shades of gray-green... & images to printing with transparency...

what I see in indesign:

http://nickdclements.com/hotlink/transparent3.jpg

What do I get when I print:

http://nickdclements.com/hotlink/transparent2.jpg

The first place is made black and white using [C = 0 M = 0 Y = 0 K = 0] [C = 0 M = 0 Y = 0 K = 100]

If I use any other method other than just K = 100 black creation, square 2, (for example C = 100 M = 100 J = 100, R = 0 G = 0 B = 0, L = 0 A = 0 B = 0) it will be green print.

Which is fine as I can use K = 100, however, if an image with a transparent background is placed above the gradient square 3, transparent surface is tinged with green...

It is a color management problem, most likely either the output profile is incorrect for the printer or you double - handle color - output setting to leave InDesing determine colors but if turn off color management in the printer controls.

  • can images with transparency display edge art object - what I'm doing wrong, how it be fixed

    Hello

With the help of MUSE CC 2014

I need to place images photoshop text (with transparency) on a full screen slide show but I'm artifacts edge around the inscription which looks like, well frankly, horrible. I do not remember previous versions of MUSE is quite as bad as this, I'm doing something wrong? Is there a trick to overcome these ugly artifacts?

PSD images are either imported SS

Thank you very much in advance for any help.

    Hi Vikas

I was falling a pds on the scene file. No other layers as transparent image and bg. I was reducing the image down in the Muse that I discovered exaggerates the visibility of image edge objects. After a little reading, it appears that there is a known issue with Adobe Muse, something to do with the algorithms that muse use images nationwide. I also think that the color of the layer has contributed a bit to the effect also.

Problem solved when I gave up the way of the PSD and rather any SS as a PNG image.

  • OfficeJet J6450 does not print shades of gray or black

I have an Officejet J6450 all-in-one, and I'm on Mac OS 10.5.8 on PowerPC Mac. I have some problems, and I didn't know the answers elsewhere.

    1. the printer seems to "mix" the colors of the color cartridge to create black instead of use of the balck cartridge ink black. A color XL cartridge lasts barely more than one, even if I do small specific color printing. Almost all my impression is based on text, however, I print interent pages here and there. In these cases, same black text prints "colored." How can I ensure that the printer selects the black cartridge to print in black?

    2. I need to print the slides for the school. I got the impression of the 'gifts' and select 'black and white '. Despite this, the printer tries to make black the color cartridge and I often find myself with green or red prints. Not fatal, but it totally wastes my color cartridge. I tried naming the color of the text in the slides as 'black' instead of 'automatic', but this did not help. Yet once, how can I make sure that the printer uses black?

    3. should I have an installed working color cartridge to print in black? I can't install 2 black cartridges?

Any suggestions are welcome. I can't believe how much ink the printer consumes. What a waste - not only my money, but for the environment. Time shop for something more effective and practical. I feel bad, even a gift this eater of ink to charity.

    THANK YOU in advance!

Thank you!! I know I have enough cheap paper, but I think the selection of paper made the rounds. At least in PowerPoint. I printed that one page, but it seems dark enough for me. I'll write again if several pages do not work.

How can I get the B & w Web to print pages?

In addition, no idea if I use TWO black cartridges?

  • Culture in accordance with article grayed out image tool. NEED HELP

On photoshop cs5, I have problems with the gray tab Image crop tool. Also, the icon is hidden in the tools Panel. Did someone having this same problem in CS5?

For harvest of command in the menu of the image to work, you either have a selection active or

a bring out the crop with the crop tool, but did not harvest.

The crop in the toolbox tool is different from the command crop in the image menu.

You can either use the crop tool in the Toolbox to crop an image or make a selection

with the Rectangle tool and then use the command crop in the image menu.

  • save images with transparent background

I cut an image in pscs6 and recorded on a transparent background and saved on my Finder in format giff. The image went to the ps, but opening my Finder it was slightly desaturated. I do not have the need to save transparent images that often so I'm not familiar with the technique. My client is looking for a 3 to 6 MB image for use in print. Cheers, bj

For printing, do not use the gif files. They are an obsolete format that supports a limited number of colors (255) + 1 color used for transparency.

PNG uses 256 colors red + 256 blue + green + 256 256 shades of gray for transparency.

As you can see png has many more colors and shades of transparency, which means a much smoother and softer image shadow brought to get an example of transparency.

Better yet is to save it as a tiff or psd, allowing a larger number of colors if necessary and support layers, layers alpha, transparency, the living text, paths, etc.

If it is set on a printer, then pdf may be the best solution.

In other words, you have many choices and the reasons not to use gif.

  • Printing with color tables.

Does anyone have an idea why the colorful shade of different parts of a table does not print after compilation? The footprints of the table, but none of the colors appear, I print to a color printer or grey. This page will be used as a form, and the different areas need to appear as different colors or at least as shades of gray. With the help of HR 7.00.145 - Lenda

    Hi zieglel

Try to print after you have made the following changes to your Internet Explorer.

    Click Tools > Internet Options
    Click the Advanced tab
Scroll down to the printing section
Activate the option "print background colors and images"
Click OK to close the dialog box

Now, print and see if you have what you want.

  • Printing with ps cc (2015.5) problem

I had been printing since I bought this Epson 3880 Stylus Pro, at least once every 2 weeks to more than a year without any problems. I print directly from photoshop, last week I printed 2 images, isn't a problem. Until today, prints comes very evil. In 2 different images green appears in the shadows and like don't muddy not sharp or details. Very hard to explain, but you can see the result of printing with an attachment. Impressions are UNEXCEPTABLE.

So I try to print from LR with a different image that I never print from LR before. And the result came out the same. Green and muddy in the shadow or the dark area... very sad... do not know what the problem is and really have no idea how to solve this problem.

    Can you please help?

Have you tried taking this image and printing of another

no Adobe app such as preview?  Are the results the same?

Have you tried this printer with another computer/device?

The last of them is important to determine if you actually have a printer

hardware failure or if there is a corruption of software/driver on the iMac.

The first step is to determine whether or not it is a problem for Adobe.

  • On the image in print quality

Sometimes, you will notice that when you print an image it does not appear as expected, the colors are just a little off - step as vibrant as you want it to. There is a reason for that, and that's because when you transfer an image on your computer the colors for the image change slightly.

In the real world and in printing, the colors come from three primary colors - Cyan (light blue), Magenta (Pink) and yellow.  Then there is black which gives depth and a sound signal (CMYK).  However, on your computer screen, you're dealing with a different method. Most of the screens are made up of small LEDs that flash at very high speed to give you the colors you see. These diodes are blue, red and green (RGB).

Now, these two color combinations are very similar, this is why there is not a radical change, and for some, this change might not be noticeable. Here is an example of printing from the computer-

While this image is superb, the tones in some areas are a little more muted due to how the file was subtly shifted from CMYK to RGB. Now, you can find the details of this image by carefully creating presets for photo through various programs that essentially make up for this change, but there are other easier methods, I found.

The first of them is to use ePrint. If you have a printer with web functionality, send the photo via email diretly to the printer cancels the transition and renders the image as it was originally. Not all printers have this feature, but it is becoming more common on many newer models often.

The other method is one that you can use your printer directly if you have a card reader / USB port. Imbernon or load the image on one of these devices you can print again directly avoiding the color conversion. This will give your images a more pristine quality. Take a look at the same image printed directly from a USB key.

Just a little more dynamic and has just a touch more in detail. To get the best quality and results, sometimes it requires outside the box thinking. Generally this method will provide you with great results without any necessary error.

However, it is important to note that if you want to convert or use a format other than .jpg, it won't work, and you try to change the settings on the program that you use to compensate for the shift in color.

I hope this information is useful to you guys, if you have any questions contact me for more help!

  • Shade of color shows ONLY shades of gray on the gradient layer...?

My color chart seems to be defaulting to only shades of gray on a gradient layer, and I can just find a way to let him replace the color I chose.  After that I created a new layer of gradient fill, when I have the layer selected in the layer list on the right side of the screen, color samples show ONLY gray.  If I click on the sample, it brings up the color selector, but no matter what color I select, the swatch shows shades of gray.  If I select the background layer, it goes back to show my color.

There's probably a simple explanation to this problem, but I was searching Google for literally hours without finding an answer.  I found some similar questions have the response "go to Image, Mode, and make sure that RGB is selected."  Mine is already set to RGB, so it's not the question.

How can I change the colors in a gradient fill layer, and why my color chart displays grayscale only when I selected gradient fill layer, even if by clicking on the color chart reveals the color picker?

To change/edit the gradient colors, double click on the thumbnail of the gradient in the layers panel fill

Then in the gradient fill box, click just to the right of the gradient word to change the colors

In the gradient editor, click one of the stages of the color at the bottom of the gradient bar and click color to change the color of this judgment

There is much more to the gradient to the room Editor to explain on the forum, so you can view the following for more information

    Using Photoshop | Gradients

The reason for which continues to show your color in levels of gray, is the layer mask is still active with adjustment layers in photoshop elements and layer masks are grayscale

  • Preview of the scanned image is good but once saved image is black with horizontal lines

    My OS is: OSX 10.9.3

I have a HP Photosmart Premium series - C309g all-in-one machine. This machine worked well.

    Print is good.

    Copy is good.

But now I have some analysis of the issues, probably due to an update of the OS.

Problem: Preview of the scanned image is good, but what saving image--> the image is black with horizontal lines.

I rumaged through the forums and you have not yet found a solution to my specific machine.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello

Scan using the software provided as Capture of Image or preview.

The application of scanning HP for your printer is not available to 10.9, you use incompatible software.

  • How to transfer a table OR scop 2D in a gray-scale image and save it

    Hi all

I have acquired a 2D array and that you want to transfer into an image in grey scale (12 bits) and save it to my hard drive but I don't know how to do it.

I can use the graph of the intensity to show the 2Darray in gray-scale image, but intensity graph.vi cannot save the image in real time.

    Thank you.

The 24 bits is a color image with 8 bits per channel of color per pixel (interlaced, if I remember correctly).  It is not a 24-bit gray level, so I don't think it will work for you.  I think that the library IMAQ (an add-on LabVIEW) will manage to 16-bit gray scale, if you can get a copy.

Native LabVIEW to work around the problem, you could also split your image into two images of 8 bits, with one image that represents the high bytes, the other down.  You could then combine them when you do the analysis, if your analysis program is capable of that.

  • reverse an image for printing

I have a printer HP Photosmart 5520 and I want to reverse your image to print. Is there a way to do it on my printer or I have to use a photo editing program. /

    Thanks Len

    Hi @race5590,

Thanks for joining the Forums of HP Support with your print request.

I understand that you use a HP Photosmart 5520 e-all-in-one printer with a Windows 7 computer and you were wondoering if an inverted image printing is an interior option selectable by software of the printer. I would like to help.

Reverse an image is not available as an option in the settings of the printer, but if you have the image stored on your Windows 7 computer, you could open the image in MS Paint and flip the image horizontally to get an inverted image.

    1. click the button Start on the Windows desktop.

    2. click on all programs.

    3. click on the folder Accessories , and click Paint to open the program.

    4. click on the button of the paint .

    5. click on Open.

    6. Once you have navigated the PC and selected the desired image file, click Open.

    7. when the image is loaded, select rotation in the section of the Image, and then select back horizontally.

    8. click on the paint button again and select record under to rename and save the inverted image.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

Indeed, if this help you to achieve a solution please click the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

    Thank you!

  • Printer with windows 8.1 compatibility

My Bank Web site allows me to view and print images of my canceled checks. When I was running Windows 7 on my LaserJet 1020 has worked very well. But with Windows 8.1 it wouldn't print the images themselves - only two empty boxes and the surrounding text. I then bought a new HP LaserJet Pro P 1102w having been said it was compatible with Windows 8.1. Now, I have exactly the same problem with the new printer. I don't have this problem when I attach my laptop running Windows 7 on the new printer. Everything I print. I short, I don't think that my new printer is fully compatible with Windows 8.1. I could not download "Full solution" to HP. How can I get it on a CD?

    Hi Flyfish66,

The most likely problem in the browser that you use with Windows 8. It's probably a different version of when you were using Windows 7.

What browser do you use? AOL?

Try using a different browser to see if have the same results. (Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer)

Using another browser other AOL then, when you download the drivers.

If you are able to print with the different browser, please contact AOL support for assistance in using this browser.

    Thank you.
