  If you require a read-only column, only to be read-only other characters than the BACKSPACE key (deletion)? Don't you see that this would NOT be a field read-only? You need a piece of JavaScript to reject all keys but this key when you are in this text box.

  I have a t420s. I set a bios and hard drive password and boot from the hd only local. In addition, I put in a bigger of the 500 series ssd intel.

  Nothing has changed.

  No idea why, but if I press F1 at startup to access the BIOS, I am automatically in "read only" mode. How to unlock this mode?

  in oder to enter the supervisor password (Administrator) you have to press F1 at the start of a cold, start machine stopped. • Series read lack bytes

  I need to read some telemetry equipment. Length of the telemetry is exactly 113 bytes. It does not have the bytes start and end, however the 2nd and the 3rd byte is always "DD" and the last two bytes is a mistake of the other 111 bytes CRC check.

  For the moment, using the VI I send you attached, I can read the telemetry but with some problems. Sometimes it won't read the correct 1 byte, resulting in a misinterpretation of the telemetry. And there are moments that don't read all 113 bytes (read only between 86 ~ 109 bytes), which is also a big problem.

  When these problems arise, it will often be read properly on read the following series. However, sometimes it takes a lot of time to read properly and I can not afford this.

  These problems are all random. For an hour, it can have very few problems and then, in 10 minutes, it may have a lot of problems reading consecutive series. I have used other software to verify the telemetry and they do not have these problems. This means that I do not correctly use LabVIEW to read the serial number or there is something that I am missing.

  Disable the stop character.  'S done it with the configure Serial Port VI (there is a Boolean value on top of the VI who needs a forgery connected to it).  By default, the character of endpoint is 0xA.  So if you have this character anywhere in your data flow, VISA playback stop here.

  I also recommend moving the installation and closing the serial port on the outside of your loops.  You should only install and close once.  You must also add a way to stop the outer While loop (abandonment of the VI is not a good idea, especially since you use the communication bus).

• Unable to copy files... Read only problem?

  A few weeks back, I noticed that I couldn't copy or access certain files on an external hard drive.  If I tried to copy the files to another drive, only a few files copy and then she quit.  Finally windows could not even see the external hard drive.  It is this same thing on three different computers. During which I repetedly went to folder properties and off to read-only and it was able to copy most of the files, the only exception is a large 100 MB video file +... This looks very similar to what was going on with my external hard drive...

  Whatever the problem is, it isn't the read-only check box.  In XP, the 'Read only' checkbox in the properties is associated with a custom folder and has nothing to do with the write protect.  A good explanation is in this article:

  Is the number of characters in the path to the file?  If you have directories within directories, etc., the number of characters in the path to the file can become large.  Windows has a limit of 256 bytes.  There are other more reliable means of copying the files.  Discover "Robocopy" (robust copy) that figure in the freeWindows XP Resource Kit .

• USB key came into read-only mode

  When some Flash storage starts to falter, it locks in a read-only mode. So, it might be failing.

  When you try to format the drive, you must select the drive itself in disk utility, not partitions. If that's how you try to reformat, so I guess it's a failure.

  So, the problem seems to be that attachments are stored as files read-only by Thunderbird and an application it can open without editing privileges, so you cannot change the.
