• Acrobat - not visible published folios workspaces

  Hello

  I use usually workspaces acrobat to display the size of the DPS items that I create and publish.

  In the past I just had to connect to the paneln of the workspaces and all folios DPS that I uploaded can be displayed on the left under the heading Panel shared workspaces.

  I logged in today and my most recently published folios are not visible in this Panel.

  Is there something I need to do to get the folios show here?  They were always automatically available to view here without needing me to do something, and I don't think I have anything differently my DPS normal editing procedure.

  That is right. DPS servers are now independent of acrobat.com, so fact sheets and items no longer appear in the acrobat.com workspaces.  Display the size of the article in Folio producer is on the roadmap. Until it is implemented, one solution is to show the size of the file .folio for each item in the temporary folder. (It allows to create an alias/shortcut for the temp folder).

  On a Mac, it is located in > library > Preferences > StageManager. # > Local store > dmp. (With the latest versions of Mac OS, hold down the Option key and choose go > library.)

  On a PC, the temporary folder is located in [username] > AppData > Roaming > StageManager. # > Local store > dmp.

  Is it possible to create several simple edition folios and place them in a viewer?

  For example, for a University, we design brochures of the various faculties.

  Now we will combine all the brochures an application so that students can download the brochure they prefer.

  For each brochure we want to use the simple edition license, is it possible to put all the brochures (folio) in a
  Viewer (PPP)?

  Fix! To create several question viewer, you must purchase the professional edition of DPS.

  I first send this question as a "private message" and received responses that I share here. Many thanks to both Himanshu and Bob!  If someone feels like adding more information on the subject please do.

  "I am the MP Adobe Creative Cloud (one year subscription) and so I have the right to publish a simple editing through my Digital Publishing Suite application. Now, I have just been contacted by a print magazine, here in Vancouver, Canada, and I'm supposed to provide them with an estimate to adapt their publication for the iPad. Until I started thinking about my expenses, I want to know what we pay to Adobe. They have four issues per year, and I guess it goes in the category of multi-folio applications. Now the questions:

  1. can I prepare folios with my creative cloud membership or I have to upgrade to the professional edition of the DPS?

  2. my client must purchase the edition Professional of DPS or not?

  3 Alternatively, we don't need that licensed Professional Edition and if so is this license is going to be?

  4 or, I'm talking nonsense and you can just explain to me how this works, please?

  You must upgrade to DPS Professional Edition for multi Applications Folio. DPS Pro is $495 per month + tax. Also, you need to download fees. You get 250 free downloads per month during the first year and for all of the additional downloads, you will need to purchase Folio Bundle. Approximately, each Folio download will cost you $. 30, so you can arrange customer this amount per download folio + fresh contract Pro DPS.

  Now regarding your questions.

  You need DPS Pro to create multi-question Applications. With CC, you create built in simple applications. For the Magazine at least 4 numbers per year, it is better to go for the Pro version.

  You or your customer can buy Pro DPS according to your contract with the customer. You customer needs to purchase an account Apple's iOS developer.

  4 you need a contract Pro of DPS. You can create an unlimited number of applications and to report using one license.

  In this case, I believe that your customer should pay for DPS. Did you see the Getting Started Guide DPS? There is a section on the understanding of the roles and IDs.

• Why my custom workspace is not saving correctly?

  Since the last update a week or two ago, I had to redo my custom several times workspace. Despite checking the boxes so that my favorite tools are saved in my by default instead of Photoshop, it keeps returning to the default values for the application every time I open the program. The signs are correct, and it shows it opens my workspace, but I have to constantly re - choose my favorite tools (wand instead of quick selection, polygonal lasso, instead of lasso; instead of the gradient tool to paint bucket). I give the workspace a different name every time I re-do; and I remove all other custom work spaces until I re - create. I've never had this problem before. Is it me?

  This is a bug related to the starting workspace. The workaround is to disable the workspace of beginning of preferences > General: uncheck "Show 'Start' workspace when no document is open."

  I have a new MacBook Pro 15 "with all of the memory/speed I need to work on folios. I am developing several folios.

  Downloads fail in case of success or not, do not load the Folio Builder I'm use to.

  DPS is not supported in InDesign CC 2015. You will need to install InDesign 2014 CC-by-side to use DPS tools, that you have used. See download and install Adobe Creative cloud applications to learn how to install the previous version of InDesign.

  Digital Publishing Solution (aka DPS 2015) is supported in InDesign CC 2015.

  In iOS apps, you can use the custom URL scheme to post a link between folios. It works well for free folios but not as well for retail sale slips.

• iOS8 Multi Folio - error message "cannot install point.

  We are a UK using Enterprise Edition Editor to produce several folios. We publish v27, to target iOS6 + 7. Update to iOS8 and opening our application in kiosk and downloading an edition, we get the Error Message "cannot install Item." I've been reading through the various threads and can not see a final solution. Interestingly, the two Adobe mag apps I have on my kiosk (CMO & inspires) show the same error message. Thank you very much.

  You must rebuild your app v31 or v32, and try again.

• How do folio related to my application?

  I have created a folio of DPS and you want it to become an APA. correct me if I'm wrong, but I understood that when I create my app (Android) in the Web application builder, that fact that the 'container', in which my folio will be "inserted". If that's true, how can I link the folio wished to my application? I guess it happens via the account of the application that is required during the process of creation of app (in the app generator), but since I have done several folios (test) with this account, I want to make sure the right one will be bound. Any ideas?

  You must have an Adobe ID for each publication. It's the title ID for

  the app.

  The folio will be available for this application after you publish.

  My client wants to promote a folio of detail published for only 3 weeks as free (there is an important fashion event...)

  What is the best way to do it?

  (1) from iTunes Connect? Is it possible to make a variant of inapp purchase cost by using the price schedule?

  In this way the folio label in the library will display - FREE - for 3 weeks I put?

  

  (2) do not publish it as folio detail and then publish as public/free (after 3 weeks not to publish as public/free and publish as a folio of detail).

  NB: in the next few months, I have published several folios that will be free for 1/2 days and then become retail - what is the best workflow for this?

  You need not cancel the publication/republish the folio. Simply set retail in-app purchase fr and then change to a different price level, when you're ready. Apple manages the change of pricing on their end. You don't need to do anything on the side of Adobe.

• How to permanently remove the folio shared the end-user?

  Hi all

  I had several folios shared with me via an adobe ID, I don't have access to.  I would like to delete these folios shared viewer content adobe on my ipad at all times, including references to the version of cloud.  I've already removed local data, I just need to remove the reference to the copy of cloud.

  Sign up on http://digitalpublishing.acrobat.com/ with your Adobe ID, go to producer Folio and delete them from there. It's a little weird because it feels as you remove the entire folio, but you delete just your shared copy, not the original who created the other person.

  For a multi-folio subscription application we have several folio of the same program in different languages.

  I understand the only is to differentiate on the client using the library of filters (or text)?

  Yes, you will need to have different product ID and a different API for each language. Otherwise the app will examine the same Folio.

  Yes, you can create multiple applications with several folios. You can use the features in advance which connects as Bob said to create a link of one application to another portfolio.

  I wonder if someone can clear something up for me please? I have subscribed to the complete package cloud creative by phone earlier and checked with the person that I told I could do multi folio apps with it. I am putting together a magazine, so need to sell subscriptions and want to have all my grouped questions. I explained all this and the woman I spoke to said I would be able to do several folios, and the full subscription creative cloud would be the best for me to get.

  However, now I am subscribed to it, I can't seem to create multi folios. Only simple leaflets are available.

  So I'm just checking if I was misinformed? Do I need to subscribe to the professional edition for my magazine can have subscriptions? Where there's £347 per month, compared with £70 for membership full creative cloud.

  Also, if I need Professional Edition, that I have to commit on a whole year with the subscription or can I subscribe to the month?

  No, you can create applications unique Edition with your creative cloud subscription. If you want to create and submit an application multi-folio you will need to connect to a business account or a company.

  I think that you can register for the professional edition on a month to month basis.
