  My touchpad Synaptics used two finger scroll or zoom in and out using the multitouch feature in firefox. I updated the drivers and reinstalled friefox. multitouch works in other programs and on the main desktop of windows 7 to control the size of items. the cursor responds to the action showing that it runs the command to scroll or zoom, but firefox does not meet the order. When I scroll with an external mouse and my touchpad at the same time and I stop with the mouse, the touch pad will continue to work until I have stop moving for even the smallest fraction of time

• Synaptic pointer is no longer scrolls or zooms, moves the cursor. My HPSimple Pass does not work either.

• Two fingers to scroll and Pinch to Zoom do not work

  Hello. I bought a brand new HP 4-1115dx this morning, and the two fingers to scroll/sleeve to zoom stopped working completely after 15 minutes of use.

  I have twice now uninstalled the driver and re installed from site Web from HP, currently using v16.2.17.0 latest (available for my device).  I went into the settings of the Clickpad, provided two fingers to scroll and pinch to zoom are both checked and entered in the settings/transmission for each of these items and provided all the appropriate scroll options would be checked.  I also watched the synaptics on the toolbar icon, and 'disable gestures' is NOT checked.

  When I turned on the computer for the first time, twofinger scroll and pinch to zoom in when selected by default and "scrolling" (which is a right mouse pad finger scrolling was NOT selected by default.  15 minutes after turning on the new device, I ticked 'scrolling' to see if I liked the right side of the touchpad scrolling better.  I have since failed to get the two fingers to scroll / pinch to zoom out (I've several times switched on / two fingers to scroll and the a finger right side touchpad "scroll".)

  Help, please!  This isn't the end of the world for me, but a feature that does not work after 15 of owning a product makes me nervous for other features do not down the road!

  It could be a problem with the synaptic software.

  Go to control panel and uninstall the synaptic program.

  Start-> Control Panel Type-> uninstaller-> right click and uninstall synaptic.

  If you restart, go ahead.

  Now lift the Recovery Manager

  Go to start-> type of recovery

  You should see the Recovery Manager in the list

  Open the Recovery Manager, and then click on software and driver re install

  Go through the list and find synaptic and reinstall.

  It is said synaptic driver, but the program is with the driver.

• Scrolling, pinch and zoom does not work in touchpad DM4-2015dx

  I did a clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit edition on my new laptop HP Pavilion DM4-2015dx from Best Buy. I was able to find the drivers for all devices except the touchpad. Currently, the touchpad functionality is limited to basic operations. I can't scroll, pinch zoom, etc. I tried the latest drivers of Synaptics Touchpad HP and Synaptics site without a bit of luck. The touchpad is simply recognized as generic "Standard Pointing Device."

  When I go into deivce prperties for the touchpad I see only the options for assignment of the buttons. There is no option to activate the rollers vertical or horizontal, pinch zoom, etc. Help, please!

  OK, so I found what the problem was. Initially, I assumed that the touchpad is a Synaptics touchpad. It is NOT the case. The touchpad is "Alps pointing device". The drivers installed with HP Pavilion DM4-2015dx out of the box are dated 18/02/2011 version 7.206.1717.117 as Alps pointing device. These particular drivers were not found on the HP website. However, there are similar drivers of 2010 that work very well. Here is a link:

  Without the right drivers you will also find expreince the cursor jump effect where the cursor will jump at random on the screen locations as you type. It has nothing to do with the user touching the touchpad. It's just that the generic touchpad Windows drivers are NOT compatible with the Alps touchpad.

  A final word for HP. PLEASE post all drivers for HP Pavilion DM4-2015dx on your Internet site, as well as ALL the HP utility.

  Are patches of red and blue color?

  If so, you probably have warnings of cutting of light/shadow enabled. Press J to hide them.

  You can also activate their power by clicking on the arrows up left and right of the histogram.

  Salient facts cut medium red, medium blue clipped shadows.

  It's on the roadmap, but is not a priority. To my knowledge, pinch and zoom on the smooth scrolling items will not be part of the v27, v28.

  Right-click over the synaptic icon in the system tray... It will give under option, uncheck the "Disable the gesture" and check...

• Pinch and Zoom does not not Android V26

  I am currently a folio of construction and hoping to take advantage of the new support of pdf to V26 (for Android tablets). I updated the tools, folio Builder and content viewer Adobe to V26. I downloaded successfully three articles with pdf format selected. The first article works fine (I can pinch and zoom in). The second and third items however do not pinch and zoom. I double checked my settings and even reloaded these two articles, and they do not always work. I'm doing something wrong?

  Unfortunately, pinch zoom on Android & PDF does not work at the moment, when the article is set to Swipe Horizontal only. In addition, pinch zoom & PDF does not work for items in scroll smoothly on Android or iOS.
