  Try to uninstall the old version - it is not necessary.  An upgrade is a product independent and fully functional.

• How do I reinstall the old applications backed up using the backup recovery mgr software

  I fell off my machine after reloading some files of the .NET framework.  Because windows is more loaded, I used the HP recovery discs and made a backup complete both DVD and USB from my hard drive.  Then I went ahead and allow the recovery disk reformat and reload the factory system.  I went to use the recovery to re - install all applications and files, but it only copied all the stuff in a folder on my drive C:\.  IF ten to twelve apps (quicken, genealogy, adobe paintshop & pdf, MS SQL) are not loaded. It seems that my entire system sits in a file folder.  Great if I wanted to only data, but I really want to use applications without reloading everything from scratch.  I found no executable file to start such a reload. I was happy with my machine before the accident, and if I could do a simple recovery from before I installed these files, I would have done it instead of the reformat.  Alas, whatever the back backwards, I went, windows was pretty much DOA.

  Is it a lost cause?

  The HP Recovery software backup only a specific list of types of data files and the folder they reside in. No programs were backed up, and even if they were, they would not work properly. You will have to reinstall all the software that you previously installed.

• Multiple instances of Application when you use the background thread

  I recently added a background thread in an application that is launched from an other point of entry. This background thread will constantly (every X seconds) carry out checks of RMS and compares the timestamps. When recalcitrant, he sends a notification to the user who launches the application when clicked. The problem is...

  When the user clicks on the notification, it will open the application normally (with the icon and everything), but it also opens a second instance that does not have an icon. I have concluded that the code that actually launches the request isn't the culprit (because if I take out, it nevertheless opens the second instance). This makes me think that it has something to do with the ApplicationDescriptor.

  My notification Manager has this line:

  If I change this to only return the currentApplicationDescriptor() or add the arguments in the array of strings, notifications do not work.

  Instead of using the currentApplicationDescriptor(), I was referencing the module of the application itself using the CoreModuleManager. My init method takes in the ApplicationDescriptor and use it for everything.

  The best recommendation I can offer at this point is to create an extension of the component/libs/foundation/components/reference that includes the node of cq: model by specifying frameworkType: angular and supports transmission by proxy of applications angular.json and controller.js to the resource "referenced".   The way I've updated by SDK had to go on the native menu 'Help' and "Update SDK", as described on the web.

  In the top drop down menu, I selected:

  "BlackBerry 10 native SDK 10.0.9.2318"

  And my OS version is:

  I noticed that my:

  Project-> Build Configurations-> value activates

  ... has been configured for the device debugging

  But when I went to Run-> Debug Configurations, I selected "device-Release.

  I put this in the "device-Debug' and now I can start the application.

  Hi, when you refer to the ADM are you speaking of the DLM (Download Manager)? If, so do not use it. Rather go to this Troubleshooting Guide and make sure you have all the settings correct IE. Also, make sure the permissions section you need to use the administrator account. Then after uninstallation, use the manual installation programs. Don't forget to Reboot (restart) your computer after uninstallation and installation.

  Once you have done that the settings are correct, then you can SAVE the uninstaller to your desktop.

  Download and SAVE the manual installer on your desktop.

  Make sure that you disable all applications that use Flash (see the system tray area near the clock), such as MSN messenger or any other person.

  CLOSE all browsers, and then rerun the uninstaller, restart and then restart.

  Then, run the setup of IE, FF Installer(if you use it, if not don't even put it on your Desktop) and then restart.

• Firefox Mobile - can't get the Start Page to load

  For the life of me, I can't not my selected 'Start Page', any option to choose to load at startup of firefox.

  Regardless of the option that I get, "Firefox Start", "Current Page", "Custom" Page, it always starts with the last tab, I have seen in the previous session.

  I close firefox using Advanced Task Killer. Restart it, see the "loading" screen and it just goes to the last page I was on.

  It drives me crazy!

  To force Firefox to display your home page at startup:

  1. Type "subject: config" in the address bar, then press Enter/Go on your keyboard
  2. Search for "crash."
  3. Tap "browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash.
  4. Press the button to change from "true" to "false".

I migrated the application for JDeveloper 11 g and when I tried to build the project, it is throwing an exception as * "' error: project is not configured to use at least JDK 6. * after changing the version of jdk 1.4.2_04 for under project properties/libraries & Classpath/Java SE Version." There are other parameters to change? Can someone guide me on this.

  JDeveloper 11 g is a JEE 5 environment (so according to JSE 5), including medicines generic and other features. It so there's no way that you will always be able to run using any environment 1.4.x.
