Serial number does not match any product calling?

Hi all I bought Acrobat Pro xi yesterday but I'm having issues with the upgrade of my serial number. I have not used the program as it has not finished installing yet. I tried to call the hotline in Australia but 2 hours on hold waiting is enough for me.

If anyone has any advice it would be greatly appreciated. long live Ryan

You purchased an upgrade. When you do this you tell Adobe what previous version of Acrobat, you have, for example Acrobat X Pro. It comes from your 'product calling it '.

    Your CS6 is a license upgrade.  When she asks eligible version waiting for you identify the previous version that you upgraded as proof that you are eligible to use the upgrade.

    The message means that you have a license to upgrade. You just need to prove that you qualify by entering the serial number of the license of Acrobat 9 or X you have - which is the product of "qualified". It does not ask to enter the license key Acrobat XI once again, you've already done that.

    Problem has been resolved by support cat.

    A code produced by the installation program challenge was given to a technician who then returned another code which allowed for the installation.

    The technician said:

    Because your CS3 serial number is Volume License serial number, that is the reason why you are not able to use it. So, on an exceptional basis, we can do this challenge code method. Volume license is the license key that can be used by several people, and at the office, school, etc. But your CS6 is the commercial version, which can be used by a single user.

    The process took about 5 minutes once the conversation has been started.

    Updates are not related to series numbers, so you must have done something compared to try to use an upgrade rather than an update.  Adobe not revise older versions of their software to adapt to the latest hardware/devices.  They create/sell new versions of their software for it.  If you subscribe to the Cloud at some point you shouldn't have a problem with the software becomes obsolete.

    I understand John.  It was a rare event as usually the previous version serial number should be accepted.  That's why I recommend you to contact directly our support team in case of series available in respect of the account numbers cannot be used successfully.

    By contacting our support team directly at the Customer Contact then the exact serial number CS5 can be watched and specific corrective measures can be taken.  For example, if the serial number of the Creative Suite 5 is for a volume license then is refused by a retail installer even if there may be a way to upgrade valid.

    I recognize the problem you describe. Simply, you install an upgrade. The product "calling" it asks for is the OLDER version of Acrobat that gives you right to the upgrade. You must now enter your serial number for Acrobat X or 9, to prove eligibility.
