Several devices no longer work correctly after Windows 7 upgrade

Hello

Upgraded from vista ultimate to windows 7 problems with my eject button and other buttons on my laptop. They no longer work. Storage of mass and those problems?

Please help me to get my laptop working again as I am not able to use my recovery disks that the laptop does not recognize the disc 2 so I'm stuck with Windows 7. The buttons on the phone IE, eject, s1, s2 and volume do not work and I have a mass storage controller problem it says no driver?. I tried and tried to find one, but I can't. I asked Sony for the replacement of the recovery disks and they want forty quid and I argued its their fault the disks didn't copy correctly in the first place so they should give them for free, but they do not really give a xxxx.  I'm not very high on the ins and outs of computers so if you are kind enough to help me please keep in terms simple lol. Many thanks in advance Jeanette

My sound card has been disabled when I install an automatic update for windows. There was an extra audio driver in Device Manager 'bluetooth AV audio' and audio peripheral anoither like this. After installation there is no sound coming out if my sound card was on the list of Device Manager. I followed several steps through windows help and support to solve the problem since seeing him on my laptop for mute also did not work. After you resolve the problem with the use of MICROSOFT FIX IT, it was fixed but this isn't the same quality that I get. Its volume is less eventhough volume: 100. • Satellite P850 almost nothing works correctly after Windows update 8.1.

Model: Toshiba Satellite P 850 part number: PSPKFV-00H002AR

Machine is purchased in UAE (United Arab Emirates) UNITED with Windows 8 installed at the factory. Doesn't have a 3d screen. Doesn't have the capacity of Blu ray.

I have the following problems: most of the stuff does not work properly after that I updated to Windows 8.1 Although I followed the manual of Toshiba.

Some of the function Fn keys do not work.

Eco button does not work (even if it does not work in Windows 8 also)

Accelerator drive HARD does not work. says "caching works correctly", but when I go into the history of the use it has not been used since the day wherever I've updated to 8.1 Windows

There is NO driver for the built in LAN card (manufacturer Realtek)

The following solution is possible: uninstall all the drivers/utilities Toshiba and registry clean (with backup of course)

Go to download Toshiba Driver and select the 64-bit Windows 8 operating system (I guess that's for computers with pre installed Win 8.1 at the factory?)

Download any supplied drivers and see if everything works.

(I always download my drivers on Toshiba EU website (no question of machine is bought from UNITED Arab Emirates) because I don't see any difference in the files and Toshiba MEA Middle East and Asia Web site is slow and does not work most of the time.)

Also is there a manual with good order with installing the drivers? I guess that's something like Chipset driver > driver for Toshiba system > Toshiba flash cards Manager > then all the Toshiba Utilities > drivers for LAN, WLAN, sound, video, fingerprint reader?

And one last question made Office Toshiba assist include the last HARD disk Accelerator utility? If not, where can I download the latest version of work for my model/brand computer laptop that works with Windows 8.1?

    null

    > Some of the function Fn keys do not work.

To get all the keys FN works, installation of all Windows 8.1 tools is very important.
Tools such as: * System Toshiba Toshiba function key utility, utility Support Flash Cards, driver *.
You must look for each driver in the Windows 8.1 update 8.1 Windows 64 bit box

    > Eco button does not work (even if it does not work in Windows 8 also)
You need to update/install the Eco Utility for Windows 8.1 update

    > Drive HARD Accelerator is not work says of "caching works correctly", but when I go into the history of the use it has not been used since the day where I've updated to 8.1 Windows

Have you installed the utilities of the accelerometer and HDD Protection Utility for Windows 8.1 64bits?
Where n t, the mentioned tools are located in the area of 64-bit Windows 8.1

    > There is NO driver for the built in LAN card (manufacturer Realtek)
It's the same local network as for Windows 8

  • Spectrum 13 Pro laptop HP: Audio doesn't work correctly after Windows upgrade 10

I've updated my PC HP spectrum Pro 13 laptop with Windows 10, after her international (idt high definition audio codec) Audio is not working properly.

It works with some sound of PCs and with a highres movie played with VLC but my main application of the company "Skype for Business" claims that the speaker not working and when testing with Deezer there is a horrible squeeking sound instead of beautiful music.

Even if I try a headset (Jabra) external USB S4B claims the "speaker not working', but it starts to work when I disable (idt high definition audio codec).

    What should do?

    Fixed it my self.

Sollution, I uninstalled the IDT HD audio driver and reinstalled (same version, I had all along), then I also changed the samplingrate of quality studio I saw in another article

  • Keyboard no longer works correctly after connecting to the projector

Don't know how to describe it - this has never happened before. I took my new edge 555 at work today, hooked up to a projector via the VGA port, and it does not give the image on the projector. But as soon as I started to type (I was in MS Word 2016), I could not put any text on the Word doc. I think that my laptop thought I tried to use the keyboard shortcuts, because a variety of things in the MS Office Ribbon began to appear. Press the keys, he was doing something, but it wasn't inserting text into a document.

I don't know if I've accidentally hit a few keyboard combo or not, but I had no idea what to do. Fortunately, I was able to connect to a nearby computer and use it. But of course, this is not what I bought this laptop for.

Sorry for my vague description - as I said, this has never happened before. But can someone tell me how to make sure that this doesn't happen?

    He solved.

Don't know which one of these two has done, but one of them did.

Called Lenovo tech support. The guy said he does support for years, and that almost always, the problem is solved when you turn the laptop, I did. He said it was probably something stuck under a key, which has made my laptop thinking I was still on the sidelines, even when my finger, I had taken leave.

The other thing is that the last time it happened, I noticed I hit the Fn key at the bottom left (inadvertently), trying to press the Ctrl key. So since then, I have carefully avoided hitting this key, and I have not seen the question once again.

No more! Now, if I select 'Choose', I am presented with only three options: "Bookmarks Toolbar", "Bookmarks Menu" and "Unsorted Bookmarks."

Firefox continues to become more and more difficult to use and seems to be less stable. I fell that I am forced to migrate to Google Chrome. What is going on?

BTW, Firefox prevented support.mozilla.org of asking me to install the software on my computer, so I wasn't able to automatically add troubleshooting information.

I just plugged a usb2.0 webcam on my laptop with windows vista. It is loaded ok, but the device manager says that the device does not work correctly. Any ideas please.

I just got a webcam via ebay and plugged into my laptop. I'm working on windows vista. He finds and load device software right away, no problem. But I can't work. go into my device manager it tells me that the device does not work correctly. Any ideas please.

    Hi Matthew,

The first thing I would try is to connect the webcam to another computer to make sure that the webcam is not defective.

Now, check out these links and return to the State of the question.

When hardware installed in or attached to a computer doesn't work properly, it is often because of a driver problem.

  • My DVD player does not work and all the information I can find is "this device does not work correctly.

Hi, I have Windows Vista and I use a computer laptop Dell studio. When I insert a disc into my CD/DVD drive, the drive spins and it looks like it is about to start and makes the same noise start several times and then just stops. My computer does not record that there is a disc there. If I double click on the DVD drive in 'My computer' it ejects my disc and says "insert the disc in drive E".

I went on the 'repair' Microsoft online scanner and it told me that there is a problem, but he can fix it. In Device Manager, under CD/DVD-ROM readers I have Optiarc DVD +-RW AD - 7640S. Under device status - general - properties, it says "this device does not work correctly. He also says that I have the updated driver.

I even uninstalled the driver as a last resort and then restarted my computer. It reinstalled the driver for me, but there was no change. Please help me!

    Hello

Step 1: Please do all the same underneath if you did some before as is often total
a process that solves the problem.

Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double click on the device - driver tab.
Click on update drivers (this will probably do nothing) - RIGHT click ON the drive - uninstall.
RESTART this will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue
    below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a coward
cable or slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser.

Some DVD players do not use the Windows default drivers so check with the manufacturer of system and
manufacturer of device to see if there is a firmware or drivers for your drive if necessary.

    ===============================

Step 2: You have disc problems as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (CD & DVD
Burn and CD and DVD read). So it is not unusual for 1 or 2 operational so that other parts
    do it right.

Did you follow the Troubleshooting Guide for the reader who still does not work? There are some registry
entries that do not fix the resolution of problems and those who "could" be the cause.

Check with your Maker system and a device for the two possible firmware updates and the
correct registry entries for your car.

Here are the keys in my opinion, are those in question - for the CD/DVD drive of course subkeys as

Original title: program problem caused to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

On a number of attempts to install programs on my laptop with Vista home premium OS, I get the message, "caused a problem program to stop working correctly.  Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "The program closes, but I am never notified a solution, and my attempts to solve the problem have not had any positive results.  Among the programs that I tried to install are not important to me, but I really want to install Blackberry Desktop Software.  Everything seems to go well with the installation until suddenly I get this message.

    Hello

    1. what programs are they?
    2. What are they compatible with windows vista?

Step 1: Check if the problem persists in the clean boot state.

From your computer by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if a background program is interfering with your game or program. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot".

    3. on the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all device drivers and services and then click OK.
    4. When prompted, click on restart.

Step 2: Also, look for error messages in the event viewer. If you find error messages after return the exact error message so that we can help you better.

Measures to check the application event log:

    a. Click Start.
    (b) in the search box type eventvwr.msc, and then on enter.

    Hello

    (1) remember you to make changes to the computer before the show?

    (2) is that limit this issue when opening specific programs?

You can perform the following methods.

Method 1: I suggest you to run the Microsoft Fixit article.

Fix broken desktop shortcuts and common system maintenance tasks: http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/system_maintenance_for_windows/en-us

    Method 2: Run Virus Scan

You can download Microsoft Safety scanner, which provides on-demand scan, and remove viruses, spyware and other malicious software. It works with your current antivirus software.

See the link below to download Microsoft Safety scanner on the system.
    Note:
The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

    Hello

    • Have you tried the suggestions of Imran M in other post?

    You can view these methods:

    Method 1:

Temporarily disable UAC and check if the problem persists.

    1. open Control Panel.
    2. under the user account and family settings click on the "add user account / remove."
    3. click on one of the user accounts, for example, you can use the guest account.
    4. in the user account, click on the link "go to the main page of the user account.
    5. under "Make changes to your user account", click on the link "change security settings".
    6. in him "turn User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer more secure" click to deselect the "use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer. Click the Ok button.
    7. you will be asked to restart your computer. Do when you're ready.

Warning: User Account Control (UAC) can help you to prevent your computer from unauthorized changes. It works by asking permission when a task requires administrative rights, such as installing software or changing settings affecting other users. We do not recommend disable user account control. If you turn it off, you must reactivate as soon as possible.

    Method 2:
I recommend the clean boot and try to run the program.

Configuration of your system in a clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.
