  2. do you have security software installed on the computer?

  Usually, this would happen if you have any third-party security software installed on the computer.

  I suggest you temporary disable the security software installed on the computer and check if it helps.

  The problem is that I can't access any shared folder on my home network by '\\com-name '.

  I cannot yet access the folders on the computer that is shared from the inside, by specifying there name with the prefix "\".

  However, I can ping or even make remote desktop on other computers on my network.

  I can also access shared folders on my Windows 7 Professional from other computers.

  Looks like there is something wrong with the configuration of my OS from Windows 7 Professional blocking access to any shared folder on my network.

  Wireless 5000 mouse & keyboard 3000 V2.0 Wireless both are compatible with Windows 7 so I would like to know the exact error message you received when you tried to install the driver update for the mouse wireless & keyboard?

  For now, you can uninstall the drivers for keyboard & mouse from the Device Manager and restart the computer that will install the default drivers for keyboard & mouse and check if it works.

  1. type devmgmt.msc in the search box start and press ENTER.

  2. in Device Manager, expand the mouse & keyboard listed in the list of devices.

  3. right click on the driver > click on uninstall.

  4 restart the computer. The drivers will install automatically.

  I've been struggling with this problem for a few weeks and need help. When I open the control panel; Network and Internet; "Network and sharing Center", at the top of the page to the right, I have an option to view the connections of the network (see map). The opening I find a big blue '? ', with 2 solid lines from my computers to the "?", with the word "Unknown"under the present'?", then 2 solid lines go to the router... It's a wireless network must therefore a double line broken and not solid and obviously not '? I can fix this problem by changing the Properties tab 'Advanced' from the WiFi transceiver on each of the computers. Once I click OK, the computer the fact thing... and the blue "?" disappears and the network is 100% functional. Putting computers into sleep or restart... and I have the '? ' on the respective computer which itself was removed from the network after a reboot. This happens on 4 computers on the network, all the Windows 7 64-bit, 2 notebooks, desktop computer 2!... Still problem, all corrected in the same way. Until the '? ' is corrected I show other computers in our network at the bottom of the window under the label:-"the following peripheral discovered may not be placed in the plan.» Click here, etc. etc. Once all 4 computers are patched, I show a perfectly displayed network... I'm open to any ideas...   I recently installed Windows 7 32 bit on my Lenovo Y410 and drivers work for the most part out of the box. However, I have a problem with the switch wireless slider. The switch does not respond when cold start (wireless stays off), but works very well to wake up from sleep mode. I tried Vista drivers of a Lenovo installation for the wireless card Intel, as well as the Bluetooth driver installation of BroadCom.

  Anything else I can try to install or change in the registry?

  As far as I know, this can be done manually and shared memory is controlled by the system.

  If you n t use it for games I n t see any problem here. I put t know what kind of activity you do with your laptop, but I can't imagine there is not enough memory to each day's activities.

  Is it not enough power for some operations or what?

  You can add the printer as follows: go to the folder, devices and printers, adding a printer, add a local printer, create a new Port, the Local Port, the \\XPcomputername\DJ5150sharename (use the sharing of correct XP computer and Deskjet 5150 share names), then Windows Update, and then select the HP Deskjet 5150.

  I recently bought a Dell laptop which has MS Windows 7 64-bit OS and I have an old Dell Desktop 4400 w/Windows XP I have a HP Laserjet 5000 printer is connected to the LPT1 Port.  I have the shared printer, and I can connect with my other laptop that has the MS Vista operating system.  I can't get my laptop which has Windows 7 connect and I have tried everything I can think. I connected to my laptop with Windows 7 and downloaded the latest driver on the HP Web Site.  The drivers for the LJ5000 are called universal drivers.  The drivers are installed on my W7 system and then I'll start/devices and printers and "Add a printer" option.  I select the 'look' in the network option and Windows looking for the shared Prnter and considers it.  I select the printer and it starts looking for the driver.  I think he's looking on the computer where the printer is connect anyway, it cannot find the driver.  I get a dialog box that says it cannot find and gives me the ability to navigate.  I then go to the universal driver I downloaded for HP5000 and I'm going to the folder that contains the files ".inf".  The program tells me it can't find the driver for HP5000.  What I am doing wrong?  Windows 7 supports the HP Laserjet 5000 printer.  I hope of course because I can afford to buy a new 11 "x 17" printer.
