• Open Manage Server Administrator does not not on almost all servers

  We have about 15 PowerEdge servers and all but 2 or 3 get errors trying to use OM server administrator.  A few months ago, they have all worked very well.  You know not so updated Windows caused it or what.

  They get the "Cannot display this page" error when you open the server administrator.

  I can't find any rhyme or reason as to why this is happening.  Sometimes a R730, R720s and R710s, as well as some older R515s.  I tried different versions of Openmanage, set updated to 8.3 and it did not help.   It also occurs on servers running Windows Server 2008 R2 and R2 2012.

  An our R720 is identical to another and one works, the other not.  They are identical hardware (bought at the same time), same OS, same firmware, same function as Hyper-V servers.  Why a job and the other Gets the error?  No idea.

  As I say, it works fine for a long time (years, in the case of some servers) and now all of a sudden stopped.

  I loaded Chrome on one of the servers and it actually works.  I guess it's a question of IE.   Always very strange that it works in Internet Explorer on a few servers, but not on most of the others.

None of the motherboard manufactures will support XP (thanks to MS) and more recent SATA drives do not work in my motherboard more old.

• vCenter Server Service does not start after P2V

  Hello community.

  A problem that I have not been able to solve and looking for help.

  Problem:

  vCenter Server Service does not start after that Windows Server was P2V would be.  We get an ERROR 2 of the Service.  Get the error of the system Windows 7024 event log.

  History:

  The client, I currently work with that tries to smash to the high location of the DEV VCENTER.  Location of DEV vcenter works now all for this site (domains, dns and all development servers).  If its VCENTER PRODUCTION of this location.  Currently, SQL Server (dedicated to vCenter), VCENTER and SSO are all sitting on the same box.  Let's break the SSO, SQL and VCENTER in their own servers.  However, the client wants to re - use the current physical server for SQL Server.  So I need P2V physical server existing until I can start the new environment.

  I was able to get all of the services working on the virtual vCenter (SQL, SSO, Update Manager etc etc) but have been unable to get the real vCenter Server Service works.  Fails every time with the 2 ERROR Code.  I was unable to get a KB of VMWARE item that corresponds to the issue I'm having.  ERROR 2 code has many articles and none have worked.

  When the vCenter Service tries to start it will stop at the 50% mark and gives this error: (I removed the names for security reasons)

  When I saw the Windows system event log I get this error:

  I pulled the virtual machine in a laboratory and all network problems that would be removed to isolate.  Now the VCENTER is shouting at this topic it can't find one of its guests in the vdxp log, but that shouldn't matter.  All Services have been changed for local accounts.  All network and ODBC parameters are able to see the server... aka the server can see.  I didn't remove any software or drivers for the VM (techniques it is my third P2V to the same server for testing reasons)... And the only thing that won't start is always VCENTER SERVER... SSO is started, SQL is launched...

  Also everything remained the same on the virtual machine (DNS, IP, NAME etc etc). Stop the physical and start-up it upward don't show any problems.  Only when its summer P2V would have done that themselves.

  I can't get this number.  Need help.

  In this case, we have finished rebuilding the vCenter and all migrate on.  Wish had better put up-to-date, but ultimately, it's what has been done.

  If you have a backup of the file config before you made the changes, restore this file.

  If this isn't the case, it seems that you have a few typos and extra spaces in your arguments.  For example "-xx" should be capitalized and '{application .home}' has a space after 'application' that shouldn't be there.  Note that the JVM arguments are case-sensitive.

  Here are the arguments for a working copy of the CF8, use at your own risk and your backup configuration file before making any changes.

• OSX Server caching does not work after update

  It was low on my priority list, but the OSX Server that we run in the House for the caching seems to have stopped caching; from what I remember, it was related to the update software to 10.11.4 of what it was before, and server software everything that has been installed to 5.1. Updates both to the latest versions now have not helped. It of kind of frustrating, but all he puts in cache are now asking that makes for itself. No customer request is visible. It worked before.

  Platform: Mac Mini, "the end of 2014", bought this year. OSX currently on 10.11.5; 5.1.5 Server

  Network configuration: IP public addresses multiple; several subnets.

  Clients do not use the same IP address as a server.

  Full assignment of the IP of the site listed in _aaplcache._tcp TXT DNS records (plural - because I did it for the DNS records for each subdomain DNS LAN client) using the type prs; DNS is on Windows Server 2012R2. Any length of characters, because they were not specified during the installation of OSX Server cached the required DNS records.

  No firewall is between the server and clients on the local network (only a L3 switch), but obviously, if the customer traffic leaves our network, it passes through a firewall. No change to the rule group since it worked finally.

  The Mac Mini has an interface (with IP address and corresponding DNS record) in each subnet of the client (using virtual LANs), but it seems to register with the Apple servers using its main wired LAN IP (which can reach customers) with the Apple servers.

  Mac Mini connects via gigabit ethernet.

  Wireless connectivity is through a mix of HP MSM and Ubiquiti access points; no system seems to result in customer traffic.

  My understanding of the protocols involved are something along these lines.

  -OSX server registers with Apple, using its normal connection; transmits the local LAN IP address for the cache clients to use; can pass TXT DNS records to help "seed" of customers, or can use the parameter entry in the cache server configuration.

  -Customers use the TXT DNS record to inform the global servers of Apple that they need the IP address of the server cache.

  -Apple returns the local LAN IP address.

  -The customer is for the server cache.

  -Profit.

  I certainly see the first happening party - the Debug.log show apparently successful registration; the cache in the applet Server service is green - but no client request seems to happen.

I am the administrator and the only user of this computer. My login is not your typical connection, it isn't fancy with photos etc. is the old login box with only the user name and the password. I tried safe mode and I can't get into safe mode, but when I select windows safe mode starts up normally and the connection will appear. No matter what I have I can't get in. I don't have a CD to reset restart and helps administrator as the username without password does not work because it pops up saying "unable to connect due to account restrictions. Please help me.

  Hi, I tried to install memeo instant backup, a program of a product I have recentley bought. I know that the software and the product is not damaged, because I am able to install it on other computers. Its my fault see however, I have a FreeAgent GoFlex 1 TB seagate external hard drive, and I had planned to use it on multiple computers. Sort of, I have it installed on my computer windows 7 any problem, but when I was installing on my windows vista computer, I accidentally unplugged the drive during the installation of the boad of seagate and memeo instant dashboard upward.  Needless to say, I knew this would be a problem. Windows popped up saying that the dashboard Seagate (which is the program that installs Memeo instant backup) have not installed properly, so I clicked on reinstall this program with the recommended settings, and I handed the drive and started the installation again. Setup of the Board of Directors of Dash Seagate stood and I started to install and when it came to installing the Memeo backup snapshot, a window is in the "Preparing to install" a windows installer, and after about 10 to 15 minutes, another windows installer window popped up saying "install the server does not" there is no error code or anything. She has just one option again or cancel

  You can uninstall the installation of backup by using programs and features? If this isn't the case, it can be it is an incomplete installation and does not let you uninstall it.

  You may need to use a 3rd party software removal tool to uninstall.
  Then reinstall the backup of the installation and see if the installation completed successfully.

  I have been using my Windows 7 Home Edition premium on a network including Server 2003 and two machines on XP.
  It worked for a year already, no problem.
  Now, on Monday morning, I start my Windows 7 and the user name or password is not accepted and there is no way I can connect to files on the server?  What's wrong?
  I connect XP machines without problem, but Win7 does NOT work.
  Any ideas?
