Setting authorization and sharing

Hello

How I set my sharing and permission definition so that the user can access a folder but can't access the folder itself?
Currently on my share drive, I have a folder "A". With there a few subfolders in the folder. I would like a user under my domain name to access the file 'B' listed with 'A'. Currently my setting is that the user read permission in the "sharing authorization" of the Outbox folder. I did not specify the security setting of the "A" record for the user. In the folder B, I give full security of user authorization.
I created a shortcut for the user to directly access files 'B '. Currently the user have no problem to access the folder B. However when the user presses ALT + up or the backrest of a standard button, the user can see the files in the folder "A". I don't want the user to be able to do.
How can I configure the setting?

You must share the folder B himself and give the user access to that. This would mean that this B is the root of the drive, so there are more high level. You can have a share in a share.

Sharing A means only that the user must have read access to be able to see the B folder to open it.

  • shared variables stops when I use RT Set date and time.vi

    Hi all

I have a problem that I can't solve. I run a project of RT on a PXI-8106 module using LV8.5. I used shared Variables to transfer data to and from my host computer for about 6 months with no problems. Recently I neeeded to the synchronization time RT with my host PC of time (to collect time-stamped data of the target RT) and I decided to use the "RT set time and Date.vi ' both before the beginning of each synchronization test.

As soon as I started using this vi, I noticed that my shared variables would either stop updating, or slow down considerably (this includes loss of data during the transfer of data between the PXI to host PC with shared variable). I do not receive any errors or warnings from any of my shared variables, and no errors are generated when using the RT set time and Date vi, so im at a loss for where to start. Ive disabled this feature for now and my system works well again, but I want to get this to work because the timestamps generated in the data by the RT system are out and I need a method to synchronize the time with the host pc.
    Any ideas would be appreciated,

    Thank you

    David

Thanks for the info. I'll avoid upgrading to 8.5.1 at the moment so I'll just remove the VI. Instead, I create a 'elapsed time' timestamp which should do the job.

    See you soon,.

  • Problem setting up family sharing

I just bought my daughter an iPod touch and I would like to add to the family sharing. I created an email for it in hotmail. Checked his age avec.50 at Microsoft. My problem is when I click on iCloud and click on the family, it is said that an invitation is sent. If I connect in its my iPhone email account and click on the email asking me to 'Get Started '.

Once there he asks me to accept what I do. But then it says, invalid Invitation. He said: I'm already part of this family, go back to iCloud defining and tap on the family to review the settings of your families.

    Help!

    Thank you

    Marc

    Hi Marc,

Thank you for your participation in the communities of Support from Apple.

Looks like you're accepting the family share the invitation sent to the e-mail address of your daughter with your iPhone. Accept the invitation will be implemented a family sharing on the device you are in time, then try the same steps on your daughter touch iPod should work.

For reference, here's more information to set up the sharing of the family:

    Join a family group

You can accept or decline an invitation to join a family of your device:

    • On your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, go to settings > iCloud > Invitations.
    • On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences > iCloud > family to manage.
    • If the invitation is sent to your e-mail address, you can respond to the right of your e-mail address.

To accept an invitation, follow the instructions on the screen. Here is what you will be asked to do so when you register:

    • Confirm your Apple ID and password.
    • Choose if you want to share your content and that Apple ID you want to share.
    • Choose if you want to share your location. If you agree, your location can be displayed on devices of members of the family find friends and Messages, and the location of your shared devices will also appear on devices of the family members to find my iPhone.

If you cannot accept the invitation, see if someone else has joined a family with your Apple ID, or is sharing content purchased with your Apple ID. Don't forget, you can join only one family at a time, and you can only switch to another family group once a year.

    See you soon.

  • My outlook express won't let emails through. I am getting an authorization and then an error will appear.

    Outlook express won't come through

My outlook express won't let emails through. I am getting an authorization and then an error will appear. Sometimes it will say: reception of messages, but none will come by.  A box appears and says that he put an end to the connection, maybe because of the connection to the server, the long period of inactivity or network connection. Also, I get a message on and which was completely removed several times on the file inbox and delete. I have no idea how to solve this problem or what I did to make it. I've never experienced this before.

You probably have the widespread corruption of dbx files. Try in a new identity.

File | Identities | Add the new identity. Create a new one and try it. If all goes well, you can import your messages and address book from the old identity and delete it.

Note: Do not use the main word in the name of the new identity.

In addition, follow these guidelines to help avoid this in the future.

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Information on the maximum size of the .dbx files that are used by Outlook Express:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?kbid=903095

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the processors and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs and account setting changes. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:
    http://www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3

    And backup often.

    B3PPE,

See that article following (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833) if it can help you to manually replace the files that SFC could not fix, it also gives you measurements on log file filtering so that only unsuccessful repairs of SFC are listed. Please note that the best source for replacement files would be a sound installation of vista with the functions you want to work.

I will add to check your hard disk for errors, as corruption SFC could be linked to it. For details, see check your drive for errors .

Our final recommended option for the problem that you encounter will be a Vista repair install:

    <><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

You can reinstall your copy of Vista while keeping your files, settings and programs by performing a repair install or a level facility.

    1. Insert the Windows installation disc in your computer's DVD or CD drive. You must start Windows installation while running your existing version of Windows.

    2. on the Install Windows page, click install now.

    3. on the get updates for installation page, we recommend getting the latest updates to help ensure a successful installation and to help protect your computer against security threats. You will need an Internet connection to get the installation updates.

    4. on the Type your product key for activation , we strongly recommend that you type your 25-character product key in order to avoid problems during activation.

    5. on the page Please read the terms of the license , if you accept the license terms, click I accept the terms of the license.

    6. to the which type of installation you want? page, click upgrade to begin the upgrade. You can see a compatibility report.

    7 follow the instructions.

Note: If your installation disc doesn't include SP1, and you are updated, then you must uninstall it before proceeding with an update install. Start-> Control Panel-> programs-> see installed updates, then select Service Pack for Microsoft Windows and click on Uninstall.

    <><><><><><><><><><><><>

It is always advisable to backup any and all important data before continuing with the major changes to your system. Please see: methods for backing up your files.

Always make sure that you have the means to reinstall your programs, or by an installation disc or access to the installation files.

    <><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Only a clean installation may shrink toward the low enough differences to isolate what causes this scenario. There are already has with your file system corruptions, we can't go until this is completely isolated. Please let us know if a reinstallation of your operating system is an option for you at this point.

  • Problem with wireless - Vista Network and Sharing Center does not recognize my connection!

I use the Home Visa software and my network and sharing Center does not recognize my connection but I can access the internet without any problem. Previously, I was using a wireless router Linksys with an old box of AT & T internet with no problems. The problems started after I updated my AT & T internet box that made obsolete the linksys router and now the network share does not connect. I just have the problem of getting the network and sharing device recognizing that I am actually connected to a wireless network. I can't use my printer or share files with other people. I can't get my wireless printer to work if I restart my computer and I have the documents I want printed already sent to the printer. My network and sharing Center also works very well for a few seconds when I start my computer then it turns off again.

  • Network and sharing - Center identification... (Public network) Loop

    Hello

For some time now, I had problems with the SP1 Home Premium Windows Vista x 64.

Basically, I have 3 HP laptops and a PC to measure any connection to a router that I am wanting to set up like a home network private.

The router I'm using is a Netgear WGT624V4 using the latest firmware available.

I have also a Netgear WG111T Wireless USB adapter Belkin F5D7050B Wireless USB adapter and a built-in network adapter Atheros 5007EG.

When I put all cards wireless network, they connect very well and let me to set the sharing and network name for the private network, etc.

However, after re-booting of Vista, if I open Network Center and sharing, I show that the network is listed as identification... (Public network). He's going to stay like this for 30 seconds or so, then connect to the network private accordingly, but after 5 seconds, then return to the identification... (Public network) affirm once again and will continue this loop until I have disable or remove wireless adapters, disconnect the network or reboot the machines.

And even after that, there is no guarantee that the network will be identified correctly and it will more than likely the same loop as shown above.

Any help with this is greatly appreciated. Andrew.

Nope, turning on the firewall while setting up the network did not help. Always had problems with Vista 64 hang on 'public' for a few minutes, then spend "Private" only return to "Public" shortly there after.

It seems that even if stop you the firewall from Windows services settings always run in the background. Bit tricky blighters!

I found myself fixing by the entry into service of Windows Firewall and 'Disable' Services completely, now I'm only show as 'public' for about 30 seconds, while it finds its place in polite society (my network).

All seems well now that I'm running as my routers firewall.
