• How can I include a search page on the web in an E-mail?

  I have a desktop HP TouchSmart 610-1147c. running Windows 7 64 bit.  I should answer that question years ago, but I did not... terrible huh?  Anyway, how can I include a page from a web search I did in an E-mail?  Believe it or not, I have never had to do before, so have no idea how to do that.  I have the feeling that he would be sent as an attachment, but how do not know how to do!

  Well, the way I would do is copy and paste the URL in the e-mail so that the recipient can click the link and get the right of the Web page.

  I would like if all goes well imagine after having included the alt and figurecaption text in my web pages which my images start to appear in the search engine image collections. • Page of search results on the Web App

  I'm not new to BC - but I have to be over looking something. I have a Web App form search on a page, I removed the module of results, I've swapped the new results page for the oid {module} (or whatever it is) and placed the tag search results on the search page to what I'm pointing...

  The feature works fine ON the same page-, but the system can't find the page (i.e. Page not found) when I try to move the search results to the new page. Please help me! I'm sure it's something stupid that I am- but I'm going nuts! Thank you!

• Using a Google search engine on the Web site

  I have a Google search on a Web site, that I'm working on.

  For some reason, it works on all pages, except the online store.

  Check out www.scomputing.com and then try to use the search engine in the 'shop '.

  I copied and pasted the coding of the index page to the online store and it still does not work.

  Am I missing something?

• Frame12 include master page or page reference objects in the HTML Help output?

  Hi, I'm looking for a copy of FrameMaker 12.

  While I can do a lot with the settings available in the dialog box publish, there still doesn't seem to be possible to include objects from Master Pages or reference Pages in CHM output?

  When you use TechCommSuite, I can work around this by applying "Master Pages" within RoboHelp (for example to add a standard footer to each theme and with a small logo of declaration and copyright society).

  It's not like there's a way to do it with the command post of Frame12? Or am I missing something?

  If you look in the outputs > General properties of the publication settings page, there is now an option to import the HTML template file. The option type of works in a way bass-ackwards, you click on the box first, then you get a window to select the file and then you must click on the button import.

• Change the look of the web flash output?

  Does anyone know if it is possible to change the settings for the power of the flash again? For example, it now appear with a gray background, the control bar is completely opaque, and the rate of dissolution of the control bar is slow.

  After I posted the files I end up editing the "index.html" file and the "Theme.xml" file in Notepad to be more to my liking, i.e. black background, 1 second dissolve, control bar opaque to 50%, etc..

  Is there a way to 'my settings' work every time on output instead of editing them every time?

  Theme.XML is not project specific.  Just do a theme.xml with your preferences.  Copy to replace the new theme.xml for each power of lightning.

• Web-help output - question of square bales (firefox)

  I wonder if someone came up with a fix for balls square not be properly displayed in Firefox.

  I created a few lists using the list multi level styles that work perfectly.

  The bullet list view excellent in all browsers apart from firfox. It's the square bullets displayed as symbols of § .  

  The obvious solution is not not to use square bales

  Or use an image for ball square but can that make differently in print.

  I'd rather work around the problem using the default chips.

  Appreciate it is a matter of firefox rather than Robohelp specfic. But of course someone out there has a solution?

  I'm juggling round with styles to try and sort it out but would like advice.

  With thanks to Vivek Kumar for highlighting, you can specify other fonts, here's how.

  

  The simple way is just to scroll down the drop-down list Style list, and then select Filled Square.

  Click new and you will enter a whole new world, where you can select any font at your disposal. It is suggested that you select a unicode font.

  

  Start by clicking on + and enter a name for the sequence. Then, select the desired font. Easiest way to add the chip you want is going to run Windows and type Charmap. Select the same font you want and locate the ball you want. Click Select and then copy and that the ball is now in your Clipboard.

  Where do you see the Edit sequence box, paste the chip you want.

  Click OK, and then select this sequence in the first screen.

  You can create other sequences for lower levels.

  The Add option is to allow more than one item at a given level. This would be used for alphanumeric characters to give 1, 2, 3 etc.

• Missing images in Web help

  I've recently encountered a problem with a RoboHELP project where the graphics appear not in the output of the web help despite having been properly linked in the topics. This has happened spontaneously without any action on my part.
  
  The subsequent investigation revealed that missing of the web help output image files indicated is no longer in the view project HR under the Images. They were always present on the c: if displayed using the windows Explorer.
  
  Once one of the missing image files is linked using HR, other missing image files appear in the project view.
  
  
  This problem seems to occur after:
  
  1 periphery problems
  2. when the result has been the web help
  
  More curious, however, is that the HR project and the compiled output were all stored on my local hard drive that is NOT on a network drive.
  
  I used a folder in my documents to store the HR project and the compiled output. The compiled output was also performed on the local hard drive, not the network. We run IE7, but I observed similar problems under IE6.
  
  Which leave people:
  1 could avoid this in the future?
  2. has anyone out there had similar problems?
  
  So far, I've simplified the structure of the project with no record of dvide project but not subfolders. I'm also trying to flee Jean-Claude C:\directory etc under 'MY Documents'

  Update on the situation...
  By happy coincidence, my HR crashed this afternoon while I had help 'project x' open!

  This meant that I could test a few things. When project x was compiled help web, surprise, surprise, missing graphics again.

  I then closed HR and made sure the CPD file for project x. I deleted the DPC draft x directory file. Following this I opened the project x HR again. I then compiled and all the graphics were back.

  In other words the cause of the problem proved quite peremptorily file CPD being corrupted by an event while this praticular project has been opened. As a further test, I opened and compiled a few other web projects that were not open at the time of the accident and they were fine with no missing graphics.

  In any case thanks a lot again for the advice.

  For anyone else reading this, I feel that using projects merged on a large aid system might be a good way to limit the damage to a great support system. In this way we work only on one segment at a time and if an event occurs the damage is limited to what was open at that time.

  

• Where the search button in the Portfolio on the web?

  While creating my portfolio in Acrobat Pro 11, the search button is on the top right of the window and works correctly. As soon as I publish the portfolio to a web site, the button disappears and I find myself with just the buttons 'Layout' and 'files '. What happenes in Chrome and IE. How can I get the search button appears?

  A number of years, our Organization has created a help chm file attached to an application. Subsequently, a web help version was developed and published on our website.

  A request was made that when the user clicks Help in the application, the web version display. Unfortunately, changing it the button in-app help is not an option that we are not the owners of the application.

  Therefore, as a work around, I would like to know if it is possible to display the web help version when the user clicks the help button by changing the chm.

  My plan is to create a chm file unique with the identical file as the chm file name. During the onload procedure, the user is directed to the version of web help.

  I tried a redirect issue, but it does not; I think I need to add an Onload event in the < body > tag, but I don't know what coding is required to make this work.

  You may need to include the start page for the project, according to how the Server Web is implemented.

• Prevent crawlers search of the help output engines

  However, it seems that we could add code in the project itself in order to stop search engines to explore using. We tried to add this code in our master page from the master page is applied to all subjects, but the code does not stay after the output has been generated:

  Does anyone know how we can prevent search engines to explore our help?

  The masterpage heading will not work for this. Personally, I would also do a find and replace in the output. It's the fastest way.

  Remember that search engines index only not your from site of meta tags is a courtesy, it does not completely block bots. Only the good guys such as Google will hear it. Not even a robots.txt file will block crawlers. (See for example: learn more about robots.txt - files help search on Console) If you don't want really not any unauthorized access, you can force authentication on your server.

  You can install and activate up to 2 Macs for your own use. That would leave you with a spare part if something were to happen with your old Mac.

  However if you are going to get rid of, see help > deactivate, then also check the option to remove the serial number power the computer off.

  Then go to your folder CS6 use the Uninstall.app to properly remove Photoshop. Do not drag the folder to the trash.

  You can install fresh on your new Mac from your drive, turn and look for the updates.

  As a note: do not move or copy your old installation of Photoshop to a new Mac.

• With the help of an index PDF to search multiple PDF files on the web

  Is it possible to access a pdf catalogue indexed on the web. Help Adobe seems to indicate that it is possible only if all PDF files and index are in the same folder, but it does not work. Do I need a third party search utility?

  PDF IFilter is used for this purpose.  Then once the OS has indexed your web site, you can set up a similar to the IIS snap-in web search research provided by OS.
