Separate a shared Apple ID

My wife and I have always shared an Apple ID. I'm trying to implement a new identifier Apple for my wife, but APPLE say my wife's e-mail address is not available as a identifier Apple? Is this because its already related to the shared Apple ID?

That is right. If the e-mail address is the identifier Apple or recovery email address for the account, it is not to create an Apple ID.

my apple tv repeat turn on home sharing photos stream from my mac, but home sharing is turned on, connected to my apple ID?

Try these steps, check to see if things work after each step if necessary, before you try the next.

    1. Restart the Apple TV (settings > system > restart).
    2. Restart the Apple TV by removing ALL cables for 30 seconds.
    3. Restart your router. (Also try to remove the power cord for at least 30 seconds)

  • How can I selectively sharing apple?

I share an Apple ID with my boyfriend and my sister. I like to have collective playlists on Apple music with my boyfriend that we can add and subtract to, but to do that I have to share. The only problem with that is that when I turn on sharing, I get all my sisters music too. It takes a lot of storage on my phone, and I never even listen to his music. I wish I could share with my boyfriend and not my sister, but still allow my sister to be part of the 'family' and use the Apple music subscription. Any thoughts?

    Welcome to the Apple community.

Never a good idea to share an Apple ID, plan to use the family shares instead, that way you can just share the music you want.

  • Between the 2 separate companies sharing router

I'm helping someone to share a router between the 2 separate companies.  They have a linksys E2500 and 2 companies (their own and the neighbouring company) the two connection, either wired or wireless, to the same router.

They were not aware that this meant guys next had access to computers in their network / and now are asking if there is a way to separate the 2.  So to share the Internet, but limit each group to only have access to their own computer.

Now, I knew that the current configuration was wrong, but would need advice on what needs to be done at this stage to ensure that each group.  You can create a group for each and be fixed?

    Thank you.

    Low-cost solutions:

    1)

    • If the ISP has provided a modem which has capabililes built routing in and multiple LAN ports. Then use the device as the main router ISP and if it has wireless disable.
    • Install the E2500 in one place and connect its WAN port to the device of the ISP.
    • Install another router cheap wireless in the other location linking its WAN port to the device of the ISP.
    • Make sure all firewalls are enabled.

    2)

    • Buy two inexpensive routers.
    • Keep your E2500 is the main router and disable it is wireless.
    • Install inexpensive routers at each location linking their WAN for the E2500 ports.
    • Make sure all firewalls are enabled.

The reason that you can not do with the E2500 without additional hardware, it is that it's wireless cannot be configured for the RLV or with insulation wireless. Basically any device connected to the wireless access to any other device wireless and theres no way to change this behavior, I know.

Someone at - it any other ideas?

AirPlay works perfectly, it's just the sharing House that doesn't.

    Thanks in advance

For home sharing work, ATV and iTunes must be on the same Apple ID This does affect airtime. Check the ID on your iTunes. You can find information here for help with home - sharing Apple support. Moreover, the firewall of the router, which focuses on internet traffic has nothing to do with it. The Windows Firewall must open certain ports to allow communication between different machines.

  • HOW DO I STOP SHARED DOWNLOADS?

So, my brother bought a song on his device and it automatically comes to my phone! How can I stop this?

    Hey Coolio97!

From what you say, a song by your brother bought is now on your iPhone.  I definitely only want songs on my own I want.  We can check the settings on the iPhone.

Normally this happens if you and he share the same Apple ID.  I would check the settings > iTunes and App Store on your iPhone (even for his camera so it's an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, under account if it's iTunes on a computer).  Apple recommends separate Apple ID accounts to keep things straight, but if you want or need to share the same one, you can disable automatic downloads for music, Apps, books & books audio and updates.  In this way, whenever one of you buy something new, it does not appear automatically.

If you go with separate Apple ID, you can always share purchases with sharing the same computer to sync to iTunes or using the sharing family that will give you access to each and other purchases.

  • Family sharing - need help to accept sharing family invite

    Hello

    I'm trying to:

    1. establish the family shares with three children (minors).

    2. take the music and previously purchased content and add it to the family sharing

I created a separate child account, but now, I can't seem to find a way to accept the invitation of sharing of the family on the previous Apple ID (related to the nano to my son).

    Any help?

    Thank you very much!

iPods (which are not on the iPod touch) are not related to an Apple ID (they may be associated with an iTunes library).  If the iPod nano is probably not involved in your question.  In addition, there is no separate steps to add content previously purchased the family shares.

  • Change the name of the device Apple Watch?

    The Apple community,

    Hi Jose

Your best solution is to use separate Apple ID, coupled with the sharing of the family, with each person's iPhone (and other devices) connected to their own Apple ID. Some features probably otherwise not work as expected.

Create a new ID Apple for yourself or your wife:

    https://www.Apple.com/support/appleid/create-signin/

To continue to share its purchases (including purchases beyond), set up sharing of family:

Once the new Apple ID has been created and is used on their iPhone, then they should associate their shows to their iPhone again (unless, of course, a new watch), this time in the title of their new Apple ID:

    Hi Josie1374,

I understand that you have a few questions about the sharing of family in Apple music. I have some information for you which should be able to help answer these questions. First of all, you should know that each family member in the family of the Apple music-sharing plan will be themselves, individual account, Apple's music:
