Sensitive touchpad on Equium L100

I have a satellite L100-186 sometimes only have to breathe heavy and the touchpad worked, I heard it is possible to adjust, but don't know how?

I can only speculate how to adjust the touchpad because this laptop is not known to me, but in my opinion, the touchpad settings are very similar on different laptops series
Check Control Panel-> mouse-> tab device settings-> settings->-> sensitivity sensitivity to touch.

happy? ;)

  • Equium L100 - problems of product recovery

    Hello

Im having serious problems trying to run a recovery of product on my laptop Equium L100.

I restarted the laptop using the recovery disk of the supplied product as described in the user manual and after the re-installation of the drivers of the laptop turns off automatically. I presume it was part of the recovery procedure, and so turned the laptop, to find that, after the Welcome screen, the monitor shows a black screen, hence there is no progress.

I don't know what I can do from this point. I assumed that all the data to the origin of the laptop was dropped, but the laptop does not restart properly and stays on the black screen. Any help that anyone can provide me to complete the process of reformatting would be much appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Hello James

There's not a trick to get it working again. Either it works or not.
Please try to make the installation of recovery once more. Before that, set the BIOS to default settings and launch the installation of recovery.

When the installation is complete, remove the optical drive installation disc and restart your laptop to see if the same thing will happen again.

You are right. I found that two files XP on Toshiba's European site. BIOS and XP WLan driver.
I imagine that several XP drivers are not available (released) for this satellite series.

But wait the guy. Maybe there is a light at the end of the tunnel
Satellite L100 series is very similar to the Equium L100 series.

  • Equium L100 - 186 PSLA5E - where to find the drivers

Someone has drivers for this machine that Toshiba are not smart enough to write drivers for a machine, they have, on their Web site.

    Please someone - help.

You're probably not going to be cleaver enough to find the drivers?

Before posting something like this, be sure that you are right!

  • Must disable Touchpad tapping Equium A60-173

OK, so my father, I bought a laptop a few years and now it has forwarded to me. I am wanting to turn off tapping it on the button, but I can't find an option to do so.
I installed a new copy of Windows XP Pro, so there may be some missing drivers that come on the recovery CD.
I tried to find all the drivers, but I can't find my notebook anywhere. I ran the Toshiba program that is supposed to detect what laptop you have, but it came with nothing when I ran it and I also searched in the drivers on the Toshiba site section, but my laptop does not even appear in the choice of laptops.

It is a Toshiba Equium and on the back, he said Equium A60-173 and the model number is PSA67E-00700C8J.

So, if someone can tell me please how to disable the tapping on the touch pad that would be great. I can't disable the touchpad entirely because of course I want to control the mouse pointer.

I saw a post that said to press Fn and F9, but has nothing, probably because I don't have the correct drivers installed.

    Any help would be great.

    Hey Buddy,

The touchpad tapping function can be disabled in the options of the touchpad driver. FN + F9 key combination to disable the touchpad together so it s another function.

The tapping function can be disabled if the touchpad drivers are installed. If you install Windows on a normal disc from Microsoft no drivers are installed and everything you need to install yourself. If you are using the Toshiba recovery that all disk drivers and tools are installed automatically because it contains a picture of the factory settings. Recovery disk is more comfortable.

All the drivers and tools you need now can be downloaded here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers
    * Archive * > Equium > Equium A60 > PSA67E

As you can see you only need to search the Archives to find the drivers ;)

    Hello.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

All you can do is to check all these settings, in particular to change the sensitivity level in the hope that this behavior will stop.
Otherwise I do not see other was about visit Toshiba service.

Is solution of using external mouse for you? I mean you can completely disable touchpad with FN + F9 and use an external mouse.

    Hello

I would be really grateful if anyone out there has a system for a Toshiba Satellite L100 186 recovery disk. Mine is lost and I'm trying to return the laptop back to factory settings.

    Hi Adam,.

Unfortunately I think that it of not possible to order a recovery for her online disk. I think that your only chance is in touch with an authorized service provider. Maybe they have such a disk or can make a copy. Just ask for it! ;)

  • Equium L100 186: how to remove & update modules memory

I bought 2 x 1 GB memory modules for my satellite L100-186 and on removal of the cover to find that it
difficult to access and delete existing ones. I'd be able to try this or do
    professionally?<>

    Hello

Usually, the update of modules memory is not very difficult but a little trickier.
A common user should be able to upgrade memory but please don t use force but be always gently and attention!

In the manual, you should find a description detailed of how to remove and how to insert the modules.
    Check it ;)

But note; If you have no experience and don't know how to do this contact a technician for help. In this case, you are always on the right side

  • Equium L100-186 - memory expansion Question

    Hi all

I had my L100-186 satellite for over a year and have decided to upgrade the memory as the current 256 MB is quite poor.

I bought 2x1GB sticks and put them with no problem. Unfortunately it is not now start up. I returned two sticks, assuming that 1 was defective, but having received new sticks with the same problem, I guess that's not.

I tried the two stick in themselves and they work. They both work in each of the clips as well.

Someone has encountered this problem before, or someone has a solution to this problem?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Jon

Hmm. very strange if you use right and same modules, then the two should work without any problems.
The laptop is able to manage 2 GB (2 x 1024 MB) max modules.

What you could do is to test the two memory locations separately. There is a location may be defective?
    What do you think?

However, I found some information on the modules compatible and recommended, and it seems that the DDR2-533 1 GB (PA3411U-2M1G) module should work!
    You need exactly a DDR2 533 MHz (PC2-4200) 200 - PIN SODIMM modules

    Check it!

  • Equium L100: error memory after the installation of 2 modules

I changed the default RAM in a L100 to 5300 2 x 512 MB sticks. When I install 2 sticks of memory vivid I get memory errors. I have run 2 different controls of RAM (Win diag and memtest86 and these problems).

Now, when I use only one of the sticks, I don't get problems with memory and RAM checks are clear at all. This is the case for the 2 sticks of RAM.

Also, if I use the original with either 512 MB sticks 256 MB stick, I don't get the error of RAM.

I could with some suggestions here, please. In fact, I'm pretty sure that the RAM bars are OK?

    Any help would be appreciated
    see you soon
    brand

    Hello

It s very strange. You bought 2 memory modules similar to 100%?
It seems that these two modules are not compatible together.
This seems very strange but it is possible.

I thought the second ram slot could be corrupted, but you post the original 256 MB and 512 MB additional module worked correctly. So, it seems that the second location is ok.

I put t know which modules you use, but I found these compatible parts:
    DDR2-533 256 MB (PA3389U - 2M 25)
    512 MB DDR2-533 PA3412U - 2 M (51)
    1 GB OF DDR2-533 (PA3411U-2M1G)

It seems that the drivers for your unit are not available at the moment. Maybe it will be available in the coming weeks. In any case, when the appliance is pre-installed with recovery media (or have factory settings), you can create own Tools & Utilities CD. This CD, you can use forr all other facilities.

I presume you didn't create it. Am I wrong?
