  I downloaded the demo for 30 days of LightRoom, LightRoom Mobile and creative Cloud, then decided to buy 5 outright from LightRoom on Amazon (not wanting a monthly subscription services that didn't need).

  I got a serial number of the Amazon, downloaded and installed my purchase and tried to enter the serial number. I got a message on the screen indicating that the serial number is not valid.

  How can I solve this problem and enable what I paid?

  BTW, why I have to ask a forum rather than advice from Adobe, who probably have my money?

  Hey, it works - I am answering my own question!

  I used CleanMyMac to remove all traces of Adobe (LightRoom creative cloud and all applications and files, etc), then redownloaded and installed my purchase.

  I wonder if anyone can help.  I spoke with tech support and they are not "trained" to answer this question and said that I have to post on the forums.  I'm trying to enter my serial key for Adobe CS4 software installed on a virtual machine running on a new macbook pro.  I am running windows 7.  It install correctly and works as it should in the mode of trial, but he will not accept the serial number.  I get the red next to the serial number 'X' when I get it, he did the same thing when we tried other series numbers we have.  I hope that this is a solution for this so I can use my software.  Customer support has tried to delete the cache.db file and a few other things.  Any suggestion or help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks in advance!

  in case the problem... at least as much as we could understand, anyone trying to solve this problem, has been linked to the image that we have created from our DVD media.  Under the leadership of a certain support advanced Adobe, we uninstalled the software from the computer and then downloaded the software with the help of Adobe.  By using the downloaded software, we were able to enter the serial key and install and use the software as intended.  Hope this helps someone else.  Thanks to the Adobe support!

  I downloaded photoshop cs6 after having paid for it an update to photoshop cs3. During installation, it asked for the serial number for cs4 or cs5 but not cs3. She would not accept the serial number of my cs3. A look on the other forums suggests that the only way round it is hack in as if I was an illegal download. When I installed on this computer, the help Desk has taken over my computer and had a lot of trouble for the substitution of the problem. Now I have a new computer and am having the same problem in trasferring cs6 on the new computer. Unfortunately, I disabled cs6 on this computer and now can't use it at all.
