SCXI-1581 reading bad weather

Hello

I'm an intern summer and I'll try to find some help with the SCXI-1581 module. We had a major failure during the test of an engine and it damaged some of the test equipment. We have replaced all that appears to be damaged and tried to restart the test system. Everything worked fine except for this add-on. I use a 100ohm RTD to test the different channels and I get a constant temperature of evil. Instead of the ambient temperature from 26 to 27 degrees Celsius, I myself am-243 degrees Celsius-244. It seems as if there could be a scaling factor that is causing temperatures to record these low values.

As part of my process of troubleshooting, I took the module SCXI-1581 the machine damaged and replaced by the same module from another machine. Temperature readings read correctly for all channels that I tested. Then I took the right module and put it back in the machine to work and he still read appropriate temperatures. With this small made check I took the bad module and placed in the machine to work and ended up reading the bad weather. At this point, I had concluded that the module must be bad and replaced the good module back into the machine to work. As a final check, I tested again temperatures and good module is reading the same bad temperatures as another module.

I have trouble believing that mearly placing bad module into the working machine was sufficient to damage the good module as well. So my question is, is it possible to adjust the scale factor or the SCXI-1581 module needs to be replaced? Is there something else I can do for these modules work?

I can not provided enough information, and for that I apologize. I'm not familiar with this equipment at 100%, but I'll do my best to provide additional information that may be required.

Thank you

Thanks for the reply.

My boss and I looked into it more and found the two cards to work very well. The error was in the RTD that we use to test the card.

In my Toshiba 39l4333dg, the weather is bad (an hour earlier than the current time). I guess it had something to do with time (DST) changes that have occurred lately in Poland. I tried to reset the TV but it didn't work.

You have a solution to this problem?

It's really confusing, because some toshiba cloud applications use the set time in the TV to determine whether some vids can be broadcast.

Yes, you will need to run a VBScript script, but at least it is a simple VBScript:

    L1 = NOC ("H10G4_lvdt.time")

    Call FormulaCalc ("Ch (L1): = Ch (L1) + NoValue * (Ch (L1)")<>

This has nothing to do with the Muse. • DAQ Assist reading bad voltage

    Hello

I use the DAQ Assistant VI to read a voltage analog input of a card of National Instruments PCI-6221. I read the AI0 pin voltage. I provide voltage directly on this pin of a continuous feed, but the measurement of voltage obtained from the DAQ Assistant is incorrect: it seems to be reduced by a factor of about 1/3. For example, if I have 4 volt power to pin AI0, DQA help bed 1.43 Volts. I used a multimeter to confirm that the voltage on the PIN AI0 is actually 4 Volts and I know that the problem is with my LabVIEW program and not my diet.

Here are the steps that lead to my problem:

    1. in the block diagram, I insert a block DAQ Assistant.

    2. in the Properies of the DAQ Assistant, I select an analog input-> voltage

    3. select channel ai0

    4. I click "test" to test the channel

    5. the tension is indicated as being 1.43 Volts, although 4 Volts is provided to pin (this is confirmed by a multimeter).

    6. to ensureI click OK to complete the configuration of the DAQ Assistant. I run the program and draw blood. The graph also 1.43 Volts.

Does anyone have an idea why this can be produced. I have spent a good 4 hours trying to diagnose this and haven't found anything.

  • When I have bad weather I lose my connection several times

When there is a storm passing (on me or nearby) I lose my connection several times during the storm. I have Verizon DSL. Military have been repeatedly here, check my connections, connections to the outside on the poles, but never nailed the problem. They even ran a direct homerun to my DSL router/modem. Also during the game (UT2K4) my ping shot up to 988 several times. It gets very frustrating, especially when Verizon can't find something wrong. I'm the only one on this line. I have DishNetwork hooked to a modem, I think it is called Sling. Wi - Fi from the receiver to the Slingbox, then the Ethernet cable to a router/modem. May - so that it affects my ping? The router/modem would be bad? It's a westell 327W. I have a connection of Meg 7.

If you connect your PC to your router/DSL modem via a wired connection and disconnect all other devices (wired & wireless), it would help narrow down if the problem is with your DSL service for your home or something in the configuration of your home. If your connection is OK like this, add devices to your LAN setup one-at-a-time to try to work out which one is causing the problem.

  • bad weather direct display of the app city

    Hello

My hometown is Sydney, and it is updated in the weather application.

For some reason, the direct application is showing me in Canberra and Sydney not.

Canberra is not yet listed as a city in my application.

    Help, anyone?

I hate windows 8 so it is unbelievable.

In this case, I would set your city directly instead of using the automatic detection of your location.

    1. Click on 'Change Home' at the bottom:
    2. Type "Sydney" and choose it from the list:

Now, it will show Sydney for you.

Also, if you hate Windows 8, go to http://cmdrkeene.com/r/WindowsH8 how to set that works as Windows 7 instead.

  • Captivate Demo 7, make a pause as if backup automatic in very bad weather

    Hi all

Any program of captivate for the first time user, please bear with me

I use the demo in the meantime my company to install the licenses for my permanent use.  My question is that Captivate will pause as is the automatic backup and then moves.  This is a nice feature, if I really want, but I do not have, and it does in the middle of video capture. This is a major problem when I do the operation of software capture and Captivate decides to take a break, but my software I capture does not work.

Any ideas on that?  I looked in preferences, but does not see where I can cut autosave, if it's really an AutoSave.

Thanks for the help in advance

    Hello

After CMOS battery changing the BIOS, the settings are removed.
I would recommend to get into the BIOS, and there you can find the option for the date and time system.
Try to set a right time and save your changes.

  • PT100 with 1581-1300 and 1102-1303

    Hi all

How to connect a temperature sensor PT100 in combination with a SCXI-1102 module is described in the manual of the SCXI-1581 module.

I do not have the two devices, the only problem is that on the 1581, I have a block of connection of 1300 (as described in the manual), but on the 1102, I have a block of connection of 1303.

My question is simple: can I use this connection block 1303 for temperature measurements with of the PT100?

    Dear Joreon,

I apologize for the delay on your question and I hope this answer will help you with your problem.

After a search I did on our database for the SCXI-1303, I found that it is possible to use this block of endings for temperature measurements, and also discovered that the difference between the SCXI-1300 module and SCXI-1303 on the temperature measurement is only the accuracy of SYC (cold junction sensor). You can look at the manuals below and get additional information about the terminal blocks.

    Module SCXI-1300 manual page 9 (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/322715a.pdf)

    -Module SCXI-1303 manual page 11 (http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/321923b.pdf)

Also take a look at this manual on the procedure of calibration because it actually explains how check measures temperature which are acquired by temperature sensors.

  • Problems syncing with GPIB Read on a SR400

I'm using LabView to control a meter of photons SR400 of Stanford research systems. Can control the box easily, I'm having problems with reading the correct data in the box of. I get incorrect values of 0 ', 6 and 134' rather than real account numbers. I see the correct values on the display screen, but GPIB reads bad.

It's what I've tried and what I've learned:

    • At first, I was getting random 6 error LabVIEW (from reading GPIB) which would prevent my program to run. To resolve this problem, I put a case Error statement after she and simply write the word ERR in my data file and move on to my next point data. This stopped my cessation program, but started badly reading the values using reading GPIB.

    • The SR400 takes data for N periods on two channels, A & B. The first column of the channel A every 6 seconds and the rest of the columns on both channels would be regular values. However, the problem got worse and my first column of the channel began to write 0s, the second column of the channel A would be 6 s with some 134 s and the rest of the columns would be nice. But, if I had only 1 time for each column, I now have data lost on two channels A and B. A channel would be of 0 s and channel B 6s and 134 s.

    • This problem is sporadic. I can't control when it arrives. Today he works. Yesterday's didn't.

    • It seems to be a timing issue, but I don't know what I can do about it.

    My questions for you are:

    1. Is it better to use GPIB or VISA to communicate? I use GPIB cabling, so be it.

    2. How can you correct problems of timing in GPIB?

    3. Any suggestions on how to improve this?

I joined code of 8.2 and 2011. I'm trying to convert our code in 2011 to see if it solves the problems. The VI with GPIB Read is CollectData/TakeData and it is called by a VI, where he gets called frequently, but the reading and writing of all MTP recharge time is done by data files CollectData/Take.

Thank you all in advance for your help. I'm a grad student and still learn from these electronic and LabVIEW.

Start by lowering of the busspeed. I think that 1 uS is more fast enough for the handshake and then I would disable autopolling.
You can do it in Max settings for your gpib card.
Low level visa uses gpib, but never use it directly. In any case the speed is completely determined by the slowest device on the bus, complaining the sr400

  • Precision in the reading of temperature PT100 and Module of NI9219

    Hello

I m the temperature reading with a PT100, connected to the NI9219 Module. I put LabVIEW on mode 4 son RTD (PT100 range). I m able to read the weather temperature but I m do not know the right precision s or not. The temperature is between 25.5 and 25.8 ° C. Is this possible? I am able to do something to have more precision?

    Thank you in advance,

    Claudia

    Hi Claudia,.

The specifications for the 9217 provide the absolute measurement accuracy Pt 100 RTD (3 and 4 sons) on page 14, it is not necessary to calculate [1].

Since the 9219 is more flexible in the types of measures that it can bring, absolute accuracy for each use case is not provided. Instead, OR gives error of gain values and offset to be used for the calculation of the absolute accuracy [2].

Follow this logic to calculate the absolute accuracy:

(Absolute accuracy) = (entry reading) * (Gain error + drift in temperature) + (Offset + drift in temperature error)

Reading the line "RTD 4-wire or 3 wire Pt 100" in the table on page 24, the error of gain and offset for a module between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius is ±0, 1% of reading entry for gain and offset sectors ±2400ppm. Drift in temperature comes into play when the module is outside the normal operating temperature, but for Pt 100, gain drift is ±15ppm and the offset of the drift is the ±60ppm (see page 25).

So, for a module at room temperature 23 degrees Celsius and a Pt100 to 100 degrees Celsius using the 505 Ohm input range, the calculation is:

    At 100 ° C, the RTD would measure 138.5 Ohms if its temperature coefficient 0,00385 Ohm/Ohm / ° C, then

    Absolute accuracy = (138.5 ohms * 0,1%) + (2400 ppm * 505 Ohm)
    = 1.212 Ohm + 0,1385 ohm
    = 1.3505 ohms

    fracture of 0,385 Ohm / ° C, and

    Absolute accuracy = ±3, 5 degrees Celsius
