SCSI/RAID Host Controller, reports "tv_ConfigMgrErr39".

I ran the reliability and performance monitor on my laptop and the SCSI/RAID Host Controller has been highlighted that does not properly.

The information contained in the diagnostic reliability monitor results and performance are:

* Symptom: * _Device drivers marked as corrupt. _
* Cause: * a device has a configuration issue preventing it from working correctly.
* Details: * the device, the SCSI/RAID host controller, reports

When I check the SCIS/RAID Host Controller Properties, it says under device status:
"Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

For more than a year) and has not been advised of any errors. I posted this information in the Microsoft forum and was advised that submit a post here can find me an answer and also to check the appropriate driver downloads. My computer is telling me to contact the manufacturer of your device to download the software, but in its properties, there is no listed manufacturer. I can't get the Toshiba site for a download of driver that I have no idea what this component is and have no idea where to start!

I would be grateful for any advice (relatively uncomplicated!) and a gentle nudge in the right direction of a appropriate driver.

Thank you very much
Sarah

Hello

To be honest I don t know what you re talking. It would help if you could post some information like your laptop model.

39 error code usually means that there is a driver problem so I updated the driver. You can find the latest version on the Toshiba site.

Sorry mate, but that s all I can say at the moment.

I don't have a method further up until I get some other opinions on the situation. Is it possible that a program is causing this problem or is it really a hardware problem?

I would add also on an attempt to upgrade it has no force to leave me and tried to install. In my opinion, he got completely installed and got to the final reboot but it gave an error that it could not be installed and rolled back to Vista.

If more info is needed please ask. I hope that someone has ideas. If this isn't the case, I can try the Microsoft forum.

Well, I finally got upgraded to Windows 7 just now here and my boy I feel like a fool d * n. I unplugged my external hard drive, uninstalled my printer and other external usb devices and was about to start uplugging my tuner TV, graphics card, thinking that one of them was the problem, then I uninstalled Alcohol 120% and poof, the SCSI/RAID host controller error disappeared. Also just to be sure, that I uninstalled Kaspersky Internet Security to ensure that it would not interfere with the installation and reinstalled after.

Still a lot of things to study but most of the time. The only problem I've come across so far is the HP Solution Center detects no not my printer. I printed a test page, there is work. I do not know if the program just needs updating or if I need to uninstall and reinstall the software, but it shouldn't be a major issue anyway.

So far the system running much more quickly than before and I'm loving the new features. I will continue to pick up my pride on the floor that I check things and remind anyone that gets this issue uninstall Alcohol or Daemon Tools, if they are installed.

    ESXi 5.5 system requirements

When you install or upgrade to ESXi 5.5, ensure that the host meets these minimum hardware configurations supported by ESXi 5.5:

    1. Your equipment is compatible on the VMware Compatibility Guide. This includes:

    • Systems compatibility
    • Compatibility I/O (network adapters and HBAS)
    • Storage compatibility
    • Backup software compatibility
  • You have a 64-bit processor. VMware ESXi 5.5 only installs and runs on 64-bit x 86 CPU servers. He argues also that LAHF and SAHF CPU instructions.
  • You have a computer with at least two hearts 5.5 ESXi host.
  • The NX/XD bit is set for the CPU in the BIOS.
  • Your processor is supported. ESXi supports a wide range of x 64 of multicore. For a complete list of taken processors supported,
  • You have 4 GB of RAM. This is the minimum required to install ESXi 5.5. Provide at least 8 GB of RAM to take full advantage of the features of ESXi and run virtual machines in typical production environments.
  • Support for hardware virtualization (Intel VT - x or AMD RVI) is enabled on x 64 CPU (to support 64-bit virtual machines). For a complete list of operating systems that are supported with ESXi, hosts running virtual machines with 64-bit operating systems have these hardware requirements:
    • For AMD Opteron systems, processors must be Opteron Rev E or later.
    • For Intel Xeon systems, processors must include support for Intel Virtualization Technology (VT). Many servers which may include processors with VT support VT disabled by default, so you have to manually enable VT. If your CPU support VT, but you do not see this option in the BIOS, contact your provider to request a version of BIOS that allows to enable VT support.

Note: to determine if your server has 64-bit VMware support, download The utility of Identification of CPU on the VMware site.

  • You have one or more Gigabit or 10 GB Ethernet controllers. For a list of network adapter models supported, refer to the VMware Compatibility Guide.
  • You with any combination of one or more storage controllers are:
    • Basic SCSI controllers. Adaptec Ultra-160 or Ultra-320, LSI Logic Fusion-MPT and most NCR/Symbios SCSI.
    • RAID controllers. Reference Dell PERC (Adaptec RAID and LSI MegaRAID) RAID HP Smart Array or IBM ServeRAID controllers (Adaptec).
  • You have a SCSI drive or a local, off-grid, RAID LUN with unpartitioned for VMS space.
  • For Serial ATA (SATA), a drive connected through taken SAS controllers supported or supported integrated SATA controllers. SATA drives are supposed to be remote, no premises. These discs are not used as a partition to scrape by default because they are too far away.

Note: you cannot connect a SATA CD-ROM device to a virtual machine on a host ESXi 5.5. To use the SATA CD-ROM device, you must use the IDE emulation mode.

  • You use a supported storage system. ESXi 5.5 supports the installation and start-up of these storage systems:
    • SATA drives. SATA drives connected behind the SAS controllers supported or SATA controllers support built-in.

      • LSI1068E (LSISAS3442E)
      • LSI1068 (SAS 5)
      • IBM ServeRAID 8K SAS controller
      • Smart Array P400/256 controller
      • 5.0.1 Dell PERC controller
    • SATA drives. Support SATA edge include:
      • Intel ICH9
      • NVIDIA MCP55
      • ServerWorks HT1000

Note: ESXi does not support using SATA internal disks local to the host server to create VMFS stores of data that is shared between multiple ESXi hosts.

  • You have disks Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) supported for ESXi 5.5 installation and to store virtual machines in VMFS partitions.
  • You have dedicated disk SAN Fibre Channel or iSCSI.
  • You have USB devices supported for ESXi installation.
  • You can install and start ESXi a FCoE LUN using VMware software FCoE adapters and network with FCoE adapters discharge capacity
  • . See the documentation for storage for more information about installing and initializing ESXi with vSphere FCoE software.
  • ESXi 4.1: Got USB to work on virtual computers.  But VM Windows reports that no host controller USB HI-SPEED installed... »

Just upgraded to ESXi 4.0 to 4.1 and see some signs of progress on the issue of the support of USB devices.  I was able to add the brand of my Dell UPS (made by Eaton) and SBS 2008 it has detected and power management now shows battery and plugged in settings Finally I can safely shut down or Hibernate my VMs!  I wonder if I can install this connection USB uninterruptible power supplies on all my virtual machines of Windows and get the native Windows UPS management?  Only way to tell, I'll post back once I have it try...

Back to the original question: when I tried to add 2 different USB, Windows memory keys reported an error of installation:

Then I also have a popup telling me that no HI - SPEED Host controller not installed.  In addition, USB memory sticks do not show as readers, which no doubt associated with the forst above error screen.

I'll restart the SBS 2008 VM and see if that helps.

    Thanks for posting.

You don't need to worry too stop host, maybe unless your ca stop on power failure and you have an extended battery operation and the host is likely to overheat in this situation.  You can use plink SSH on ESXi host application turn off (must enable SSH first of course) or use a properly designed perl script.

  • SCSI Raid to VM card

    Hello!

I would like to ask if anyone knows a way to map a SCSI Raid directly to a virtual computer.

We have a Windows 2003 server with a 1, 5 TB SCSI Raid attached via a U320 SCSI-controller storage of some data and backups. Now this rather old server died and I want to integrate the raid into our virtualized infrastructure. One of our 4 ESXi servers has the necessary SCSI controller, so I was wondering if there is a way to connect the raid to this server and map the volume directly to a virtual machine on that host (to get access to the data that is stored on the raid again).

    Yes, RDM should solve this problem;

Please save your number of logical unit first, and then create RDM on your logical unit number, for example

    vmkfstools - z /vmfs/devices/disks/naa.*** /vmfs/volumes//lun.vmdk

then add lun.vmdk to your virtual machine,

    Binoche, VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA

  • need to install a host controller universal usb highspeed for my hi-speed devices

I still see a warning that (my device could perform fi more fast it was connected to hi speed U.S.B?)

If you see a message like this:

This USB device can perform faster if you connect it to a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 port.
For a list of available ports, click here.

This is an informational message and not an error message.

You can see if you can actually fix it, or you can decide to disable your USB device messages and will see the message.  If you disable the USB of reporting mechanism, you will not be able to see all messages from USB devices either.

Disable the notification mechanism is considered to be the 'fixing' to some people, but not for me.

It would be better to fix it in fact instead of just to disable the notification mechanism.

Let's see what you have right now:

Open the Device Manager by clicking Start, run and enter in the box:

    %SystemRoot%\System32\devmgmt.msc

    Click OK.

Do you see any red Xs or yellow? s in the list of devices and if so, in what areas?

Now, expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers section and look for the words:

Host improved or enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller controller

Here is a sample screenshot of what to look for in your device manager:

    http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/2466/devicemanagerenhanced.PNG

You see the word enhanced in all sections under Universal Serial Bus controllers section?

If you do not see the word enhanced, you probably just update your device USB drivers.  Until you do, you will continue to see the annoying reminder message.

If you want another set of eyeballs on your information to find out what you have, follow these steps:

Click Start, run and enter in the box:

    Msinfo32

Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.

For more information of USB port, expand the components section, click on USB, click on edit, select all, copy and then past he feedback here.

There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.

HP Envy 14 using, Windows 7 ultimate (64 bit), with a Targus USB 3.0 docking station. Use laptop for almost a year. Relatively few problems, but more and more lately. Last is a failure of the device. Device Manager reports a failure with the Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host controller and says 'Cannont start (Code 10) device' in the properties. • Recurring question Renesas Electronics USB 3.0 Host Controller

    Hello

I get this question contextual all a few days/weeks/months and she has been driving me crazy, but I think I have narrowed down and would like tips are possible please.

    Question:

USB 3.0 Host Controller error Code 10

USB 3.0 ports front and back go dead.

    Cause:

I don't know at all, I feel that perhaps it is TuneUp Utilities 2013/14 or maybe my smart phone Samsung Galaxy S3.

    Difficulty:

Uninstall/remove up to present drivers, by restarting and installing fresh drivers do not work. He used also but the last 2-3 times, I couldn't get the error to go away as a result of this process.

I talked to a technician Support of Dell by phone and by working together, we found to be a BIOS problem, since a full format of the PC still had the error when he brought upward once again, leaving only the hardware itself (USB 3.0 ports) or BIOS.

Bringing F2 menu and make a F9 reset by default a F10 save and exit solves this problem, every time.

So what is a BIOS issue or a compatibility issue?

I know how to fix it temporarily, but I don't know the cause.

    Data sheet:

    Alienware Aurora R4

    3970 X 6 @ 3.5 extreme core I7 (turbo boost 4.3)

    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 690

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit

    Internet Explore 10

    32 RAM

    Liquid cooled

    3 TB Seagate hard drive

    BIOS A07

If you would like more information, please let me know.

I have no discharge reports that the PC did not yet have a BSOD, but this is a replacement PC after the last (same PC and specs) had exactly the same problem and basically could not be fixed by a Dell technician.

    OK, that sounds good.

What I might suggest at this stage is to put the service 'Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework' to 'auto' as this can help with any problem of detection:

Start > type services.msc in the box "search programs and files", then press "Enter".

In the right window to scroll down to the "Windows Driver Foundation - User-mode Driver Framework" service and double-click it and set the "Startup type" to "Automatic" > OK

    Then, restart the computer.

Then, if Renesas USB 3.0 controller number happen can you create and provide the .evtx, and nfo files to the exact time.

Usually the IR port doesn't need any further pilots.
It uses a standard Windows driver and you won't find any Toshiba IrDA drivers for this device. It doesn t exist.
    This route allows to install the IrDA driver;

The Intel Chipset driver support USB drivers. You can download it from the Support/Drivers from Toshiba website.

But if you have recently installed a strange USB device (perhaps a keyboard/mouse/drive HARD USB), the driver may be contradictory. If you remove this driver from Control Panel-> features of the program first, and then reinstall the Intel Chipset driver.
