  This happens usually when the battery is too hot. If the battery is not hot then you may have a problem with the charger. Try another charger, if possible. If this is not the charger, then it is possible there is a hardware problem with the device and I'd recommend getting a warranty Exchange.

  N keep press the BB button pressed for 2 seconds, this will show the apps running in the background... r normally apps like home, identified calls, browser, BBM n Messages should be there, not to mention that these if there are all the other apps, close them... Applications running in the background consume battery...

  I think you can try two things: the soft reboot, and if it does not, the hard reboot. Don't worry, you can not lose data with these two reboots.

  Soft reboot:
  1) struck the following three keys at the same time:
  -Alt
  -Right shift
  -Remove
  (2) wait 2 minutes for the Blackberry to wake up.

  Hard reboot:
  (1) your BlackBerry smart phone is on
  (2) remove the battery and wait a minute
  (3) replace the battery
  (4) wait 5 minutes for the device to wake up.

  You could, but I'm sure that there are internal circuits to overload prevention, indication of charge level etc. I don't think that there are simple cells.

  The question remains, and probably will never with the 9900 being the thinnest BlackBerry ever, which requires a very thin battery.

  If you don't mind reload your phone every day, you'll be fine with the 9900.
