Set up Directory Services

I have trouble setting up directory on vFoglight 6.5.1 Services. I read some of the forums, and while they have been helpful, I am still unable to manage accounts via LDAP.

Account anonymous is wrong

The unique name of the service account Hugh Jass

Password                                                                     ****

Query LDAP CN = prefix

Suffix of LDAP query, OU = accounts, DC = dixie, DC wrecked =, DC = com

Scopes to search for groups, DC = dixie, DC wrecked =, DC = com

The second space of group names change...

Space of group names third edition...

The LDAP context for research OR user = accounts, DC = dixie, wrecked = DC, DC is com

Role ID attribute name

Is Role attribute a false DN

The alias attribute ID sAMAcountName user

ID of the attribute to search for members of groups

Match the DN of the user fake

I'm sure it's something simple, but I have not found what it is. I've changed the 'role is DN attribute' true, and it does not improve anything. Password and the Service account is current and accurate; in fact, the vFoglight can connect to the LDAP server without problem... I can't anyone connect successfully, by using their domain credentials.

A couple of things you can try:

1: service account name format: CN = hugh jass, OU = accounts, DC = dixie, DC = is sinking. DC = com or whatever this user chain

2: take the suffix of the query to the top of the field:, DC = dixie, DC = is sinking. DC = com

3: take the user searches the string up just as you did for the Group research: DC = dixie, DC-sinking of the prestige, DC = com

Once you confirm that you can connect at the top of the domain tree, start restrict user & group research.

I hope this helps!

    Hello

I just installed Windows Server 2012. After you have added the DNS and Active Directory functions/roles on the server, I noticed that the Active Directory service is not running, but it is disabled. When I try to start the service, I get the error - The Active Directory Domain Services service on Local computer started and then stopped. Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs.

Any ideas what could cause this?

  • Directory services cannot start SBS2003 lsass.exe error?

    Hi all

I have a SBS 2003 server who gave a customer who seems not to start windows.
It gives 0xc000007a error code (Directory Services cannot start because the specified procedure could not be found).
After finally the local Windows password reset, I am now faced with another problem, how to solve the problem I have for the first time to the difficulty.

I've done some commands listed on the Microsoft article http://support.microsoft.com/kb/258062, nothing helped.

I've already run the disk check, but it is impossible to run a repair on the installation because it shows the same error

Does anyone know how to get the server to start successfully, without the need to reinstall Windows?

  • When I try to find a LAN printer "directory service is not available" error appeas in XP

My laptop computer, an IBM T43, works in a room separate from the printer. The printer, a HP Photosmart C6180, is connected by a CAT5 cable to the wireless router, a Linksys WRT54G.  When the laptop is connected to the printer with a USB cable, it finds the printer and print. When he tries to print via the wireless network, it can not find a printer. When he tries to find the printer it gives the error "the directory service is currently unavailable." Nothing seems to go beyond this error. Efforts have been made through the administrative account.

It has been my experience that it is usually easier to install HP network printers using the HP software by running the windows "Add Printer Wizard."  This is especially true for all-in-one devices like your C6100.

The icon of the printer that you have (if you have not deleted) is the installation of a direct USB connection.

If the printer is connected to a point over the network, the correct port is perhaps still.  Select the properties of the printer as before and open the Ports tab.  Is there a line for which the middle ('Description') column is "HP Standard TCP/IP Port" or "Standard TCP/IP Port"?  If so, put a check mark in the box and now you'll be able to click on the button 'Configure the Port' and get the IP address to match the one configured in the printer (192.168.1.104).  Note that checking the box for a new port as it unplug the printer from printing to the USB port.

If no "HP Standard TCP/IP Port" or "Standard TCP/IP Port" is listed, you will need to go through the installation process to get it.  Although this can be done manually (if Windows knows your printer, which is doubtful for a C6100), as I wrote above, it is much easier to do using the HP software.  See pages 12 and 21-21 of your User Guide.  You must remove the USB connection, as suggested in step 4 of the instructions if you think you might use this connection at any given time.

If you do not have the CD that came with the printer, you can download the necessary software here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=1153494#N191 the package is large enough.  It's not not clear to me if the "basic print and scan" driver package can support a network installation.  The 'Corporate' bundle only if you do not want to download the complete collection of applications.  However, again based on my experience with the HP software, you might find more easy with the "Full Feature" package installation - if you can put up with the large download.

  • No prompt connection at the connection, only the directory service repair mode works

I have window 7 and there was an automatic update that took place last night. 15 updates I think. This morning when I have time to connect, everything seems normal. When I click on my icon to enable the password prompt to appear, instead the icon disappeared a moment then reappeared with no password. I tried to fix it, I run into all the different security modes, etc., but nothing works, I can't get the password prompt to appear. Any ideas?

Update: I was able to get through "directory service repair mode. I have not to do anything more until I get more information.

    Hello

Thanks for posting your question on the Microsoft community.

I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.

You made any hardware or software changes on your computer before the show?

Thank you for details on the issue.

This problem can occur either due to start-up files Windows corrupted or if the master boot record and boot sector is damaged.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:
Startup Repair to do it and check.
    Refer to this article:
What are the system recovery options in Windows?
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/what-are-system-recovery-options#what-are-system-recovery-options=Windows-7

If this does not help, use method 2.

    Method 2:
Please use the suggestions in this article and check the issue.
    Reference:
Use Bootrec.exe in the WINRE to resolve startup problems
    https://support.Microsoft.com/en-us/KB/927392

Note: You may need another installation of Windows 7 DVD. You must also change the priority of boot on DVD in the BIOS settings of your computer to boot from DVD.

Important: Changing the BIOS / semiconductor (CMOS) to complementary metal oxide settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

    I hope this information helps.

Please let us know if you need more help.

  • JDeveloper 12.2.1 - Directory Service is not valid

    Hi, OTN,.

I can't find an answer to this question anywhere on Google or OTN so I thought I would make a new thread

I have a SOA Application which was originally established in 11.1.1.6 but imported and migrated to a 12.2.1.0 project.

Whenever I try to watch all types of existing adapters or create new adapters I get to the first screen of the wizard Configuration of adapter and when I click on 'Next', I get the following error message will appear and I can't continue:

    "Error in directory service.

    "Directory Service is invalid."

I've reproduced the problem on two separate installations of JDeveloper on two machines. The facility came from the fmw_12.2.1.0.0_soaqs of quick start...

The same is true when you use the adapter AQ, B2B, BAM, consistency, Database, file, FTP, HTTP, JMS, MQ, MFT, LDAP connection, MSMQ, Socket and adapters UMS

Would someone has an idea of what goes wrong with the assistants of the adapter, or that provide guidance to where might begin to know what goes wrong?

    Thank you very much

    Neil

I think I've answered my own question:

The error "directory of the Service is not valid" when you use the adapter configuration wizard appears when there is a space in the path of the request file

I was using a C:\Users\u0048432\Documents\mywork\Core Data\CoreData.jws file path for my application

If I rename the folder from C:\Users\u0048432\Documents\mywork\CoreData\CoreData.jws (no space), the error disappears and I can use the Adapter Configuration Wizard again.

A strange question that does not occur in the 11g version (I have spaces in the paths for all of my projects/applications).

I hope this message can be useful to someone in the future!

    See you soon,.

  • vCenter Server Component install hangs on the installation directory services

    Hello

I'm on a 64-bit OS of Windows 2008. I update vCenter 5.5 Update 2 and 5.5 updated 3d.  I can install the SSO, WebClient and Inventory Service very well without any problems.  I get to the vCenter server component and it hangs on "Install Directory Services".  I checked the vminst.log and I get:

    "Try to start ["C:\Windows\system32\cmd.exe"/c start /w C:\Windows\system32\ocsetup.exe DirectoryServices-ADAM/passive /norestart].

I Googled that and of course a dozen connections to users having problems with installing the server vCenter on Windows 2012R2 lack the ocsetup.exe. As I said, I'm still on Win2008.  I have not ran sfc/scannow - no chance.  I tried to copy the ocsetup.exe from a Win2008 well-known to vCenter box - same thing.  Tried different accounts thinking I have a bad profile - no luck.  Anyone have a similar problem?

well, too bad.  I guess I wasn't be patient.  This time I let it "hang" and it finally finished after almost an hour.  At least see the progress bar move would have been useful.

  • is there a minimum set of windows services that can be run under Labview?

I need more cpu resources to perform my VI, is there a list of Windows resources that I can disable that will not affect the VI?

    Hello

I would like to know if there is a minimum of services set in really need of LabVIEW. Not because my VI needs more CPU, but because I don't see why I should have 10 services OR running in the background even when LabVIEW is not working.

The list of services OR that I have running on my Vista 64 bit system when LabVIEW is not running is:

    national instruments tagsrv.exe 1 k 9 996 variable motor

    2 nisvcloc.exe NOR 0,920 k service locator

    3 NOR-PAL 3 492 k nipalsm.exe service manager

    4 NOR-Pal 7 468 k nipalsm.exe service manager

    5 nipalsm.exe service manager OR-Pal 21 356 k

    service of National Instruments Zeroconf nimdnsResponder.exe 6 k 1 924

    7 niLxiDiscovery.exe National instruments LXI Discovery Service 1 592 k

    nidmsrv.exe 8 nidmsrv 3 492 k

    lktsrv.exe 9 iktsrv.exe 3 480 k

    10 lkads.exe lkads 3 124 k

    TOTAL 56 844 K

Anyone know which of these I really need? I do not connect any equipment data acquisition on this machine. It is purely used for writing vi which are then transferred to another machine where they are tested. I have installed DAQmx and LabVIEW 8.6.

    Thank you.

  • Problem setting up the services of Informatica in DAC

    Hi all

I'm new to BI Apps and try to learn some things. I installed Oracle BI Apps 7951, Informatica and CAD, by following the steps mentioned in the document "installation and setting up Oracle BI Applications". I do not change the default name of the service Repositiry and integration service and kept as "PoweCenter" and "PowerCenter_Integration_Service", respectively. Arriving at the stage where the document asks for the Services of Informatica in DAC, I get the error:
Error connecting to the Informatica repository server...
Service [PowerCenter] does not exist in the area.
I tried to change the name of the repository as indicated in the RFSO, but without success. I'm speciying integration service Administrator/administrator.

I'd be really grateful to you all, experts in this area if you can give some time to this subject.

    Thank you
    Ashish

Configuration of DAC with Informatica PowerCenter Server Communication can help you.

  • "Windows Installer has stopped working". After going to 'manage' under 'computer', I find that windows install is missing from the directory 'services '.

I managed to solve the problem by doing something with my registry. Now after a week his new broke and I don't remember how I fixed it. I am running windows vista ultimate. I discovered that it was broken again by trying to download java. HALP.

I rebooted my computer in any way, and nothing has worked. However, it seems even e-mail links have stoped working.

I can only suggest that you back up all your personal files and folders you want to keep in a flash drive or an external hard drive, then...

    1. If your computer comes with a Vista installation DVD, you can use it to perform a repair installation.

    Repair for Vista installation
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/88236-repair-install-Vista.html
If you do not, find a friend who has a. Make sure it has the same version of bits as yours.

    2. If you have a set of recovery disks created at the time you purchased your computer, use and restore your computer to 'presets' (as the first is out of the box)

If you do not have a set of facts, contact the manufacturer of your computer, ask a set of recovery disks. The cost is very low and it is well worth the expense.
In the same Helena ask to speak to a technician. Ask the person to teach you how to access your recovery partition (if you have one) and how to use it to restore your system.

The recovery partition was the installation by the manufacturer of your computer. They know exactly how to use it.

With my limited knowledge, that's all I can help you.

    ........................................................................................

Someones with a better knowledge of the computer may have better ideas to solve your problem.
Please wait for another entry of others.
