It works fine, after I turn sleep or hibernation several times, and after a reboot, it bothers me. I've updated his BIOS for the lates on this site, which would not help. I guess it's a hardware problem, because it's the same problem under Linux, and I tried to install different versions of drivers and windows (not only the one of the recovery CD). Anyone have the same problem before. Any help will be appreciated.

  I have a satellite A45-S250. I had no previous problem with this machine. However, when the computer is running too long, or it is moved in the slightest way the screen turns off. I don't even have to type very slowly - or I lose the screen.

  From your description, I assume FL converter is defective and must be replaced. FL inverter is responsible for the background light and the typical symptom for faulty FL inverter is dimming or blinking display.

• Bluetooth freezes when the screen turns off

  Having a problem with the Bluetooth on my pre. I coupled it with a Plantronics Voyager 855. Initial pairing works very well, but after the screen on the pre turns off, the connection goes bad. When I turn the screen back on, the Bluetooth application on the phone always displays the connected headset, but it is not. If I try to play music, there is no sound, and if a call comes in, I can hear the person on the phone, and not on the helmet.

  About 30-45 seconds after the screen turns off, I hear the high tone of the headset which means that it has lost connection. I don't think that the headset is bad. It worked very well with my previous phone.

  If I remove helmet > disable bluetooth phone > turn on bluetooth on the phone > put the headset in pairing mode, it pairs fine.

  If I remove helmet > disable bluetooth phone > turn on bluetooth on the phone > turn off the screen > wait 45 sec > turn on the screen > put the headset in pairing mode, then it does not.

  Again, it is like turning off the screen causes the bluetooth of the phone hang. Given that the screen turns off fairly quickly, I basically disable bluetooth phone and back on every time I want to use it.

  Any thoughts?

  My problem is solved.  Turns out that I had a defective unit.  He traded last night, and it works fine now.  Got the yellow box this time.  First of all, we had the black cover.

  Hi all, I read the other thread on this subject on the website, but as usual the problem I have is simply a little more boring, I would like to re-Morphix vista compeltely but in order to do so I obviously need to go through this process.   If you are unable to boot to the desktop, then unplug all external devices and try to install windows again.

  It sounds as if something is harming your graphics driver causing the display to turn off. If the problem occurs only when you use certain applications or only started after installing a new application you may need to restore your system to a restore point before new applications have been installed. As a test, you can try to start your system in safe mode and see if the problem persists.

  I also recommend that you re-install your graphics drivers to see if it improves the problem.

  Other possibilities are that your graphics chip is a failure or overheating causing this problem in which case you have to return your laptop to a Service approved for the additional diagnostic agent.

  My last thought is that you may have a problem with the inverter FL (the component that provides the lighting of your LCD screen). Check, when the screen turns off, if you can still see a residual image on the screen. If yes then the FL inverter is definitely at fault.
