show invisible files

I use Dreamweaver CS5.5 on my WordPress (pacificcascaderailway.com) site and need to redirect some permalinks. I need to see the invisible file .htaccess to place the redirect code. How can I configure Dreamweaver to see invisible files on the server, or my local copy of the files (defined by step please)? Thanks for any help.

  • Invisible files visible in the Finder

Apple Genius Bar helped me get my files migrated from my Time Machine backup to this iMac.

The Mac seems to work OK, but I noticed that two files that begin with a point. DS_Store and .localized, who are supposed to be invisible, appear on the desktop and in every Finder window.

When I booted the Mac after having back to the Genius Bar, I have noticed that auto Terminal launched. If someone at the Genius Bar must have used Terminal to temporarily activate the invisible files for troubleshooting purposes.

These files in all windows are very distracting, so I want to disable them (make them invisible again). Advice appreciated.

Open Terminal (Finder > Applications > utilities > Terminal)

    Copy the line below

    write QLEnableXRayFolders AppleShowAllFiles No.

Coller, paste in the terminal window, and then press return.

Hold down the "Option/alt" key, then right click on the Finder icon in the dock

  • When using an accept custom attribute on an input file his show all files rather than the files that I choose (accept = "image/jpeg, image/gif, image/png, image)

Hi, I am trying to use the entry of the file accept to limit the type of file that the user can choose when downloading a file. in fact, I have two problems that I can't understand our:

     1. If i am using the value "image/*" its limit the user to all the images but if i am using a custom
limit e.g. "image/jpeg,image/gif,image/png,image/bmp" its show all the limits in the select box but the
default value for ths user is "All Files". In Chrome and IE10 its working as needed.

     2. When i am trying to limit to "swf" files using the value "application/x-shockwave-flash" its show "All Files".
In Chrome and IE10 its working as needed.

    I use Windows 7.

    Thank you.

Well, it seems you do what it says in the documentation: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/HTML/Element/Input#attr-accept

Firefox actually allow you to drop a folder that is not on the list? In other words, is the problem of acceptance is ignored, or that the filter does not display the dialog box?

  • Why filtering by "unused" shows the files that are used in the project?

Above the list of clips, I choose 'unused '.  I thought that this would be a practical way to show me the files I can delete the library because they are not used.  The thing is, I select this option, I see it shows me files that are certainly in use on the timeline, then what's the point of this?  How can I show actually files that are not used and as long as I can safely remove?

It shows the unused portions of clips. If you want to remove a clip that has any items used in a project, you're better activation of the clipping indicator used. Any clip with an orange bar has been used.

  • Look for the path just by showing all files

Is it possible to configure the LabView brose dialog box to show all files, but only allow the selection of existing paths (such as records of selection only mode)?  I have many paths to choose from and I would like the user to see files within these paths (so they know that they choose a populous path) but I don't want to select these files.

  • I have the options checked "Show hidden files", I still don't see any records

Even though I have checked options "Show hidden files", I still see no records, I KNOW that I put in place.  If I have "research" them I can see, but if I prepare a document and want to then save it in a folder known... the file will not be displayed in the list for me in the choice of where to put my new document.  Why?

  • Invisible files?

    Hi all!

I had the bad idea to play a (former) game (NFS Porsche Unleashed) for a long time without launching "as Administrator".

When I want to make a backup of my stops, I was shocked NOT to find the folder SaveData in folder of the game.
2 mini software built to change the profiles to find the folder and my profile, but I can't leave my save from them.

When finally I launched the game as administrator, he had no profile at all. I have created a new and then a "SaveData" folder appeared, but my first profile wasn't in it?
Then I ran the 2 mini software "as an administrator", and in this configuration, they found that the profile that I created as an admin too, not my first single

So my game still work, I have my profile as long as I do not run the game as admin, but I'll lose everything I did as soon as I would like to uninstall the game.

I chose "Show all files" and UN hidden files protected, but nothing happened.

    It won't change my life if I n 't find a solution :-) '.
    But if somenone could help...

PS: sorry for my bad English

    Hi Dazz32,

Thanks for posting your question on the Forums of Windows Vista.

If you are an administrator of the machine and the game in Administrator account, avoid questions like these. However, it is not the case, then it may happen that you are not able to view all saved game data.

I will recommend you to contact EA games to check how get saved games saved. You can contact the given link:

  • When defragment us, it says we have a fragmented file, why it only shows what file, so that we remove it or clean it up?

Is there a way to check what is fragmented and can we clean up or delete?

    * original title - something stupid we do not! When we defrag and it says we have a fragmented, file why it shows which file, so that we remove it or clean? *

    Hello

What exactly are you trying to do?

Disk Defragmenter groups fragmented files and folders on the hard drive of your computer, so that each occupies a single, contiguous space on the volume as well, your system can access your files and folders and save new ones more efficiently. By consolidating your files and folders, Disk Defragmenter also consolidates free space of the volume, makes it less likely that new files will be be fragmented.

I have Windows XP Professional. I followed the general process to view the hidden files and folders. But still, it does not show hidden folders. Even if it shows that there are hidden folders.
Can you please guide me through this because some important data are present in these files.

  • Show / Hide file & folder

When I restart my PC the hidden file & folders are show then I tools click folder options on the order & check "do not show hidden file & folder" click ok, and then the shadow folder does not show. I want to display the files when I don't need every time.

Using Explorer (my computer for example), put in place the window exactly as you wish. that is, with the files/folders hidden. Click Tools > Folder Options > view tab check the box to not display these files/folders. Click on the button that says "Apply to all folders" before you apply/OK outside. You will get a prompt indicating that the settings apply to all the files that open in the future. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Show hidden files and folders option does not

I'm trying to access a hidden folder, C:\programdata\... I can't see it in Explorer. When I go into control panel > folder options > discovers... the option box to display hidden files and folders is already selected.

I tried to change this option to not display hidden files and folders by selecting the radio button, and then clicking on apply. Then I exit the menu display. However, when I return to the menu display the radio button beside display hidden files. That is to say it is not "saved" change.

I changed other elements in the advanced example view menu Hide extensions of known file types, and it works very well.

I was not able to find this problem in the forum. Of course, I have restarted my pc. I don't know when this problem was that I don't often get this hidden folder.

I am running vista home premium 32 bit
