell which model I need... and where I can find a good price in the USA... Please help me.

  As I'm not living in the United States I can't tell where you could get a good price on a new laptop screen. Think you could google stores a bit to find space.
  To know what screen you have, you may ask ASP or Toshiba store where you were already.

  But, if you could manage get a new screen for your computer, you will need to replace it with the damaged and I'm sure that's not as easy as the upgrade of RAM or HARD drive. Don't know how experienced you are in these things, but I'm not on my own, unless guarantee is lost if you do it yourself.

  It's expensive, but better that way then lose warranty or destroy something.

  What did you do that your screen has cracked anyway?

  It has a cracked screen and lost its ability to "touch", but all other functions are intact.

  I rarely used the "tactile" function, but the crack is an embarrassment and a distraction and if I could fix the crack at a reasonable cost, so I would.

  I have been looking for replacement of the LED screen and appears in the best of my ability.

  My problem: without disassembling the laptop how can I know what screen to buy?

  I bought the Satellite A200-1YO 15.4 "laptop around a month ago.
  Today, I think the screen is cracked. I have not had an additional guarantee, but I still have the original invoice.

  What is my best course of action? My screen is covered by the warranty, although it is accidental damage? Or I have to buy a new monitor?
  I've seen this exact monitor on eBay for £127.00.

  My HP Envy, I base a year warranty on, has been involved in a recent car accident in which I was ran off the road by another car. The accident, I did not fault in, or the rescue team throw the computer from my back seat have deciphered to the screen. The computer still works but the screen is cracked and the touch isn't so more sensitive. Is this covered by warranty comes in replacement of the screen, or do I need to buy parts on my own?   I would check the insurance first. Otherwise, you will pay for a replacement, except IF you have purchased a plan of warranty or plan or calendar which is to accidental damage included.

  A slight crack appeared on the touch screen of our Photosmart 7510. It does not seem to influence what that except the copy, but we use it a lot so it is important. Does anyone have experience with this? We better try to get it fixed (I did not to HP again because we are not under warranty) or it would make as much sense to just buy a new.

  I do not think that the screen is cracked but the cover plastic. It's just a hairline from the lower right corner thanks to the black buttons and color on the copy parameter.
