With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot-~ 5 minutes...
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.

N ° of BB devices lack a complete email client on them. Instead, they depend on the BIS service to provide messaging functionality. BIS is active when you have also listed Internet/personal email where you currently see only Enterprise. All services of BIS, are sent to the device via data carrier network... contact them are therefore the right approach to discover why their network is no longer to deliver to you the services that you pay for.

  • Security blackBerry Smartphones software

I'm not running any security software on my BBB. I know I should. Most of you work what software?

    Looking for suggestions.

    Thank you

Well, there is not. And you can't have an 'anti' viruses for a virus that has not yet been achieved.

There are a couple of less scrupulous of software developers who sell anti-virus BlackBerry apps, but I don't recommend any more that I recommend that you turn off your car in sunscreens to hold down the key of the Sun on your paint job.

As long as you have a good backup (which allows to protect) and do a manual backup as well each week, you can support the virus when and if it opens and infects your machine. If. When and if.

That's my opinion. You can find some that are different, but I doubt their motivation and make sure that they are not wearing a tinfoil hat.

  • Wipe security blackBerry Smartphones

Hi peeps I just wanted know wot will happen if I do a wipe of security ok the manual says that I won't be able to send and receive emails again on this divice.now, I changed my id from bb and he said that there will be changes when wipe security is how can I do this and never send or email receive once again... someone can explain pls thanks...

Basically, a security wipe removes all personal information (contacts, calendar, messages, preferences, etc.) of the device and sets up a loan for use, the new device. So, once erased, you will start as if you have a new device. Register for the BlackBerryID on the device, set up your email accounts, etc..

  • Problem of password security blackBerry Smartphones

    I have a Bold 9700.

I have a unlock code to say: 1234

When I connect the phone to the Blackberry Desktop and wonder a Paswword I put in the: 1234

But it will not accept it.

    Can someone help me please?

Jaxrolo, welcome to the Support Forums.

Often users with more than one digit in their password will only press the ALT key for the first digit and not those who follow, so for example, if your password "1234", you could have by pressing "Alt 1234"on the device, making the real password to be "1st".

Who is? It sounds familiar to your use?

In order to verify the manner in which you enter your password on the device... do you think that you enter several numbers, but in fact are not?

  • Forgotten issue of Smartphones, password and security blackBerry

    Hello

I have a real dilemma. Not only I seem to enter a wrong password, but I forgot as truly the question of safety.

I wanted to subscribe to BlackBerry messenger (not necessary not previously) and also got stuck trying to use my BlackBerry Playbook.

Is there a solution when I seem to have incorrect information for both?

    Helen

Hello and welcome to the community!

There are several different security credentials in the world of the BB... but what you have said, I guess you're saying your BlackBerry ID. Therefore, start first with these please:

    • KB28685 How to reset the BlackBerry ID password by using the password recovery question
    • KB32111 "The link is no longer valid." occurs when you attempt to reset a BlackBerry ID password
    • KB26361 How to change or reset the BlackBerry ID password
    • KB28111 Impossible to reset the BlackBerry ID password when using a hosted BlackBerry email address
    • KB28232 Reset blackBerry ID e-mail are not delivered to the mailbox associated with

If you have forgotten your ID BB credentials AND access non - BB (for example, Outlook, webmail, etc.) for the e-mail account which is currently configured on your account ID from BB, then these instructions should allow you to recover access to your account ID from BB.

However, if you do not have access to this e-mail account, then your challenge is much larger, and you have a choice to make depending on your situation:

    1. If you have no AppWorld records you need to keep (for example, buy folders for the applications), then simply drop the BB ID and create a new. To do so, however, requires a device WIPE:

      • KB26694 How to change the BlackBerry ID on a BlackBerry smartphone or BlackBerry PlayBook Tablet
    2. But, if you do not have AppWorld documents that you need to keep, then you need human intervention. To receive, you must ring to the top of your mobile service provider and convince them to escalate your case up to BlackBerry. In addition, you must convince BlackBerry you with a solution - which probably will be reset your current BB ID so that you can access it again or you will need to create a new BBID and they will manually move your purchase to the wire records. Note that I don't know if they will be willing to do, but there is no other way I know of to keep your prior AppWorld purchase records.

    Good luck!

  • BlackBerry smartphones remove security settings of 8820 without access to PC

I recently acquired a 8820, but I can't remove the security settings.  I'm currntly do not have access to a PC to connect the device to.  is there a way to delete the settings?  Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

Exactly what 'security settings' you are asking about? Only these words, there are a lot of possibilities...

My guess - if your BB has a policy due to have been associated with a BES environment

    • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

and if you want that political removed, then see this KB:

    • KB14202 How to remove a policy from IT to a BlackBerry smartphone

You will notice that methods 1, 2 and 3 require the admin BES to do something... If you are no longer associated with the BES, then these methods do not work, which leaves... method 4 not requiring connection to a PC.

On the other hand, if I guessed wrong, then please specify exactly what 'Security Settings' you're curious about.

Thank you and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones impossible to disable the password security and encryption

    HelloW, I am currently using,
    BlackBerry 9780
    Smartphone (3G, Wi - Fi)
    6.0 bundle 3049 (v6.0.0.706, platform 6.6.0.246)
    Band 3G 1,2,5,6
    The kernel v3.8.6.5 encryption
    Brand version: 1.0.99.538J

Micro Edition profile: MIDP - 2.1
    Micro Edition JTWI Version: 1.0

Now the problem is that I'm not able to disable password insecurity,
(Homescreen > options > Security > password), there is a small latch (yellow lock symbol). Another problem is that I am also able to disable encryption, there is a tick mark on who. And there is one symbol of a padlock, please help me da information thereon, after every 20 minutes my B.B gets locked and I asks me to put the password of da, I want what it b done with the company.
    Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the community!

From what you describe, there is a COMPUTER on your BB policy which is demanding both encryption and a password for the device-lock. If you are currently on the BES, then STOP NOW and see your BES admins they control it.

If you are not on BES, somehow your BB has a COMPUTING policy... the cause maybe it was once associated with BES, but not properly deleted when the property was transferred to you. If all goes well, there will be other problems that often comes with "2nd hand" situations. In any case, you can check this:

    • KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

Even if does not appear as described, from what you have described, there is probably a COMPUTER policy that is causing this (some may be "hidden"). To remove it, first make sure you have a good backup of your BB... See the link in my sig auto on this post for instructions. Then do this:

    • KB31291 How to reset a BlackBerry smartphone to factory using BlackBerry Desktop Software Settings

Thereafter, your BB will be as new... you need to re - install your applications and restore your data (according to the backup you took my instructions above). BUT - when you restore data, DO NOT make a full restore... rather, only restore these databases you need (e.g., Contacts, calendar, Messages, etc.) and more precisely to avoid those who have nothing to do with the COMPUTER policy, company or similar things... If you restore, you will be right where you started.

Good luck and let us know!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones do a security wipe and now cannot set up my email!

    Hello

I did a security wipe on my Blackberry Bold 9900. I managed to restore everything, however I can't seem to configure my email address (which is a Yahoo address). I get the error message that it has not been possible to connect to the server.

I also raise a problem with my BBM, I am able to send messages, but can't send any to me. This problem also comes after clearing security.

Everything worked fine prior to clearing security.

Hello and welcome to the community!

After an update, I still propose that the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you must seek formal support from your mobile service provider.

I recently bought a smart phone BlackBerry - curve 9360. I have in what concerns the protection of data on my camera and the account connected to it. First of all, I wanted to if a blackberry smartphone is hackable and how it is to viruses and threats.
Second, I want to know the security of the BlackBerry Messenger. I am a very sociable guy and regularly share pins with a lot of people I properly don't know sometimes even online with strangers as its seems much safer to share the pins that the telephone numbers. So my concern was that if no damage could come to my device or stored data top of this sharing of pine, in the form of my device be hacked using my BBPin or my data being exposed to someone or something.

  • 'Security software audit' blackBerry smartphones frequently and can not stop it

I have a Torch 9800 - that I bought second-hand with a full reset. I got all my contacts and details copied by my local orange store.

I'm totally new to Blackberry, and I find it very frustrating with an action of 'Check' security software often happening on my phone. The screen goes black with the Blackberry logo, and a white line slowly updates. Everything that happens I can't action one of the buttons.

I went to the Options > Security (no services) state information > Blackberry button > check security software

It passes through loads of ticks and said passed safety tests. But this action has not prevented frequent checking.

What I am doing wrong? Or what should I do?

Well, it's completely different. If your device is second hand, so now you go ahead with the measures of the seller and the buyer steps in the public knowledge base article:
