SHIFT OF MARGIN WHEN PRINTING OR EXPORTING

When I print a document, the page margins will go through about 1/10 ". With portrait orientation, it is a change of left/right where the left margin increases by 1/10 "and the law reduced similarly. With landscape orientation margin increases and decreases from the bottom.

DOCUMENT FORMAT

1 page

uncontrolled facing pages

all bleed & slug set to 0

all margins: 0.5 "

PRINTER SETUP

Page position: centered

Use Document bleed settings: on

I get the same results when you print to a different printer.

I get the same results when you create a PDF file in the file menu: Export/Adobe PDF (Print). The pdf file appears centered on the screen, but printing the results of paper at the same post.

Using InDesign CS5.5 (7.5) VICTORY 8.

Help, please!

Got your files, and I made two changes to help test: I added a pair of rules that run from margin to margin, centered on the page (to be compared with a flange) and added a text label to show which quadrant is at the top right.

I did an export fast in PDF format and printed on my Samsung printer cheap (I'm currently not at my office), as well as direct printing of ID, where I am able to print vertical and 180 degree rotation. I pulled half a dozen or so prints, and they are remarkably constant for an inexpensive printer. The PDF and print native standing are as close as I can say the same, and both asymmetric so is weak and slightly turned the page (perhaps around 1 degree, which is probably due to the study not being loaded perfectly square, or be cut out of square).

Printing of rotation is that which is important. It also aligns biased by the same amount, but on the opposite side. This is confirmed by putting two overlapping developments oriented as they were leaving the printer and looking at one on my improvised (a window) light box. They show without offset to one another. Facing the same direction up/right there is a global offset horizontally and vertically about de.125 inch sur.0325. The real shift for each page would be half of those amounts. It is in performance expected of a desktop like this, printer +/-.0625 in both directions.

Rotation test confirms that the problem is the transport of paper in the printer, but not the file. I see similar performance on my very expensive Xerox Phaser 7800 in the office, with small amounts of derived from sheet to sheet on a long term (a real pain when printing business cards). It's just the nature of the transport mechanism to be a bit. I don't know if your HP has the ability to move the image on the sheet by the driver. If this is the case you can try that, but don't expect perfection.

  • My HP Deskjet 3520 changes margins when printing both sides of paper

When I set the margins and font size and print one page with no impression both set of sides (I use Windows 7), then the page will print as shown. If I use multiplex manual print correctly on both sides of the paper. However if I am printing two pages by clicking on properties and choose print on both sides, flip on the long side, then decreases the font size and increase margins.

Is there a way to fix this?

The problem with automatic two-sided printing causing your text to change is due to the printer by increasing its margins for the duplexer inside the printer to retrieve the page and flip it around.  It is a function of the printer and cannot be changed.  The only workaround is to return the page to the hand or adjust the margins on the front to match the rear.

  • How to add space before the content when printing or export PDF

    Hi Experts,
    In OBIEE 11.1.1.6.0.
It has a single report worth two requests, in order to show the structure of the hierarchy, I add a few spaces in front of the content, however, when I print or PDF exprt, it will be gone. How to solve this problem?

A single method (maybe it's BUG):
    Inter-generational column-> data-> treat as html Format
    Then in Edit formula, enter the following code: "< table > < tr > < style td =" padding-left: 20 ">" | "Time '." "" By name of half | "" < table > < /tr > < / table > ' "
When I print or PDF exprt, it will display the HTML to PDF.

    Second method:
Inter-generational column-> data-> Text Format gross (do not break spaces)
"Then in Edit formula, enter the following code:" "| Time '. " By name half. "
When I print or PDF exprt, spaces will be missing in the PDF format.

I try to make many methods, but can't find the right solution to add spaces before the content of the second report to see the structure of the hierarchy as below:
CombinedColumn (year and month column combined)
    2009
    -200901
    -200902
    2010
    -201001
    -201002
Note: '-' in the name of space

Is there a good suggestion or the method associated with this problem? Please help me to find or give me better advice. Thanks for your kindly help.

    Hey Kobe,

    To achieve this,

    2009
    -200901
    -200902
    2010
    -201001
    -201002

You can use properties of column-> right = Horizontal alignment and Vertical alignment = at the top, but you have multiple queries in your report. The approach is to differentiate the different levels and apply conditional formatting. Try this approach,

    1. click on the request combined so that you can see the option "Add the result column" in the left pane
    2. click on 'Add a result column', in the type of column in your time dimension column (if the column is first has type saw_0)
    3. yet once, click on 'Add column result', enter the column formula: case when (saw_0) LENGTH > 5 then 2 1 other end

Here LENGTH (saw_0) > 5 will return only the month records (i.e) 200901,200902 etc.

    4. now click on properties on the column to the new column added in step 2, goto-> add a Condition of-> conditional formatting select the column added to step 3->

    -Case when (saw_0) LENGTH > 5 then 2 1 other end = 2 then format-> right = Horizontal alignment and Vertical alignment = Top

This indentera the month right column. This will work when exporting to pdf format.

Can I configure it to print even a white border around the photo of the letter size?

Is there a way to make the color even when printing?
(without changing the story, or how things look on the screen)

If there isn't a way to do that, how about this by adding as a feature?

One way to do would be to create style rules customized for the printed output that hardcode the link colors for all of the printed output. Firefox supports two ways to proceed: a file userContent.css that you create in the folder settings, and a custom stylesheet applied using the Stylish extension.

However, 'one size fits all' could lead to unreadable results or ugly on some pages. If an add-on that can do adaptive way would be better. I do not know if someone has created a.

Because private windows have their own history, the print should not reflect the history of your regular windows.

    Thank you

Hello! Welcome to the @hiddenvalleyrv forums.

I read your post on printing problems you encounter and I want to help you! First of all, I would like to ask if I could know that you tried to print from programs and if they all have the same printing issue. Sometimes these questions are about the software you use to print from, so it is important to test print from several programs to determine where the problem comes from.

I would also like to know the operating system you use on your computer and how you have the printer connected to the computer (USB, Ethernet or wireless).

In the meantime, I suggest to do a copy to see if there are apparent problems when copying. Copy the base does not involve the computer somehow and tests the printer hardware. Please let me know the results!

Another step to try is a reset of power supply:

Press the power button to turn the product on.
With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
    Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.

I hope to hear from you!

  • How to change the region to fit on a single page when printing.

    Hi all

I am only recently starting my APEX trip (and I am sure that this is where I want to stay!) please excuse any "dumb" comments I can do!

I use APEX 5.0.3 and the universal theme.

    I followed the steps kindly provided by Christian Rokkitta on the following blog to create a tree of the Organization;

Oracle & Apex Geekery: CSS3 Pure Org-tree with APEX list

I only have a CSS and JavaScript knowledge, but did successfully a number of changes to meet our specific requirements. Where I fight, it's around areas of printing that do not fit on one page.

I tried to edit the CSS, I tried to use JavaScript to open in a new window pop up, I have drawn on Print Style sheets and am currently using a modified version of the 'Standard' page template so that I can use @media Print to stop certain elements display. The CSS before I tried to use breaks page and updated scale, but after 4 days of work on anything else, but this printing problem, I'm starting to wonder if I go about it completely the wrong way.

What is someone is able to help with the above? Basically, I need to make the organization chart fit on the single page when printing. almost as if I had 'zoom out' until it is on a single page and then print.

I have refrained to put links or screenshots however please let me know if you need more information and I'll get it right above!

    Thanks to you all!

    Richard

  • Column width set to 0 when printing to PDF format

    Oracle Application Express Version: 4.2.0.00.27

    Apex listener Version: 2.0

We have a classic report with 20 columns. Out of them, few are conditional.

We use attributes of the print to print the report in PDF format. The problem with the PDF and printed, it keeps the column width of all the columns in the PDF file, even if they are hidden. We put the column width for all columns of 20 in the print attributes section.

Can we set the column width to 0 in the PDF output for columns that have hidden due to the State?

HI - so what you are trying to accomplish? The conditional columns are not included in the PDF file. And the column width for the PDF file is set as a percentage of the available space. So I guess that what you need is for the remaining columns, i.e. those who are included, to fill the available space, but is not because even if the conditional columns are not displayed, they still use place. Unfortunately, there is currently no way to conditionally set the column width, or update the width of the columns according to the conditions. You can try your own custom report layout, or use the APIs of printing for export and under certain conditions using different presentations.

I'll take a good score to see if we can improve the logic using the layouts of integrated report to be a little smarter on the use of space when the columns are excluded under certain conditions.

  • InDesign is hampering all by printing or export as PDF

In InDesign CC 2014.2 I try to print the document or export it to a PDF file. Get it on page 26 and freezes on a document AI in both scenarios. If I print the range 26-33 all goes through and it prints or exports. IT only get the of hung up when you print all pages. If I remove the link, it gets past this page and just be hinders on something else. Same thing, if I just print or export the range that it works. There is nothing wrong or weird on the files it get hung up. What happens here?

It is quite probably a damaged chart needs to be replaced. You must go through a process of isolation first what page the graphic is one of parts of print to see what are the parts fail, then isolate to a page.

Then remove the parts of the page to see what room turns out to be defective.

  • Placed graphic is distorted when printing

My apologies if this has been covered, I could not find anything like this when searching.

    The background:

It is a ministerial question so I'm not the only one to see.

We all lack CS6 (version 8.0.1) on Mac (10.9.4-2.4 GHz quad-cores, with 12 GB of memory).

    Details:

We have placed in an InDesign file Photoshop/logo type treatment.

Is climbed slightly in ID, it is 9% larger than the native file. The logo is a PSD with a clipping path.

These files are printed on Mylar, so we need to submit the INDD file to the printer, so they can explain the stretch press.

We produce some PDFs in the House for proofing. We use a high-end printer large format, calibrated to match the sellers printing equipment. We mainly use it for matching color and proofing.

    The results:

    The logo seems in ID.

When print us it for our internal CLC printers it looks like a little distorted. But hey, it's a CLC that calibrate us so we don't trust him for a job matching accuracy or another color.

The logo seems in an exported PDF file.

Printing large format looks very good.

When we received a printer proof logo is distorted in exactly in the same way as what we see of our CLC.

I replaced the logo 6 different ways (no scaling, no shadow, without clipping path, etc) all with the same distortion.

    Everyone knows something like that?

And is there a way to solve this problem quickly (the files are at the printer in the meantime our fix right now)?

Here are some screenshots and scans at various stages of the process (it is a new product are as good as I can, and I can't provide the job file).

    • In InDesign, it looks like this screenshot
      Distortion_Comparison_1_INDD.jpg
    • In Acrobat, it looks like this screenshot
      Distortion_Comparison_2_PDF.jpg
    • To printer large format, it looks like this (sorry it's blurry, it's a scan of a print)
      Distortion_Comparison_3_LFP.jpg
    • Evidence of the printer that it looks like this, distortions occur on curved shapes that I circled only a few of them
      Distortion_Comparison_4_PP.jpg

Does anyone have an idea what is happening here?

Ask the printer why out their evidence as rasters low resolution...

  • Auto rotation when printing?

I have a two page document with a single page, set up at the portrait and a game as a landscape. Is there a way when printing to ask auto-rotation, so I don't have to print each page separately?

    Thank you!

Try to export to PDF and printing from Acrobat, use 'Center and auto rotattea' setting.

It would probably be best to set up a job like this as being bot protrait or two landscape pages, then use the 'rotation propagation mode' command to run just the other page display while you perform the layout.

  • Lines/undesirable traits around object when printing to PDF format

    Hi all

When I place a document in Adobe Indesign CS3 it seems perfect on the screen.

But when I print to PDF in the PDF file, most of the objects show the wrinkles around them.

Of course, I put the race to '0' and color 'None '. The traits do not arise in Indesign and not when printing to printer directly.

But when I save it as a PDF there are all of a sudden these traits in the PDF file.

The features appear on Indesign (example oval and text objects) objects, on inserted EPS, TIFF, PNG, and GIF.

Can someone tell me what what should I do to prevent these features around the display of the PDF object, printed Indesign?

Thank you in advance, I appreciate all help.
