Seeing unknown to blackBerry Smartphones
I have an unkonwn indicator on my phone, that I can't seem to get rid of. It's at the top of the screen and it is a yellow circle with lines of the grid on it, similar to the browser icon. It kills me, how can I get rid of him?

Seeing bright red blackBerry Smartphones BB 9000 flashes only 10 minutes?
After receiving a new email (for example) the red light flashes. The flashing lasts about 10 minutes and then stops. I want to Flash until I have access to the mailbox, be it in 5 minutes, 25 minutes or 2 hours. I had several BB models previously and all flashed until the mailbox is accessible regardless of the time. Anyone know if this is normal in the 9000?
If so it would be really embarrassing because after not using the phone say during lunch for an hour, the display is powered down and dark, need to wake up, a key is required to bring up the application for a passsword, the password must be entered and submitted... and once accepted I so lucky to see the right mailbox icon to determine if I have received messages... all lost effort so now new messages. Not good.
I hope someone can point me towards a framework to solve this problem, but neither me nor ATT could find a.
Thank you.
Hi and welcome to the forums! Merry Christmas!
It is a design 'done' the phone, because I can't really call it a feature!
Try the link below for the BB alerts, a free trail and costs $13,00.
If you have not used Handango, they are a reputable store.

Unknown to blackBerry Smartphones, even if appellant in the address book
8707g v 4.2.1.105. I tried to download the latest firmware but page kept crashing.
I read on a post I would have the country and area code before the phone number and then ALI will appear when they ring me. Tried and always calling unknown appears without a phone number.
I changed all the settings to show, but of course miss me one.
I would really appreciate help because I don't have no need to know wgho sounds me.
In this case, take your phone your carrier for assistance. They may just a setting on their control system, but unfortunately, this isn't something you can do yourself. At the very least, you should call your operator.

Unknown symbols blackBerry smartphones
reading to the top of the previous posts, there seems to be a certain apearing of unknown symbols under the clock on the 9800
might be an idea if they are all displayed here, as it will help future users.
first one I had was a white smile = loaded Hangman game
my other looks today like the brouser symbol but without the arrow on the outside edge. I downloaded telmap satnav but ive now deleted and restarted but the symbol is still there.
any ideas on this one. Thank you
Edit: after the search initially seemed screenshot was an update, but after updating the software of the symbel is still there.so is not that.
then I noticed the symbol looks like the symbol of Gmail, but I did not email in there.tappting symbol appear 3 callender next tests but these are weekly events that have been put in place in December and the symbol appeared only today.
It's a push browser icon. One of your applications or e-mail programs pushes a message to your phone. It can be a true guy sometimes trying to find where is the message, but this is what represents your symbol.

Judging by the comments in AppWorld, it looks like last update of the Facebook #RIM for #Blackberry broken upload photo. After reading a few threads here, I tried pulling the battery, delete - reinstall the app, take smaller pictures, removing information geo-tagging and checking permissions. I always get an unknown error 2010.
I can download to send an email and Twitter without any problem.
I hope this gets fixed soon. It seems that there are a lot of people out there with this problem.
Nothing here that could help you?

BlackBerry Smartphones BB Desktop software will see Torch 9800
I installed BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.1 (twice from different sources) on my Windows 10 PC.
1. after starting, I always get the request to connect the BlackBerry smartphone. I did with a USB cable, the application does not disappear.
The Blackberry is recognized, Windows Explorer opens and displays the files on drive F:\
2 blackBerry Desktop Software is worrisome to running applications. 2013 Outlook gets an error after certain actions (I close it), same Excel application is destroyed.
3. I use the Windows Firewall and Avast Antivir. If I turn it off, there is no difference.
4. There are the 'BlackBerry Device Manager' three times running background processes.
Are the only things I want to do: get my list of Outlook contacts, possibly calendar or software updates.
Y at - it an alternate option to load the list of contacts to my BlackBerry Torch?
Thank you for your help
MOD EDIT: Subject changed to reflect a new topic
An Assistant came and did all right!
Everything works very well, I don't know why and I don't really have the time to research.
If it was a human sorcerer thank him/herself.

Device of blackBerry Smartphones, sending text messages invisible to the unknown mobile number
Hi, just bought a unlocked 9360, having a strange, new problem in Blackberry, so be, permissions or something, but the device sends texts to a number of mobile which is not in my repertoire, recent calls or texts. My allocation of text on O2 came down, I changed to a Giffgaff sim and who goes down also.
I know that the phone number as Giffgaff sent me a list of numbers, the texts were out to and they are all the same one.
Sorry to be a beginner, if it's as simple as the app permissions.
Amanda
Let's be clear. There are SMS messages are automatically sent from the device and you're not sending them? If this is the case, then now, follow these steps:
Turn off the mobile network radio. Perform a full backup. Do a security wipe. When you do the wipe of security, check the box to delete applications.
See http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB14058 about security wipe.
After clearing security, do a selective restore of just your personal data. Do not restore settings or application data. But, if you can start from scratch and go do a restore, do.
Go ahead: set a device password and lock your device when you have eyes on her. Don't lend your device. Don't let anyone use it. There is a setting in the options to require the device password in order to install an application. I recommend that you enable that. Finally, be careful what apps install.
My best guess is that there is a malicious application on the device. Maybe it was when you bought it, maybe someone put there after you acquired it, or perhaps you have inadvertently installed. Cannot be sure. But obviously this is not something you want, at the very least, and you don't know what it is to delete. This is my reason for the security wipe.

The screen on my 9650 comes to die. I'm not sure I'll get fixed, I can just get a new phone (not a BBerry this time). But if I don't get the screen replaced then how to display the contents of my PWK saved on my computer? Can someone here help me understand this?
Hi miamispy,
Try these steps, could help in your case...
Download a Simulatr for Bold 9650 and installed the software. You can find the Simulator to BlackBerry Smartphone simulators - URL
http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/developers/resources/simulators.jsp
Once the program is installed, launch the program, which shows a picture of the phone.
now to start my software of management of office and back in the Smartphone Simulator
In the menu, select 'USB cable connected' which simulates the connection of the smartphone.
Once u this, office management software invites you to create parameters for the then new phone.
Once u put in place this new virtual phone, restore your backup from the virtual desktop management software to the new.
u could then use the mouse to go to the password manager and open the program. It will encourage u password and all the data is displayed.Good luck...

BlackBerry Smartphones built in storage media errors, not now restart...
During the last two weeks, I received several cases where I received
the following error message: "built in storage not accessible due to a detected errors. You want to repair? »
I said yes and he fixed the problem. Yesterday, I sent a BBM message and the phone reset... on suddenly it reboot only gets 3/4 of the way through the startup process (stops under the 1 'r' in the Blackberry logo).I tried a multitude of things I've seen on many forums, including let it stand all night with the battery, try to start in safe mode (which I never could get it to do). This morning, it does the same thing. I found a post that suggested to reformat the internal memory, which I should have done when I had questions.
Is it possible to get this reformatted internal memory if the phone does not start? Any suggestions would be helpful. I will ask a new phone of my business, but know that I won't get it until tomorrow... so I'm willing to try anything to make it work again (today).
P.S. Yes, I'm one of those guys who will lead to 10 miles around traffic stopped, just to keep moving! ;-)
Hi chmberry
That's what I set my phone freeze (9860). By JSanders.
(1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
(2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm
(3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
(4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
(5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.
BlackBerry Device Operating System downloads: http://www.blackberryforums.com/blackberry-device-specific/
Simply select the model of the device in the list and download the latest version. Install this download and follow the steps above again and you should be on the right track.*****************
IF the above does not work or help, you need to use JL_Cmder to wipe the device and then load the operating system on the device. Follow the instructions here:Download JL_Cmder http://www.blackberryforums.com/rim-software/18789-jl_cmder.html
or download BBSAK http://bbsak.org/download.phpIf JL_Cmder does not work, you can try this:

and this: KB20371 http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB20371Additional information:

Security BB9900 husbands suffered for me to use, but I'm unable to set up the e-mail.
The only option is to set up the email through the activation of the company.
I have a data plan from my provider Blckberry
I tried to register it on my carriers BIS activation Web site but got the message that it cannot be done through my camera
Configuration of e-mail icon only gives the ability to configure one enable a business account
Have tried blackberry.com/integrate but I get the message "unknown error, please try again" after selecting "launch email configuration".
Any ideas?
Hello and welcome to the community!
With a strong carrier network (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):
1) register HRT
- KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
- Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application
2) books of forwarding Service
- KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
- Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.
3) restart
- With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
- See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.
I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then you should contact your mobile provider for formal support.
Good luck!
