screen is blank after windows starts.

I just updated my graphics driver with HP SUPPORT ASSISTANT when suddenly my laptop wiped and restarted on its own and after the windows logo, I got a white screen, but the process is running in the background, just the screen is gone.i rebooted in safe mode and disabled my graphics driver Radeon HD 6490 M and it started normally but with a lower resolution.i do not know what the problem is.

my laptop model is HP PAVILION dv6-6119tx

Yes the question is solved.just to start in safe mode and disable graphics driver.then ATI starting the in Windows.le normal, screen resolution will be low and now UNINSTALL INTEL graphics driver.then restart your system.now when you start in WINDOWS, the INTEL driver will get installed automatically.if, you're connected to the internet, the driver will be downloaded from WINDOWS UPDATE.so you should ignore this step.and get install the driver of folders.after existing it gets installed restart your have it should work fine

  • The purpose of doing a virus scan after Windows starts in safe mode?

I've heard some suggestions that, in certain circumstances, it is best to do a virus scan after Windows starts in safe mode. So I have two questions:

    (1) would what type of circumstances you perform a scan antivirus in safe mode?

    (2) what are the advantages or disadvantages?

I have found no reliable info that answers to these questions and would be grateful for any info, or even just a point in the right direction.

    Thank you!

    Hello

The advantage is that some process and services are not loaded in Mode without failure there is less chance
This malware can load and interfere with the process. The downside is the same if its best
to run the malware checks mode safe and then in Windows. Or run in Windows and as appropriate
difficult to remove malware is detected then run in Mode safe, then in Windows.

If you need search malware here's my recommendations - they will allow you to
scrutiny and the withdrawal without ending up with a load of spyware programs running
resident who can cause as many questions as the malware and may be more difficult to detect as the
    cause.

No one program cannot be used to detect and remove any malware. Added that often easy
to detect malicious software often comes with a much harder to detect and remove the payload. Then
its best to be thorough than paying the high price later now too. Check with them to one
extreme overkill point and then run the cleaning only when you are sure that the system is clean.

It can be made repeatedly in Mode safe - F8 tap that you start, however, you must also run
the regular windows when you can.

  • Computer is humming, fan turns on and the screen is blank when I start computer

This problem happens every 90 days. When I took the computer to the repair shop, he had no problem with him right there.  If the computer remains stationary, the problem persists, but once it is moved in a certain way, it will start normally. Specifically, I spilled on the computer and the problem stopped.  I have a hard time to explain a problem to the repair shop when it no longer exists at the time wherever I have it get there. Is there a more permanent solution that mess up the computer?

When I tried to turn on my computer, I get a buzzing sound, then the fan came and the screen remained blank.  I tried to restart after an hour, but it's the same, what's the problem? >

    Hello DempseyBullock,

Sorry, you experience this problem.  The first thing I would say is contact the manufacturer of your computer.  Also, I suggest to go to the manufacturer's Web site to confirm that there is no news updates for the drivers, firmware, or BIOS updates.

If you are unable to start your Windows XP-based computer, try the steps in the below links:

  • Satellite P500 - screen remains blank after updating BIOS 2.90

I installed the new WOOD update through the station of service and after restart, the screen remains blank (out of service)?

    Any suggestions?

    Hello

And on the external monitor you see a photo or not?

In my opinion, something goes wrong during the update of the BIOS, and so the entire computer doesn t start anymore. All updates are pre-tested by Toshiba, so I doubt that only the screen isn't working anymore.

You should try to remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter for an hour. Then install the battery and plug in the AC adapter. Make sure the battery is fully charged and then try to start your laptop.

    It's working now?

  • Black screen on startup after windows update 7 crashed

    Hello

    Hope you can help.

I have windows 7 64 bit installed and everything was fine until last night.

It seems a windows update has been downloaded and when I turned my PC it was installing the update - the projection of the usual blue installation screen updates etc.

It took a long time and it seems to me he had crashed, has frozen I couldn't move the mouse.

Yes I know it says that you should not turn the PC while the update was the installation, but for me, it seemed like it had crashed and frozen upward.

So I decided turn off the pc and he left the next day to check the pc.

I turn on the pc and select windows 7 in my list - I have Setup dual boot

I get the message that windows did not start properly, so I select boot normally - I get the swirly logo appear and then just a black screen with the cursor that responds to moving the mouse.

There's just the black screen with the cursor and pass to the next step of the login screen.

I think because of the windows don't update not install correctly and turning the pc off this contributed to hang on the black screen.

I tried to start in safe mode to see if the same problem which he passes, I can connect via the SafeMode very well and have the available login screen and entered fine windows via safe mode.

I get ideas as to what I can do to solve this black screen?

To confirm once again, this has happened after a windows update tries to install, but as I felt it had crashed I turned off the pc - no drivers graphics etc. have been installed for a long time - only this update of windows

I hope you can help, thank you very much

EDIT: Just to add that I tried to do a restore point, but as I turned it off I don't have the option to do so.

    Hi Martin,

    Thanks for the reply.

I tried something last night after going through loads of forums.

I tried F8 for advanced startup options, and I'll give you good last thinking setting up a go, known guess what, it worked!

I was able to return in Office windows as usual, I even installed the update that it crashed on the last time, well, I think that he reinstalled the last update, it crashed on... anyway, I think I'm back to normal, but will check it out tonight but if you are still having problem try what I did It can work for you.

  • Satellite P30-110: the screen is blank, after working for a few minutes

    Hello.

Can anyone adivse if they have encountered this problem before. After you start the system and worked on the laptop for a few minutes, the screen turns white as if the system is in standby mode. The only way to put it back on is by pressing the power button and everything continues normally until the problem reoccur.

I have been informed that there may be a button faulty hibernation cela but surely you would say on the screen if the machine was going into hibernation with the usual calendar bar? And the fact that the screen turns back on as soon as you press the button shows his vigil no hibernation.

Any adviser who can offer are welcome. If you need more information about the problem please let me know.

    Thank you very much

    Hi Paul,.

If it is just the screen becomes black, but everything else seems to work fine, so I think that your FL inverter may be defective. This is the device that provides the lighting of the screen.

I suggest that you only contact your nearest ASP for further diagnosis.

  • I get an error after Windows starts

On 18 April, I got this error message after starting my computer (Windows 7):

"A problem came this parts disabled Assistant to logon to the Microsoft account. You will probably be able to connect to Windows Live in some programs. The problem may be caused by a recently installed program. More information on: http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=144689. »

The error message was in Danish, but I translated the message - with some freedom - in English.

The mentioned link led me to the opening of session of Outlook.com page. It gave no other information on the error, but explains why I ask the question in this forum. I use Windows Live facilities very rarely and not for a long time before the error message.

Programs installed before the incident were:

    Java version 7_55 April 16.

Adobe Flash Player update 13.0.0.182. on 15 April. On April 29 I disabled the Flash Player because of the comments of newspaper on a security problem.

McAfee Security Scan on 12 April (a free program that is complementary to my Antivirus Program Avira) gave me a message that toolbarservices.com can be harmful.

The error came every day after the start.

Any ideas on the reasons of this problem?

    Hello

I put t think that your display is faulty.
What happens if you access the BIOS at the beginning?
To access the BIOS F2 press and turn the device on/off.

Access the BIOS and let it run for a few minutes and check if the display starts at White.

In addition its recommended to connect an external monitor and generate the display 2. If the 2nd screen is not OK, then the graphics chip could be the troublemaker.

  • Monitor goes blank after windows XP starts.

After my computer Windows XP starts, the screen turns white.  I can see typical splash screens and the windows icon, that my home screen.  But shortly after so that files are always load, the monitor is going gray.  It is still 'active' designated by the green light, but after a few minutes Hibernate mode.

I use a laptop docking station Targus USB Video to allow us to pass the mouse and keyboard between our PC and laptop.  In fact, we use 2-monitor cables with this, one where the monitor is wired directly on the PC and the other of the docking station to monitor.  According to the computer on which is being used, connect the right on the screen cable.  The monitor works fine with the phone.  I wouldn't believe the origin our problem since this only started happening in the last few days.

I also changed the cable to the PC monitor without change.

The PC had a virus or some type of software problem?

    Can anyone help?

You have posted to a group of win7?

Connect the monitor directly to the PC to test (without docking station or any what vid/switches) & maybe update the graphics drivers on the website of the manufacturer NOT winupdate

It was happening on my W700 with Win7 x 64 too. What's worse, the RPF has worked after the first reboot after installation, but failed to work after an additional reboot: it would be then "please wait" cling and increase the time of logon password. I uninstalled the RPF software and do not use it...

The problem has been resolved by installing the latest version of the software of fingerprint: http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site.wss/document.do?sitestyle=lenovo&lndocid=WIN7-BETA#autc (7wf459ww.zip).

  • Trolling, laptop screen drivers acting weird, Windows start very slowly

The screen of my laptop had finally died recently, so I took it into the store of the computer down hence my apartment is. Real easy, just put in a new screen. Any time I did scroll upwards or downwards, or move a window, that it is delayed and there is this weird wave effect. I tried to install a video driver via Steam for the GeForce Go 7400, and now it takes about 10 minutes for my computer starts after scoring in windows. I'm not really sure to know how to find the specs and everything, but if someone could help me I would be very happy.

    Hello.

Check the site of laptop manufacturers with regard to the specifications of the machine you.  Look at what graphic chipset provider is. He must check if it is nvidia.  Go to their site and download the latest drivers.  They have a program online to find the best driver for your system.  Download it, and if all goes well, this should you solve graphical errors and restore your HDMI.  NVidia will direct you ensures the latest driver package and complete for your machine.

How I would enter as an administrator in Mode safe? I would like to explore this option.

It seems that you skipped a lot of security options that Microsoft has integrated into Windows 7 in order to protect you from the forgotten passwords.

If you have already enabled the administrator account, then it becomes automatically visible on the login screen during the boot without failure. You can see in Mode safe?

If you can't, then it is a complex process that allows you to reset a password. She relies on you start the machine in Repair Mode, using your CD to repair Windows. You burn such a CD? If you do not, you can burn it on another computer? Please report here to get further instructions after that you are able to start your machine in a Mode of repair with this CD.
