  How long have you been experiencing this problem?
  You recently installed or uninstalled any software?
  You encounter this with all the screensavers in the list?
   
  I would suggset update you display drivers later and check if the problem persists.
   
  I recommend you to update the graphics drivers and see if it makes a difference. You must be logged on as administrator to perform these steps.
   
  1. open Device Manager by clicking the Start button, click on the Control Panel, clicking system and
  Maintenance and then click Device Manager. If you are prompted for an administrator
  password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
  2. in Device Manager, locate the device, and then double-click the device name.
  3. click Driver tab, then click on set to update driver and follow the instructions.

• Theme turns black and white

  I had this custom theme that I wanted to apply. When I applied it, the borders were black and white. The start menu and toolbar of office were very good, just the theme of Windows Explorer. How can I solve this problem.

  According to the information provided by you, the video card is not compatible with Windows Aero, then I would say you to upgrade the video card that is compatible with Windows Aero, which should fix the problem.

• Screen saver shows photos in black and white

  I have my screensaver set to display the photos in Windows Live Photo Gallery.   It will work just great... then all of a sudden the images change color in black and white.  Can't understand why.  Any help will be appreciated.

  I simply select photo gallery of my screensaver and it runs through images in this gallery... I select those specific.
  I haven't seen any link with the file extensions and don't really know when it changes color in black and white.  I have my leave of the House, back & screen saver is now black and white photos... the color is no longer.  The next time he lights up, it lights up in color.
  I have not run that a photo slideshow so can't answer that.
  I use a desktop PC - HP Pavilion PC p6110f
  I have a HP2009m monitor.
  That's happened since I installed Windows 7... not before.

  Open Customize / screen saver.

  Select the screen saver Windows Live Photo Gallery .

  Click on the settings button.

  In the drop-down menu use this theme , one of the options is black and white.

  If the random option is there, it will automatically to different themes, and sometimes switch to the black and white theme.

• Vista for admin is displayed in black and white, safe mode he color__How can I solve this?

  It's for my computer vista laptop professional 32-bit, I run, I have a NVIDIA Geforce 9600 M GT video card, which displays its colors very well in safe mode which I am right now.

  I tried to update the driver, and it shows that I have the latest updated driver for my card, which I doubt has problems because safe mode clearly shows the colors. I tried in the admin change all aspects of the display to check if, somehow, it shows color without result.

  I have not change anything until the problem happens, the last action I did before putting it in black and white, was admin log, and put the computer in mode "Eve". I tried to access low and high graphic games after the problem, and the low graphic games can be played in black and white, while the high graphic games are not. They display an error on x-ray engine which I assume is due to the lack of color on the screen.

  I also tried a system restore, but it failed because all the 3 times, he showed that nothing has changed for the restoration of the system has failed.

  I hope this is enough information to troubleshoot. (I restarted and tried to update and even downloaded program Mr. Fix It Microsoft and unsuccessfully yet.)

  The webcam shows usually more colors like black and white only.

  I noticed your post on the scans of your Photosmart 6510, scan to your system from Vista in black and white. I want to offer my suggestions to you to see if they can help you with this.

  First of all, try to launch the HP print and Scan Doctor who is used to fix the printing and scanning problems. You choose the option "Scanning" when the tool is run. It will inform you if the software is completely installed, or if there is a problem, it can not correct. If it detects an error and shows you a red 'X', I suggest then uninstall and reinstall.

  I worked on a file in photoshop, open the same file in illustrator without linking it and added some text. I returned to photoshop, re-open the case as an AI. doc in ps.

• Color display you want to only print in black and white?

  I have been responsible for creating a PDF file that displays in color on the screen but will print in black and white. It doesn't matter who chooses to print from any computer.

  Any ideas if this is even possible? If so, how?

• Screen is colored for about 3-4 seconds when I run vista and then past black and white after UPDATE 2/10

  I had automatic updates and at 03:00 it will download new updates whenever they come. I guess that 2/10 have been installed the updates that came out and when it automatically restarted my computer, everything was normal on the login screen, but once Windows started, 3-4 seconds and it went black and white. It is not my monitor or my video card, I tried 3 OTHER monitors on this and I own two myself. I need to restore both before the update was installed for my screen to return to the color... Anyone else having the same problem or knows what is happening or how to fix? Would appreciate the help. Thank you!

  There are a few things to try, that might turn back to normal settings.

  In display settings, try to change the option of colors up to medium (16 bit) and see if that makes a difference. Change to when. You can also change the resolution settngs. Sometimes just by changing the settings can fix the little quirks.

  Have you tried to update video card driver? If this isn't the case, that give a try. You can use the automatic update via the Device Manager, or just go on display card manufacturer's website and download the latest version of the driver.

  Five of the eight games on my machine here confined to the left 2/3 of the screen and play only in black and white. It's Chess Titan,

  Free Cell, hearts and Spider Solitaire, solitaire. Ink ball, Mahjong-Titals and Minesweeper work very well. I had the same problem with Netflix, but

  acting on the advice of the Csr Support, I have ununstalled and re-installed Silverlight (and had to use the Fix It program to do it). That solved the problem of Netflix

  but not the problem of games. YouTube has never been touched by this issue)

  Note: these problems two weeks ago.

  Microsoft says my video driver customer service must be updated and that I had to go so the manufacturer (Dell). I can't

  implement this driver in programs and features at all.  I don't know what made everything a video driver. It only concerns the functioning of

  (some) games?

  Thanks for your reply. I tried to uninstall the games, but the Turn Off function did not cooperate.

  I had the problem, however. An outfit with whom I unfortunately chose to do it remotely

  maintenance, but who are if anything more incompetent than the people of Dell installed on my machine one

  program called "Assistant pilot."  Now, it turns out I had two issues which has the same effect on Netflix and 5 of 8 games, i.e. the image limited to 2/3 of the screen and exploitation of black and white only. The Netflix problem solved when Microsoft Csr Serv me sent suggestions on what to do, which was to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Silverlight and use the Fix It program if there were problems. Now the outfit I mentioned tried time and time again to uninstall Silverlight without success. It appears that they knew no more difficulty I did. Silverlight was the problem here, because they felt properly.

  The problem of games persisted. Microsoft Csr Serv now told me she looked like my update video driver required and suggested I have call the manufacturer, Dell. God forbid!    I know little about computers. they know less. Then I shortened myself of this pilot, a wizard who bethought

  appears on my menu. I ran the program and it came with 20 + drivers requiring an update. One was a NVIDIA driver and I was vaguely aware that they probably had something to do with it.

  Update Ran, problem solved! Note that people who have installed this program to me do not have

  Consider using it to try to solve what was obviously a video problem! Yikes!

  Microsoft stands out as the good guys here. I had spent hours on the phone with Netflix (very useful, but it wasn't their problem) and this other suit. Microsoft pointed me in the right direction without fees.

  I wonder if anyone can help. have never used a forum before bare with me if I don't give all the details, but the basics are as follows:
  Windows update two days ago and since then freecell, solitary and lonely spider are black and white.  Mahjong, purble place etc. are fine colors and graphics are ok.
  put online to update the graphics drivers and computer says that all drivers are up-to-date.  also turned windows has on and outside and checked freecell etc. on games and uninstalled and reinstalled. no luck. "computer is a dell desktop computer and is about six years old, but I regularly updated and try to"keep a tidy ship.

  or if I've lost games can I download a version of freecell, who has an option to restart game

  The system restore solved my problem and after that I had to do it AGAIN today, I went to Windows Update and changed the settings so that the updates would not automatically download and install on my computer.  It is certainly a problem with one of the Microsoft updates.  I just hope that they recognize that one and let us know as soon as POSSIBLE!  I'll be very selective on what updates, I am hosting in the future!

• Help: VISTA is only in BLACK and WHITE for the admin user

  I went to another user in a game that worked well, but when I logged in this user and back in my usual admin user account, every day the screen is black and white while charging. Everything still functions very well except there is no color - all settings in the control panel and NVIDIA Control Panel suggests that it is the color display. If I connect to another account the color returns. Unfortunately system restore has been disabled for some reason any so that I can't restore to an earlier time. I downloaded and re-installed the latest driver for my graphics (NVIDIA 260 M GTX), but this does not solve the problem.

  Google search suggests some people have had this same problem, but still there are no solutions. Any help much appreciated.

  1. Open theme settings by clicking the Start button, clicking on Control Panel, appearance and personalization, customization, and then click theme.
