See forms like Enterprise Manager sessions

I have exactly the same question as a here:

See forms like Enterprise Manager sessions

But which has been archived so I can't answer. Basically, I want to find the client what IP associated with a given process frmweb on the server of Fusion Middleware running Oracle Forms. Others that audit EM, this can be done on the command line, or find this info in any file? I checked a lot of logs and / proc (I'm on Linux), ran lsof and various other commands. No permit.

Do you know why I can't see my sql statement? Thank you

    Hello

I think you dint turn on query logging...

in your SPR open your user name and of the logging level, select 2 or 1.

before that, you need to activate a thing.

  • Enterprise Manager 12 c: SESSIONS in TOTAL

    Hello

I use Oracle Enterprise Manager 12 c, and I would like to now what is the difference between (Status: Total number of sessions) in the database and when I execute (' SELECT count (*) AS "N SESSIONS" FROM V$ SESSION ").

I can't find the same result. for example:

    Total number of sessions: 89

SELECT count (*) AS "N SESSIONS" FROM V$ SESSION: 75

It occurs due to recursive sessions that are not captured in session$ v.

  • Unable to see Oracle database target in the control of Enterprise Manager grid

I installed Oracle Enterprise Manager Grid control 11g R1 on the Server1 and database Oracle 10g R2 (10.2.0.4) on server 2. During the installation of the grid control on the server 1 has provided details of the server2 database.

Now, after the installation when connected to the control grid target-> databases doesn't display any target database. I ran out of configuration?

FYI - Agent one SGD run on Server1.

    Some explanation please:
Did you install WHO 1 and the OMR database on 2? CMS and SEO or on databases 1 and install another DB on the 2?
In the second case you can install an agent on 2 also. In the first case, the agent on 1 cannot 'see' the DB on the 2, so also install an agent on 2.

  • Enterprise Manager - Oracle Forms 11g (Default.env: options)

I have my OEM (field of forms) running, and I'm in the web configuration screen and by editing the file formsweb.cfg (default.env - section of the applet). My question is, overall, is there a LIST of the options available for certain areas:

For example: if I want to change the default value for "lookAndFeel" of 'Oracle' to something else, what are the options should I? It is the same for all the other areas (e.g., splashScreen, logo, colorScheme). Is there a LOV by field? I don't know what I can put in the game there or less around with, and yes I have search online documentation but can't find anything as well as research on the Forums.

  • How to "Wisely" lock Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control 12 c Release 4 (12.1.0.4)

    Hello guys.

I have a situation where non-technical people "was" and "are" using GRID control to kill session they "think" are originally from the problems of performance based only on the actual color of the moving window of Performance.

When I was told this, I got a feeling very sick in my stomach and said to this person that they are VERY lucky they have not corrupted in the database of PROD AGAIN!

    First Question:

How to recognize these people who kill sessions they run the RISK completely hose PROD and could experienced LOSS OF DATA REAL if something goes wrong.

    Second Question:

Because I'm just sur-monte to this place, should I wait a little before the implementation of new safety standards and to run the risk of harming someone ego?

    Please advise,

    Thank you

    Lady Allora...

The permissions to kill sessions are not provided by Enterprise Manager. EM is just the application they use to do this. They might also kill sessions with SQL * Plus, SQL Developer, or anything else. In EM, they authenticate to the database with an account. It is this database account that offers their privileges to perform this action. The appropriate security controls must be handled in the database.

When I was a new kid in a business, the first thing I did was examine and test backup and restore procedures. The second thing I did was to make my own security audit of the database. I found a lot of articles where I felt that the security of the database was in jeopardy. You have found an item and it is likely that you'll find much more of these elements. I recorded all the elements found in a spreadsheet and ranked in order of importance to fix. I then had a discussion with my directors on my security results. We went through the items one by one and discusses why it is important to clean up this line item. This gave me an action plan which has been approved by the management in the future. In many cases, I had to define corporate policies and create new processes. Those who once could make ActionX in the database still needed to do their job when I revoked their ability to do so. These people would need something new in place to help resolve or manage anything ever ActionX for them.

  • Size of the DB for very basic Enterprise manager Installation

    Platform: Oracle Linux 6.5

    DB version: 11.2.0.4

OEM version: Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud control 12 c Release 5 (12.1.0.5)

We do a test/CEP of OEM. So, I'll install all components below in a single server.

Service of management of Oracle, Oracle Management Agent + Oracle Management repository

The target will be just a DB of RAC 2 nodes.

I would like to know how much space is needed for the WHO database files.

According to the "table 11-3 Oracle Enterprise Manager features storage minimum" in the below URL, I need at least 17 GB.

    http://docs.Oracle.com/CD/E24628_01/install.121/e24089/sizing.htm#EMADV11840

    MGMT_TABLESPACE - 15 GB

    MGMT_ECM_DEPOT_TS - 1 GB

    Tablespace Temp - 1 GB

    -----

    Total 17 GB

But, I only have a 2 node RAC DB monitor. Not sure how many objectives in a 2 RAC node. Less than 30 I guess.

So, I do actually 17 Go?

So, I do actually 17 Go?

You could. I have a small installation of EM, little in terms of targets managed, and I push 18 GB. So this could be an estimate to lose.

Is this really a problem? In today's environments, 17 GB is a small amount of storage.

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager 12 c + Postgresql plugin

    Hello guys,.

We would like to install OEM on several servers with the plugin for monitoring Postgres.
Our question is, is - legal - do we need pay any type of OEM license, or it is a free software that we can install anywhere.

Just for the record, we don't have any DBs Oracle on our servers.

    Thanks for the info!

    See you soon,.

    David

OEM itself is free. It contains a license restricted for DB Oracle store its data (unless you need a database with RAC for highly available environment, which must be licensed).

What is granted are adapters. In particular, one for PostgreSQL seems to be provided by a third party company - see Oracle Enterprise Manager Plugin for PostgreSQL | Medora blue

Whatever it is, check with these guys here impact license to be on the right side.

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12 c Cloud Control is broken after a reboot

    People,

I use Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 12 c Cloud Control version 12.1.0.3.  It was all work until we rebooted the box.

Now, nothing is listening on the port 7801 more (by netstat), but if I put port 7302 instead in the browser's address bar, it'll take me actually to the OEM login page.  Once I'm connected, many things show that there are problems with communication between WHO and the agents.

The shutdown process was not very successful and cleaning, shown below.  There was a lot of java still running process that I had to kill.

    WebTier started successfully

    Oracle Management Server started successfully

Management Server Oracle is in place

This seems like a simple question, because we didn't change anything except adding memory to the box and restart.

Is there anyone experiencing the same problem?  Is there any solution to this?

    Brian

    Brian,

Can you access the console on https://oraaux1:7801 / em now?

And, you are able to start the agent by running $AGENT_HOME/bin/emctl status agent?

Regarding your initial post, is also the repository on the same host? If so, the problem could be due to the repository database was not entirely upwards when WHO launched on the reboot of the host system (gcstartup) startup script.

When the SGC does not work as expected, you can take a look at SGD/monitoring of log files for clues. If necessary, please see:

  • Oracle (R) Enterprise Manager Console Version 9.2.0.1.0 error?

    Hello

I just took someone as a DBA, and I want to clarify something that I saw in Oracle (R) Enterprise Manager Console Version 9.2.0.1.0 Production.

My default temporary Tablespace, TEMP. DBF is currently sized at 6144 MB, used size is MB 6140 99,93% with full auto expand on.

Automatically expand the data file when it is full (Auto expand) K 20480 bytes.

    Maximum size - K 8192 bytes. (-> Issue of State here <-)

I think that most likely my ex-personnel clicked wrongly, "Ko." It should be "M bytes. However, I would like to know how is it possible that console OEM version 9.2.0.1.0 allows the maximum size (8192 K bytes) less than 6144 MB? Is this allowed? If Yes and left clear, what the impact will be on the TEMP tablespace?

Has anyone ever encountered this problem?

    Concerning

    Hi CKPT

Thanks for your explanation, it has been very useful indeed. However, for the second part of my question, what happens if the size of the user was to exceed 250? I am right to say that the size Max of 200 will be disabled and since the auto expand is on, the size of the data file will then have a size of "unlimited"?

You are welcome, the user must not exceed 250 MB. Unable to extend temp Yes you must be mention more value than "bytes" or mention autoextend up to maxsize or fixed size.

What is your opinion on that?

Check autoextend with the largest value of maxsize, please see below exit carefully. After reaching 250 mb, each spread now that he needs another 10 m up to 300 m.

    SQL> alter database tempfile 'C:\ORACLE\APP\ORADATA\CKPT\TEMP_TEST01.TMP' autoextend on next 10m maxsize 300m;

    Database altered.

    SQL> select tablespace_name,file_name,bytes/1024/1024,user_bytes/1024/1024,maxbytes/1024/1024,autoextensible from dba_temp_files where tablespace_name='TEMP_TEST';

    TABLESPACE_NAME FILE_NAME BYTES/1024/1024 USER_BYTES/1024/1024 MAXBYTES/1024/1024 AUT
    ------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ --------------- -------------------- ------------------ ---
    TEMP_TEST C:\ORACLE\APP\ORADATA\CKPT\TEMP_TEST01.TMP "250 249 300 YES"

    SQL>

    Hope this clears.

  • Oracle 10g Enterprise Manager DB control vs Console Enterprise Manager

We have a consultant to install Oracle 10 g on Windows platform. Somehow, I see that Enterprise Manager Console installed, and I can use this console to access database. I don't see installed Enterprise Manager Database Control. What is the difference between the Console and DB control? Please notify.

    Thank you

    S.

I see that the interfaces are completely different. the console is more like Oracle 9i. I know that the DB control is a web tool, just for Oracle 10 g. My question is in terms of admin, what is the best? Why Oracle has a different tool to manage the database?

The Oracle Enterprise Manager Console is a stand-alone Java client, not a 3-tier as the Console of DB EM product.

The stand-alone Java client has been deprecated in gR 10, 1. Probably because not all features were brought to the DB Console at 3 levels (for example: the Spatial index and the management of the workspace management), Oracle decided to let us use the Java Console as an additional installation on the customer/partner drive. However, it is no longer available to go ahead in 11g.

If you look carefully at the "Console", you won't be that some areas are more functional and it covers all the capabilities of 10g, for example in partitioning and indexing.
