  I read in the forum on Satellite A300 card reader and I found the info very useful.
  The card reader supports the types of cards:

  -SD Card - 8MB - 2GB
  -SDHC - 4 GB card
  -photo - 16 MB - 2 GB xD card
  -Memory Stick - 8MB - 256MB
  -Memory Stick Pro - 256 MB - 2 GB
  -MultiMediaCard - 8 MB - 1 GB
  -miniSD (with SD adapter) - 32 MB - 2 GB

  As you can see that the SDXC cards are not taken in charge... in this case I recommend using a common external USB card that would support the SDXC cards

  AFAIK the SD SD card reader supports card up to 2 GB, SDHC up to 16 GB and mini SD (with adapter) up to 2GB.

  I didn t find all the details on the use of larger SDHC cards and I think you will have to test it yourself. But in my opinion, there could be a problem with these cards!

  This does not mean that the SDXC UHS-1 cards are out of the question. You do not have a desktop PC and you can buy and install a card reader compatible with the format you want. It's just a matter of looking for the card reader you need, purchase, installed in an available housing and connect to a USB port. Take a look at what NewEGG and other online sellers have to offer.

  Just wander if anyone knows if the HP Envy 13-s008na works with an SDXC card.  I talked to the support team and the only information available to them are the standard specifications is to say it's a standard Sd or SDHC card.

  I am concidering using a large (128 GB) SD cards, but they are available on the SDXC cards.

  -Can be used ONLY with SDXC host devices SDXC memory cards.
  -SDXC memory cards will NOT work with SD / SDHC host devices.

  I read where you can use XC cards HC readers but you must format it in Fat32 not exFat that XC uses for her to work.

  I'm trying to download files from a card SDXC 64 GB to my PC running Windows XP SP3 by using a card reader SDXC and directly from my SDXC compatible camera.  After investigating the causes of the failure I downloaded the file:

  WindowsXP-KB985704 - x 86 - ENU.exe

  I assume that, when it is installed, it will be possible to have the recognized SDXC card and download files on my PC.  However, when I try to run the file .exe above I repeatedly get the message "system cannot find the file specified."  I checked that the file is in a folder called 'Downloads' in 'My Documents'.

  Can someone please help?

  This can occur when the file has permissions for the user (you), but not the administrator (which is the account that runs the .exe file).

  Check the file permissions and the downloads directory. Have you downloaded this file on your desktop and then moved to downloads?

  No, Sandisk does not offer a player who accepts the SDXC format natively. And with the direction, the company seems to be going, I doubt you'll see a.   Yes, a Clip of Rockboxed +, Clip Zip or rocket will be an SDXC card. But then so using firmware Moose too... If you re - format the card in FAT32 instead of the exFAT file format the card comes natively with. RB does not recognize the SDXC format either, so if that's your only reason to try it, don't bother. Rockbox has many other features and options not present in (original firmware), so it benefits a lot of people. But this isn't for everyone.
