Series Asia Tecra A8 - 1114E hang without no reason & protection of HARD drive

Hello

I own Tecra A8-1114E, which I bought in Asia give me a lot of funny problem recently.

First of all, its just hang without any reason and the Dungeon of the HARD disk on the reference protection are shock on my laptop but its nothing happen even a shock.

I leave my laptop on my desk and its also happens. Can someone tell me what is the problem for my laptop?
Once 1 turn off the HDD, its become ok protection.

Hello

The history seems a bit strange and mysterious.

First of all it s very strange that the laptop crashes without reason and that the protection of HARD drive tool reports errors.

According to these two questions, I assume that your disk is not ok and it possible s it fails.

In such cases and HDD replacement is desirable to check if it helps to solve both of these annoying problems.

I need to update the software HDD P.S. Shock Sensor but can not find anywhere.

    Hello

It's a very bad situation, but at the present time there is no Vista for Tecra A8 drivers. Only thing to do is check http://pc-support.toshiba-europe.com/vista/ from time to time and see if the drivers will be available in the near future.

  • How can I get Windows 7 to read RAW hard drives without having to format the hard drive due to important work on this subject?

Original title: the file format of external hard drive is the RAW and not NTFS. How can I get Windows 7 to read RAW hard drives without having to format the hard drive due to important work on this subject?

I put the hard drive on an XP and Vista machine and can read the hard drive, but not with Windows 7

    Hi Zling,

It works on other OS? When did you finally read the disc and with what OS? If you can read the drive and make a backup of the data on this subject, I you suggest to backup the data on the drive and then put it in using the NTFS file system.

  • Re: Tecra A7 - what is the maximum capacity of the HARD drive?

    Hi all

Is there any BIOS, hardware limitation of a hard drive replacement for Toshiba Tecra A7? I'm looking to install 500 GB hard drive. Will it work?

    Thank you
    Matt

    Hello

As I know there is no limit of capacity on the HARD disk for Tecra A7 already has a SATA interface and a controller for the HARD drive.

So, theoretically, 500 GB should work fine, I don't see a reason why it shouldn't work.

But you could give us a feedback here, how it works with 500 GB! ;)

  • Tecra S3: Installation of Vista does not recognize the HARD drive

I try to install Vista Ultimate on my Tecra S3, but installation does not recognize the HARD drive.

I tried to find the driver for Vista for my computer, but not found RAID.
Tried it with XP drivers, but no longer works.

Do you have an idea where I can download Vista drivers for RAID?

    THX

    Hello

Your suggestion is good. The Tecra S3 supports the RAID, and the RAID driver is required to install the OS on the HARD drive.
On the European driver Toshiba page I found a RAID for XP driver.

I put t know if this driver will run under Vista, but I recommend to test.
The RAID XP 1.3.8.0 driver version can be downloaded from this site:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU

Please note; You can store the RAID driver on an external USB and Vista should recognize it!

    Good luck

  • If I downloaded photos on my iphone on my hard drive from the desktop computer, can I remove iphoto library without deleting them on the hard drive?

I received the message that my iphone storage is almost full.  It is mainly from photos and videos.  I deleted the videos and have uploaded my photos on my hard drive of computer desk top of the page (which is a Dell non Apple products).  Can I now enter into the iphoto library and delete photos without losing those I downloaded on my desktop computer.  If so, how do I?  Thank you D

iCloud is a synchronization system, not an external 'hard drive '. If you remove them on your device, they will remove icloud. To increase the available space, go settings/iCloud/Photos and select optimize iPhone/iPad storage. That will reduce the space required by 90% when it is fully effective.

  • What windows7 do I need for a new generation of PC without HP software on the HARD drive?

If I had to use my HARD drive in new construction, what windows7 do I need? OEM, updated or complete.

My HARD drive has an OEM vista and I want to use this HARD drive to a new motherboard without any software/drivers HP.

Get out the HARD drive and install in the new PC with al lthe data it is about that now and then make a record of Bios?

    Hello

Your best way to go is to buy a copy of Windows 7 retail and perform a new installation of the present on the HARD disk when your build is ready - just insert the Windows 7 DVD and restart the computer to boot from it and start the installation (choose the custom option).

The main reason I'm saying this is because a change of MB is considered to be a paradigm of the PC, it is not covered by the terms of the OEM license, then your Vista OEM validation will fail as soon as you run it with the new MB - which also preclude the possibility of upgrade to Windows 7.

  • Restore Windows 8.1 without disks on the new hard drive on laptop Pavilion g6

    Hello world. First Post.

I got task to restore the laptop to my brother after his hard drive gave the click of death, only 6 months out of warranty. I replaced the hard drive.  Fortunately all of its documents and photos have been copied on an external drive, but there is unfortunately no image of the system or the restore disc or disc to install Windows 8.

Y at - it anywhere on the net where I can get an ISO image to burn a disc of installation of Windows 8 or can HP provide a preference restore disc to restore the laptop back to factory settings.

    Any ideas greatly appreciated.

    Hello

    There are two options available.

    1. you can order a set of replacement of the recovery media using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software.  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.

    Order HP recovery disks.

    2. download the file to Image of Windows 8 on the following link - Note that this Image file is subject to a ceiling of download, you may need to try over a period of a few hours before the download starts correctly.

If you need a utility to create a flashdrive bootable for this Image, try the free app below.

    http://Rufus.AKEO.IE/

The product key for Windows 8 is encrypted in your bios chip and read automatically during installation.

Software extra and you may need drivers are by entering your full model number or Nr here.

    helloo,

I have a toshiba satallite laptop running windows vista but it is slow uinresponsive and I will get a new laptop so I want to sell it, but the hard drive is faulty, so I can't reformat or restore settings because these require a disc, but I need the laptop to be empty, I'm not very tech savy and I don't know anyone who is so I desperately need help Thanks for any help that can be given.

    Hello

ask Toshibaif you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

    the other way to solve this problem;

    Replace the CD/DVD drive, then:

Contact Toshiba and ask them to send you recovery disks vista to reinstall the operating system as it was when you bought it

32-bit to 64-bit is not an upgrade

It must be done with a clean installation using a full version ' / Ultimate 64 bit license

Contact the manufacturer of your computer for more information on getting 64-bit ultimate, which I doubt they will always

  • Adding an SSD on my PC without having to replace the HARD drive

    Greetings!

I have a HP Pavilion Elite HPE - 180 t desktop PC with Windows 7 64 bit installed.  I do a good amount of games on my PC and a year ago I upgraded my card to an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 470 graphics and my diet to a Thermaltake TR2 RX 750W unit.  I also have a card mother mATX (9.6 "x 9.6") of PEGATRON.

Recently, I tried adding an SSD for my machine in order to improve the performance and organisation for some PC games that I love.  I did some research on the subject and am found a bit confused on whether or not, my motherboard will be able to handle the addition of an SSD in my machine.  I have read that I need you sure that my motherboard supports natively AHCI?  How can I check to be sure that if I buy an SSD that I'll be able to integrate it into my system?

To be clear, I want to continue to use my disk regularly to run my operating system and all the other goodies on my PC and install an SSD for store and load my music/movies/games etc.  I was watching some affordable 'mushkin' SSD that seem to do the trick.  I can give the link for more later if necessary.  Thanks for your help!

    Hello

F10 to the HP splash screen you will get in the bios.

AHCI is recommended for use with an SSD, but it is not necessary. Most modern SSDS are supported operation garbage collection which does almost the same thing to maintain the SSD.  Check with the manufacturer of your SSD.

Even if the SATA controller is set to RAID and the SSD doesn't not part of an active array, topping should always work.
