• VMDK file unreadable after migration of VM & update of the ESX Server

  Last night we have updated the ESX servers here and in the migration process machines from one node to the other (by placing a single node of the cluster in maintenance mode). During this migration, the VMs one has stopped running. When we finished the migration and had updated the ESX Server, we brought the system to the top and tried to start this virtual machine.

  First, we looked in the directory of the virtual machine and saw that the VMDK file has a different name, with - dish at the end (before hard). We have renamed the file, removing the - flat extension, and this is where we saw these messages. ESX Server always gbehaved as if the file did not exist or was unreadable.   The VMDK file is indeed the most, but VMware seems unable to open it. For what it's worth, it was also noted a .hlog file in the directory of the virtual machine on the server:

  -Flat.vmdk file is your data file where all of your actual data has been stored. Name back to the original value.

  It seems that you have lost the descriptor file (vmname.vmdk). If you have not an extraction backup the following procedures to re-create this file

• HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m wireless disconnects once the system is shut down

  I use the HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m on a Dell XPS 16 with Windows 7 64 bit. I have set the printer to connect to the wireless router Belkin isn't on the network. I have setup the printer several times and had it work wireless several times. Once the PC is shut down, the printer goes offline. I have to restart the installation time and time again to bring wireless online. I added the MAC address of the Belkin router and I have the camera had confidence in my Norton Firewall. I keep seeing "HP Network Support Automatic (delayed start)" in services, but by changing it seems to make a difference, I still need to run the installation once after the system is shut down. I see also two printer icons in devices and printers. We're just the Photosmart printer with a generic printer icon; and the second is Photosmart printer, Scanner, copier with a picture of the Photosmart which I believe it should be. I ran the installation at least 10 times and I get a good wireless system work then after that the machine is stopped for the day the printer is offline and do not print. How can I stop the printer goes offline in wireless mode?

  My printer network disconnects when my computer is shut down or sleep. I have a Samsung printer connected to a print server through a router Linksys WAG160N Linksys PSUS4 wireless. Two computers that are hard cables to the router to see and access the printer without problem. I now have a new laptop Sony Vaio (Vista OS) that accesses the router WAG160N wireless. The Vaio connects to the internet OK, but everytime I shut down the PC, the printer is offline and remains offline to the Vaio when I start again.

  Kevin, I owe you a drink. I have added the printer as a local printer (as opposed to network), entering the IP, etc print driver, restarted the computer, and... the printer remained online.   My MacBook Air 13' with OS 10.11.5 won't close (or restart) - usually. I have had this problem since Yosemite, but don't remember exactly under what version it began.

  To be more precise: current stop, all icons disappear (as usual), but the image of the Office remains active. I can always start other programs is Finder that is affected. Trying to Force Quit Finder does not help. Repeatedly (say 99 / 100 to give a number) it closed normally, but nothing in fact different... Judge without plugging anything if there's a device problem. Saute all automatic connect points. Cleaned cache and preference files dead (using Cocktail).

  Found the solution in an another tread with (almost) the same Air. Uninstalling the Wacom driver (in my case using AppCleaner) solved the problem. I wasn't the way of editing, since the latest driver for my bamboo tablet was the same version I had installed... (5.3.6-6). maybe a new installation works, but for now, I'm better of without the tablet. Thanks to click!

  Your office is frozen?   If not, stop or reboot can wait for something to finish - you close all open applications?   Allow you your system to connect to the internet (these pesky background downloads or you are not always aware of synchronization)

I have reset several times VRAM. I can do a forced shutdown, and he'll sleep ok. Activity monitor shows nothing super weird, even if it always shows Wacom and Tablet drivers running.
