  My bet is that you use a Mac and I suspect that if you restart they will work again for a time, until you start the program that takes in charge the Cmd key is taken hostage by the operating system or another program.

  I have a lot of shortcuts I need readily available and it is very annoying when they disappear without my wanting to do.  I spent hours looking for an answer and I can't change the setting on the maintenance of the system 'clean up unused and shortcuts files' - but some missing I have used very recently - in the last week - so no reason for them to be cleaned - I tink im going to send this back stupid computer and get an Apple!
