  When I insert the SD card into the laptop, nothing happens. My SD card does not seem to be recognized by the system.
  I tried to different maps, but none of them have been recognized.
  SD host controller is listed correctly in the Device Manager.
  I don't know what happened, but there is no problem with SD cards before you recognize.

  Hi there, my suggestion would be first uninstall and then reinstall the drivers from your SD controller (available for your laptop model on your regional site of Toshiba drivers).   Usually, if you have a laptop wireless switch should have a wireless LAN card too. In your case I would try to install the driver. Then the WLAn card should appear correctly in Device Manager:

  If that doesn t work, you can try a BIOS update.

  Are you running the factory settings or you have installed your own version of Windows?

  I don't know m but on some BIOS you can enable/disable the network adapter. Did you check that?
  In addition I recommend you load the default settings in the BIOS. Maybe it works.

  And have you ever tried a BIOS update? You can find it on the Toshiba site.

  In the worst case, it s a hardware malfunction of the NIC or motherboard and must be replaced :(

  The FN key flashcards (which fall down from the top of the screen) worked very well during the first week of this new notebook, they seemed to disappear by themselves (windows updates are the devil, so I point the finger) and I spent a lot of time to solve this issue.

  I downloaded the last utility PVAT and support flashcard Toshiba. installed pvat and then rebooted and runs the installer utility flash card which uninstalled the utility then rebooted and relaunched the installer of the utility, rebooted and still no joy.

  My FN keys still work, but I can't see where im wifi/bluetooth, without the flash card power.

  What else can be done once the flash card utility and pvat have been installed?

  I had a similar problem that Flash Cards didn t appear more... As far as I know it was related to additional software that I installed if I remember correctly, it was VMware

  So, if you install this program to remove it. Also, make sure that the utility Support Flash Cards and value added package starts correctly.

  Before installing the newer versions, delete the old one hand and run CCleaner to clean the registry.

  I recently bought a new Lenovo Y580 which came with pre-installed Windows 8.

  Hated Windows 8, so I erased the hard drive completely of all partitions, installed an SSD and installed Windows 7 on this point using drivers available on the Lenovo Web site.

  Now, I have a very irritating problem that the laptop will not get an address IP via DHCP on the wired LAN or wireless LAN.

  I need to specify an IP address manually for it to connect.

  All other devices on the network are allocated IPs without any problem.

  This could be the cause?

  I searched these forums and the only solution I've found someone said they had accidentally activated flight mode, and it worked when it was off. Unfortunately this isn't the problem here, as the plane is definitely off.

  Thanks for the suggestion, but in the meantime, I managed to solve this problem...

  I started Windows in safe mode with networking, open the property page for the selected network adapter "obtain an IP address automatically" and plugged!

  When I rebooted in 'normal' mode, the connection has worked as it should. Not quite sure why, bit, I'm happy!

  I recently had a power surge and now none of my usb ports are usable, and I had to switch to analog cable to use my monito., also using the beside picture dvi hdmi cable sparkles.   The Device Manager shows everything works and the appropriate drivers are installed. IM using windows 7 with an asus motherboard P5nesli. IM pretty computer savy but it left me speechless.   Completely baffled. I did something that I'm not aware of this and now impossible to recover photos I recently downloaded to LR. I took some photos last night and when I download, the file structure on the right side (in import mode) appears to be the structure I had a year ago and not what appears on my hard drive.   If I find all the drives through "My Computer", it is listed as a removable drive, however when I double click on the drive it asks me to insert the media on the way I have.

  As I know the card Satellite A300-177 reader supports the xD picture cards up to 2 GB.
