Alternatively, you can search your computer for malicious software:

There are some that will hide your files/folders so that you don't normally see them. I strongly suggest to run a scan on your computer with your antivirus/antimalware software. If you need to, you can also use the Microsoft Safety Scanner, it's free:

    How can I fix it?

    Hello

First of all, I suggest to remove the Chkdsk.exe or the program Autochk.exe of scheduled tasks:

Click on start > all programs > Accessories > system tools > scheduled tasks.

Click Chkdsk or Autochk in the list of scheduled tasks > under folder tasks > click Delete this item.

Also, make sure that the registry has the entrance on the right as mentioned below:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager. In the right pane the BootExecute value autocheck autochk *

Then, schedule an autocheck and see if the problem persists.

How to back up and restore the registry?

    Kind regards

  • How can I fix error d3d9.dll

How can I fix the error d3d9.dll

    Hi Antony,

    1. when exactly did you D3D9. DLL error?

2 have had any changes made to the computer before the show?

    3. what version of Windows is installed on your computer?

D3d9.dll problems result in one way or another by a problem with Microsoft DirectX.

The file d3d9.dll and d3d10_1.dll is one of many files in the DirectX software collection. Because DirectX is used by most Windows-based games and graphics programs advancements, d3d9.dll errors usually only appear when you use these programs.

Important note: Do not download the file d3d9.dll individually any "DLL download site."

Note: If you have already downloaded the d3d9.dll in these places to download DLL, remove it from everywhere where put you it and continue with the following steps.

    Step 1:

Restart your computer if you have not yet.

D3d9.dll error may be a stroke of luck and a simple restart could clear up completely.

Note: the latest version of DirectX should be installed no matter if you are on Windows 7, Windows Vista or Windows XP. Installation can include DirectX9 and DirectX10 files but they run side-by-side without problem on all these operating systems.

    Step 2:

Install the update from the link below and check if the problem is resolved.

    End-user Runtime Web install DirectX
    http://www.Microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?FamilyId=2da43d38-DB71-4C1B-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displaylang=en

    Step 3:

I recommend you perform the clean boot.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

See the following article in the Microsoft KB for more information on how to solve a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or in Windows 7
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: after a repair, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

    Step 4:

System File Checker Scan SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary.

Missing and the corruption of the operating system (like many DLLs) files are probably the main cause of the major problems of Windows. In view of this, plus the fact that the SFC/scannow is completely automatic and very easy to use, the tool should be usually one of your top not troubleshooting.

You have received the wrong information to the other poster here.

You cannot run a repair to start from a Vista DVD installation

Words, there isn't 'Repair your computer', who had already used this Option, you would find that it is a system system restore restart tool, command, prompt only.

    The other poster would like to read and learn something;

Booting from a Vista DVD gives you the opportunity to do a startup repair, NOT fix corrupted operating system files.

  • "sfc/scannow" was not able to repair some files, one or more of which must be in the path of an installation of Vista SP2

I tried to install the SP2 of Vista for a few days now with no luck. Hello

We look also at the bottom line in the journal of the SFC, not just specific entries along the way.

  • Why can't I open some .dll files?

I have an old computer a file called atmcd32d.dll that says typotheque labview vi. When I open it it shows me a library of functions of vi that I need to operate an instrument. I downloaded the drivers updated from the site of the instrument and the new file is still atmcd32d.dll, but now the guy says DLL File and does not open. When I double click nothing happens. When I transfer the file from your old computer to the new it still opens.

Do I have to extract the .dll files or what?

    TSCline-

DLL is linked dynamically, libraries.  They are a binary format that can be run only on machines from the base of the window (and not on Macs).  It should not be possible to open a dll (if you opened it in Notepad you should see nonsense).  To use the dll, they must first be compiled and linked to your OS.  Then, you must know the hooks into the dll.  In Labview, you interact with through the node to call a library function of dll, and it must know how the function is called, you can correctly specify the parameters of entry and exit (a header file will tell you which functions are available in the dll and how to interact with them).  I think you can find more info on ATMCD32D. H here.

I hope this helps.  Cheers, Matt

    3. are you referring to winhlp32.dll?

    4. don't you make changes to the computer before the show?
