• Complete the URL for popupURL of a table/Page element?

  Hi all
  Someone please tell me if the URL to run a report BEEP can be filled with a table/page element when using popupURL and if so, how?
  
  Background:
  I have a Table called TBL_LETTERS with a column varchar2 REPORT_URL
  I have a Page (Pg 303) that fills a Page of text element (P303_REPORT_URL) with a URL string appropriate to the table.
  
  Here's my problem:
  I would like to replace my function javascript to work (see below):
  
  Run myLetter_40()
  {

  .. .but it does not work.
  
  With my knowledge of limited javascript, I can only imagine that the variables with success a value in my first example of assigned function do not succeed to my second, I'm probably just passing through all this as a simple string (like this: + & BI_URL.) Guest/DEV/TEST/FRM_40/MM_40/MM_40.xdo?_xpf= & _xpt = 1 & P_CASE_ID = & P303_CASE_ID. & P_PERSON_ID = & _xt = MM_40_xf & P303_PERSON_ID = rtf +), but would appreciate very much all the advice.
  
  What I need to
  a. create the string of REPORT_URL differently in the table so that when it is passed to the Page element it includes the required variable data?
  b. something completely different?
  c. the forget, it is not possible!
  
  PS. I use Apex 3.2.1

  you could build the url with javascript like this:

     popupURL('&BI_URL.Guest/DEV/TEST/FRM_40/MM_40/MM_40.xdo?_xpf=&_xpt=1&P_CASE_ID=' + $v('P303_CASE_ID') + '&P_PERSON_ID=' + $v('P303_PERSON_ID') + '&_xt=MM_40_xf=rtf');
  

  the javascript $v function belongs to the Apex javascript library and gets the value of an element of HTML page.

• 6/HTML5 URL for loading Captivate but Captivate page comes down to a 404 error

  Hi all!

  I'm sure it's something simple, but I can't seem to understand what is happening. I have a Captivate 6 project (http://cs.franklin.edu/~heinem01) which has several slides linking the HTML5/jQuery pages for interactivity. I advanced actions implemented on the front slide for the promotion of text box, and then the last step, I've coded it to open the URL in a new window and also advance to the next slide (so when the user clicks on the close link which exists on the html5/jquery page, they will have to return to the screen of captivate and they can continue on). The new page is coming fine, but the captivate project is droping to a 404 error instead of just moving to the next slide. What Miss me?   I don't know if Miss me a step in my Advanced action or if I have something stuck in the captivate file to cause it. Any ideas would be appreciated!

  Look more closely at your URL in your tip action.  It looks like you can be a link to a URL that does not exist.

  There have been problems with Cp 5.0 and 5.5 with the target don't paste not correctly when selected.  This bug may have carried over from Cp 6.0.  I choose a different target... and then put it back again.

  You may just want to remove the step "open URL or file" and re-create it.  Do not click on the button «...» "elipsis, just type the URL by hand and see if that makes a difference.

  This looks like a problem maybe caused by adware on your pc (oracle is group the ask toolbar in its critical security updates if you don't mind a disselect for example).

  Please go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.). also go to Control Panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there.

  It is actually called Subject: Home , but the only way to know would be if you were viewing the page and called to the top of the Page Info dialog... who, for future reference you can get using one of these methods:

  • Right click on a box empty page and select View Page Info
  • (menu bar) Tools > Page Info
  • Click on the globe or padlock icon in the address bar > more information

  Hello, you can either open all the pages you want to have shown at startup in firefox, then go to firefox > options > general and click on "use current Pages" or manually add the default start page to the list. its address is "subject: House.

  Are you talking about topic: newtabs page?

  Type of topic: config< enter > in the address bar.

• Restore the old logo of firefox in the start page for firefox &amp; lose crazy tail Fox logo

  Within the last few days my regular firefox logo appearing on the firefox start page has changed on my desktop (windows xp) and two laptops (windows 8 and windows 8.1). All changed logos at the same time. The normal logo (globe portfolio blue orange fox) is now an orange Fox (globe portfolio) with a tail of control crazy that encircles wildly around the world a couple of times. Is not cute & compact but instead takes a lot of space and really bothers me. Firefox has been one of the rare browsers that I have the right to make the automatic updates, but I'm going to change these settings, since I had so much trouble trying to change the rear logo. My history of update watch 32.0.3 update has been installed on 24-09-14 & put update 32.0.2 installed 30-10-14, which seems odd to me since 32.0.3 would seem to come after 32.0.2. (There is no cartoon character saying "click me" nor is there excerpts, and I don't want to block the ordinary brand logo, I just want to get rid of this crazy tail logo).

  The change of the logo on the default home page is temporary for various promotional campaigns that Mozilla is run. Unfortunately, it seems to be the 'new normal' now. When he started last spring, it was like once every two months for a week or two, but now it looks like a 'week', then in another week or two another promo starts.

  Easier is to select the preferred search engine in the search bar on the Navigation toolbar to see the name of this search engine in the pref browser.search.selectedEngine and copy its value to the browser.search.defaultenginename pref.
  
  Firefox should use this search engine on the subject: home page after a closing and restarting Firefox.

  If this isn't the case, then you can have an extension which is predominant, especially if the pref change.

  You may need the old start page. Go to Firefox > Options and in the pane general, under Startup, click on restore by default. The page you have probably (http://google.com/firefox) only served to 3.6 (and tells you you are outdated), but some users seem to have gotten stuck on it after updating to Firefox 4 or upper version.
