separate user and HP Pavilion Sleekbook Windows 8 account passwords

The Black Friday 2013, I bought a HP Pavilion Sleekbook running Windows 8 and has a tactile ability.  After that I loaded an update to 8.1, my computer at the next startup said it was up to the previous version of Windows and tried to make repairs. The operation failed with my refresh attempt.  I had to reset that completely erased my files.  On reboot, the requested lock screen my Microsoft email account and the password, he has not before.  Not knowing not if it would ruin, with a different password, I used the real one not my original password computer.  Now, I have to use my Microsoft account password to unlock my computer.  I want to change my lock screen password change my password of the Microsoft account.  Would defeat the purpose of changing the password.  Any help would be greatly appreciated, TMS

Hello Kiralinde

I hope that you do not give because your last post made me know what you wanted. The problem is not that you must change your password to what we must do is to change your profile to use a Microsoft Account to a local account. Follow the steps I am outlining below and you should fix:

Step 1. The Control Panel (Display icon), click/click on the user accounts icon, click on / tap open the link Edit my account in the settings of your laptop .

2. open the step PC settings, click/click on users on the left, click/tap on the shift to a local account on the right side.

  • Log on to Windows XP Professional password help

I got a desktop computer and it has 4 accounts log and after contacting the owner before me they know not the log on password or user name, all I get is blue screen and the log on the Windows, even in safe mode, I still get the log on window who want the password and user name I do not have that, someone can help me to go beyond that, I don't have a boot disk, OS is windows xp professional, I looked for help on the web but all the things I've found tells me to click on the start menu, I can't get there, I can not for anything but the blue screen and the log on window wanting the password and user name , Oh, I can get a use F2, F8 and F12

Try to connect using the built-in Administrator account. You don't need to do it in safe mode (although you can if you wish). If your normal login screen is a display of the user symbol and hit ctrl-alt-del twice to get to login to text entry. Type administrator as the user name and try a blank password.

In addition, this forum has a policy that requires us to refuse assistance with password "cracking".

That said, the last resort of reinstalling the operating system is something I would recommend to your situation. Who knows what kind of environment you might encounter if you can open a session? Software of Dodgy or pirated, malware, viruses etc. In addition, your hard drive may be full of useless data, including the possibility of illegal images. Must I say more? I see you say that you have no boot disk (I take it's Windows installation CD), but a repair shop may be able to do the replacement for you. Get a recommendation for a repair shop if you can.

It is also possible that he has built in installation of recovery/re-uninstall. To learn more about this opportunity, we will need the brand and model of your PC.

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post about the duty to restore the HP Recovery Manager and wanted to help.

Here is the download link for the HP Recovery Manager: Latest HP Recover Manager download

But facility that will not do you much good if you went to Win8.1, because the recovery files were pre-installed on your computer, not Win8.1, and the Windows Update did not update these files.

So, if you do a recovery, and it works (which he could not, now that you have upgraded), it will only restore you back to Win8, not Win8.1.

And, there is nowhere you can download the files needed for the recovery of the Win8.1.

    Good luck

  • HP Pavilion Sleekbook b030el and Windows 7

    Product: HP Pavilion Sleekbook b030el

A friend of mine just bought a HP Pavilion Sleekbook b030el
Unfortunately, HP officially supports only Windows 8 for this computer.

I think that Windows 8 is - by far - the worst operating system Microsoft ever released. Worse than Vista. Worse than Millennium Edition, too. Without a doubt. It is completely unusable and useless on something else that a Tablet, and existing operating systems for tablets are by far better than Windows 8 on this kind of devices.

Is there a quick way to know if Pavillion Sleekbook 15 - b030el material is fully supported by Windows 7?
    Thank you very much.

    You are the very welcome.

There should be a program (app) in the menu of apps everything to make a recovery of the DVD set.

I strongly recommend doing this before doing anything else.

I only know that if you install W7 on the C:\ partition, the Recovery Manager will not work.

I don't know what will happen if you install it anywhere else.

    I have no experience there.

I remove each partition on my PC and install the OS on one big partition.

I use recovery disks or partitions. I install a windows disk with an OEM or retail.

With Windows 8, it must be very careful, because there is no product key and used the recovery disc or partition, or they will have to buy a new operating system.

The product key is now integrated into the BIOS, which makes Windows obsolete COA stickers.

  • The PC HP Pavilion Sleekbook 15: Blurred and static Audio after update of Windows 10

I was using Windows 10 quite a few months now with no problems. My sound has been clear until this morning when my computer automatically updated itself. After the update, I noticed that my sound (which worked perfectly fine before the update) was blurred and subdued, with a noise static when the music I listened to hit a higher mark. This had not happened before. Not until I've updated. So far, I checked to see if I need to update something new for my audio device in Device Manager, but I was told that everything is up to date.

Previously, a few years ago I had a similar problem when updating from Windows 8, but rather my audio is completely out. Waiting to see if something like that happen again. I'm not sure what to do on my audio now, but I'm afraid to uninstall my sound card where I can bring him back despite says he's coming back. In addition, I don't know what to do for my specific product. I've read that many others have had similar problems, so if someone could help me I would be very grateful.

    Thank you in advance.

  • Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm: Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm processor and upgraded graphics card.

    Hello

I should probably start by listing the specs of the laptop. So here it is:

    Model: Pavilion Sleekbook 15-b003sm

    Series: [personal information]

    Product: C6T29EA #BED

Processor: Intel Core i5-3317U (1.7 GHz)

    Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics card: GeForce GT 630 m 2 GB memory

    OS: Windows 7 x 64

So the question, well not really a problem, but recently I have noticed that my laptop has been strugling to run the latest games coming out to the point where some games even on setting him down still have very low FPS.

Then I thought to replace my CPU and graphics card because these two seem to be the issue.

Now, I got the user guide but it was provided on a CD while my laptop is not a CD ROM  So, I have been unable to determine what kind of a slot processor use my laptop.

So I was wondering if anyone of you could help me determine if I can replace the processor and the graphics card on my laptop and if I can provide some suggestions to what I should look at, since I read that chaning a CPU on a laptop is sticky bussines.

    Thank you in advance.

Also if there is more information needed please tell me so that I can add.

Please have look at the below information shown for the processor upgrade

  • HP Pavilion Sleekbook PC 14: Recovery of Windows 8: PC in a reboot cycle?

Laptop model: HP Pavilion Sleekbook PC 14
    Product number: C7D58PA #AKL
    The system board ID: 18F9
    BIOS version: F 18
    Editor BIOS: Insyde

    64-bit Windows 8 (I think, unless he updated to 8.1 I don't know)

No drive CD or DVD (Ultrabook).

It is a laptop from a friend. At one point, he pointed out that it shows just a black screen with the mouse cursor after the start it (after loading Windows 8). He has no idea of what happened before that, I read a lot of online reports of people having problems after such a broken Microsoft updates for Windows 8 or 8.1.

Anyway, it goes well with the idea of "clean install", nothing needs to be backed up. Recovery media (USB key) was created at the time. I start the laptop with the recovery media and get to HP Recovery Manager. I select 'Factory Reset' which is supposed to erase the whole hard drive and restore the initial factory condition.

After some time (30-60 minutes, not sure), it has completed preparations, which I assume were re - create the recovery on the hard drive partition, etc. It is said the PC will start itself several times during the recovery process, and I should not meddle. Ok then.

After I let it continue, Notepad starts, HP logo and the circle of rotation. After a while, I see a glimpse of what appears to be an empty office of Windows and a window that says something like:

    HP laptop
    < date > < time > (e.g. 14/08/2015 11:15)
    Please wait...

(there is a button in there I think)

Which is available for a fraction of a second, but then the laptop restarts automatically just and this very fact time and time again, showing this dialog screen each time after you start HP logo. I waited about 8 hours, and it continued just do so that even, it seems that the recovery process is interrupted every time with a reboot. If this restart is due to a system error, where I can see the journal, IE. What is the error?

So, what to do next? I have reset defaults in case where (though I think that nothing has ever changed in any case) BIOS, no effect. I have not tried to update the BIOS, but even if I find a new/UEFI BIOS for this laptop, I would try rather than as a last resort, or after that I have the PC back on.

I also tried the other recovery options, lighter, ('System Recovery' and 'Reduced Image recovery') prior to "Factory Reset", but they have not yet further, I think.

In addition, I ran a full system check in the start menu (RAM and hard drive), everything was reported as fine.

Yet one thing that may or may not serious, in case there is a problem of Windows 8: since the PC HP is bought in Thailand, it has a cheaper, 'reduced' Windows 8 version. It's a play full version, but apparently a kind of 'reduced' version that Microsoft sells cheaper on some countries, such as the Thailand. I'm not entirely sure what the restrictions are, at least you can not change the language of Windows system after the initial selection of IIRC (when Windows 8 was executed first to complete installation preloaded, English was chosen as the language of the system).

I mention this only because I'm not sure if it causes certain restrictions on workarounds, such as the use of some other Windows 8/8.1 recovery media created on another PC or downloaded an ISO from Microsoft, or somesuch. I have already learned the hard way that not all editions of Windows seem to be created equal with regard to the options of recovery, being able to launch the etc SafeMode (at least this was the case with my Windows 7, a lot of instructions online for just would not work on it because they are expecting boot options that simply weren't there).

USB media recovery that I use is created initially, according to HP.

    Problem solved. Steps to follow:

    1. forget about HP recovery. Of course it does not work for me little matter how I pray, I went to come and clean up the entire hard drive of all partitions (I presume that the recovery partition went too).

    2. create the installation media Windows 8.1 with Microsoft http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media media creation tool

I created the USB media on a USB flash drive of 8 GB on another PC. It will work and install correctly on Windows 8 system, no need to install first 8.0 and then he move to 8.1.

3 boot from the installation media, install (I chose the option to not save or move anything old windows, after all he was not supposed to be any previous Windows installed) and a great success. I guess you have to download and install drivers from HP separately, perhaps,

In fact, I am now upgrading to Win10.

  • Management of user accounts and Parental control in Windows 8

    Hello

I'll post a thread on how to manage the user accounts and Parental control in Windows 8.

A user account allows you to connect to Windows 8. By default, your computer already has a user account that you have been
needed to create when you configure Windows 8. If you want to share your computer, you can create a separate for each Member of your household or office user account. You can also choose to associate any user account with a Microsoft account. Signature with a Microsoft account will bring all your SkyDrive files, contacts and more in the start screen. You can even connect to another computer that has Windows 8 and all your important files will be there.

Here is a video on how to manage the user accounts and Parental control in Windows 8.

Also, here is a document showing you how to manager Our user on Windows 8.

If you have any questions let me know.
