Side 2 automatic HP P2055d print or not?

HP P2055d says it's automatic 2 side print, but I can't do it. Is there an error on the usaers guide?

It is easy to re - configure the printer driver to use the Duplex feature & you should be able to use the duplex automatic rather than manual option.

Go to START-online devices & printers-right click the printer driver online => select printer properties => select tab device settings (see attachment)

Under installable options change the duplex (for 2 sided) option to installed.  Apply the settings.

Try to print two-sided job by selecting 2-sided printing option.

  • HP Officejet J6480 All-in-onw automatic duplex printing does not work

My HP Officejet J6480 automatically duplex in Windows Vista. This feature is absent from Windows 8.

Y at - it a fix for this problem?

    Thank you

    Meantime2013

    Salvation Dragon-fur,

I have uninstalled and installed the software of the printer for the fifth time and for the first time, I actually saw J6480 on the registration page. Settings of the printer turned on and the automatic was still missing.

I also checked "HP Officejet J6400 series properties" and found an option that did not previously exist under device settings.

Options installable unit duplex (for 2-Sided Printing) was put to uninstalled.  I changed this option to installed and finally I automatic two-sided printing.

Thank you once more for spending your time to help me.

  • Photosmart 6510 "the printer could not connect to the server.

    Hi all.

Just try to find this sorted hope someone can help.

I am able to print irelessly of all our devices with no problems at all.

However, when I click on the control panel applications he repeats me "the printer could not connect to the verification of the server of the internet connection and try again or enter a proxy address.

I use an Imac with airport wifi router.

Doing a search in the forums and on the manuals troble shooting pages, nothing seems to work.

    Thanks in advance.

Let's define an external static IP and DNS address for the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). Yours is 10.0.1.2 a.200.  We use 10.0.1.220 for your printer.
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • HP 2549: HP 2549 and Mac OS x: double-sided printing does not work

    Hello!

I just installed this printer on my Macbook Air and I cannot print double-sided. I tried by USB / wireless (in the case where there is a difference between the two) but no luck.

I followed the advice in this post: http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Printer-All-in-One-Install-Setup/two-sided-printing-no-longer-availble-...

but I did not tab "driver". I only have "Général", "Levels of power" and "utility." I tried to delete the printer and then add it with HP 2359 and AirPrint not but that does not change.

When I print a pdf document, double-sided printed is greyed out and I cannot change.

What should I do? I already reinstalled the drivers on the HP Web site, I selected all the things that I can install it, but that has not changed anything.

    Thank you.

    Hi @blablaalf,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I see that two-sided printing does not work with your printer HP 2549 on Mac OS X 10.10. I'm happy to help with this problem!

I assume that your printer is a HP Deskjet 2549, otherwise please reply with the exact type of printer you have. To find product/model number of your printer follow the instructions in this link. Find your model number of the HP product.

Otherwise, if the type of printer you have. According to this guide, print on both sides of the paper (duplex printing). He said: this printer is not an automatic duplex unit integrated, you can always print on both sides of the page to manually reload paper in the paper after printing tray first to print on both sides of the paper.

This is the reason why this option is grayed out.

If you print on letterhead, pre-printed paper or paper with watermarks and pre-drilled holes, the printer prints first the front of the document. Load the paper with the top edge first and the side to be printed facing downwards.
  • Auto duplex printing is not available on Windows 8

Automatic duplex printing works fine on my other windows systems.  The printer Web page shows that automatic duplex printing is supported / installed.  I can do when I print from my system windows XP very well, but my new system of windows 8 is not.  "I installed the latest windows printer driver 7 and options ' 2 sides print ' do not give automatic as an option.

Is there a driver solution or something that needs to be done to get automatic duplexing on windows 8?

Duplex printing one of the main reasons I bought this AIO, so which are important to me.

    Help.

    Thank you.

The duplexer must be enabled in the driver, see the Vista/Windows 7 Duplex Printing solutions to the problems here.  Windows 8 would be similar to Windows 7 in the procedure.

  • Two-sided printing does not

I'm under mountain lion with my new hp7520 printer. When I print, I double-sided "disabled" on presentation settings, but always get 2-sided. Any way to make this work?

Thanks a lot for your help request, but I have the settings as you suggest.

After a period of reflection of my frustration, I tried something else and made a discovery that has solved the problem. I did spend printing 2 sides of 'off' to "the long side binding" and then print the document. It is printed 2 sides, as I expected.  When I turned back to 'off' (in fact, he went back to "off" automatically) and reprinted, it worked properly and printed on a separate sheet. I think that maybe the machine just need a starting aid. Yay! I hope that the problem is resolved and the printer will not return to his old antics.

  • Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?

Why my printer does not print with Windows 8?

Did you just upgraded or purchased a new computer with Windows 8, and now you can't get your printer to work?  If so, this can help you.  Many people have questions about the installation of their printer on a new OS.  This will help you answer these questions and make sure you get everything installed.

    Before you start

Before you try to install the printer on a Windows 8, you should check to make sure that the printer is compatible with the new OS.  The link below will give you a list of printers that will work in Windows 8.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03168175

If you have upgraded your computer to Windows 8 formed another version of Windows, make sure all software uninstall complete of your printer.  It should still print, but to use all the features, you will need to reinstall the software, if available.

Another thing to consider is how you want to connect the printer to the computer.

    1. USB.  You must ensure that you have a USB cable which does not exceed 6 feet (about 2 m).  Be sure to connect the printer directly to the computer.  Do not use a USB hub.

    2. Ethernet cable.  Make sure you have the network configuration, you have a free cable port on the router, and you have an available Ethernet cable.

    3. Wireless.  You must ensure that you have the configuration of the wireless network, and you have the password of the wireless network.

    1. installation Via USB

Installation via USB in Windows 8 became much simpler for users of HP printer.  In other versions of the Windows operating system, you need to launch the installation and wait that it asks for the USB connection.  If you do not, you will need to uninstall the printer from the devices and printers folder and then launch the installation.  In Windows 8, which won't be a problem.  If you plug the USB cable from the printer and then install the printer software, work remains.  Now for in depth instructions on installing the printer via the USB port click on the link below.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03521864

2 installation Via an Ethernet network connection

For an Ethernet connected printer, the installation is disconcerting.  All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network.  Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you.  Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available.  It's really as simple as that.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

3 installation Via a wireless network connection.

For a wireless printer, network installation is disconcerting.  All you have to do is to connect the printer to the network.  Once you have done so, Windows 8 will automatically install the drivers for you.  Then, all you have to do is install the rest of the software, if available.  It is roughly the same as just Wireless Ethernet installation.

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/support-drivers.html

    Alternative installation methods

With Windows 8, the drivers of many printers are installed with the operating system.  These are called pilots InOS, since they come built-in to the operating system.  If you have one of these printers, you should have to do simply connect it to the computer via USB, or connect to the network via Ethernet or wireless.  Once you have that makes Windows will take care of the rest.  There are other methods of installation of your printer if normal methods don't work for some reason any.  You can install the printer is using the printer, or through Windows Updates Setup Wizard.

    Set printer wizard:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c02681060

    Windows Update:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03460648

Note: The drivers of Laserjet for the Asia-Pacific and the Japan will come only at a later date.  See below the link support site for the availability of the driver.  I will update this post once they become available.

    Hope that answers some questions.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8610: Automatic double-sided printing

Lost my automatic double-sided printing - now it's printing of the front of the page and then he wants to get back into the tray to print on the back, which I never did before.  Please help me to get it back.

The function "automatic detection" used by some drivers during installation does not always; make sure the driver knows that a duplex unit is present on the printer (assuming that he is present):

    • For the instance of the printer in question, bring up the printer properties dialogue.
    • Select the device settings tab.
    • Make sure the duplex unit is set to installed and not installed.

You will probably need to be logged in with administrator credentials in order to change the settings of the device.

  • HP ENVY 5530 e-all-in-one: HP ENVY 5530 e-all-in-one will print but not scan

    Hi @Mrkil1o1,

Welcome to the HP Forums! I'd love to help you to scan from your 5530 craving for your Mac. I understand from your description that it worked well when you have 10.10, but since the upgrade to 10.11 you can print but not scan.

  • LaserJet P1102w: Double-sided printing will not turn off

Even if double-sided printing is NOT selected in the printer properties, printing all ask for double-sided printing.  So if I go to print a single page printjob, the computer asks to have the blank page that was 'printed' just to get back in the tray.

How can I get this fixed?

    Hi @Skunkeeper,

Welcome to the HP Support forum.

I understand that you use a HP LaserJet Pro P1102w printer with a Windows 10 computer and when you try to print a single page, the printer ejects a blank page and ten invites you to put in the tray, so the second side can be printed, even if double-sided printing is not selected. I would like to help with that.

This really looks like a software problem. I would like to start by running this HP print and Scan Doctor. It is a tool that allows you to diagnose and solve the problems of printing software and printer.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance.

In fact, if it helps you to find a solution, please click on the 'accept as Solution' and the 'thumbs up' buttons down below in this message.

    Thank you!

  • 5600: my 5600 printer will not print from my computer, but it will print a test page

Hi I bought this printer new from 2016 Christmas e - bay.  But for some reason any I have no guarantee.  Everytime I try to use it there are problems.   So I rarely print anything.  Still, it prints pages test but never with one less word documents an hour for me to play with her or photos.

I have a Dell Latitude 7 windows, 64 bit. I've done everything asked is why I get the test pages. Even disabled my firewalls.  He loses the connection to the network, but my wifi connection is 150. ??

Can someone please tell me what to do, I can't afford a new printer now.  I have months of ink cartridges HP I've ever used

Y at - it a cord that I can buy to do this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    HI, thanks for the response.

A few reports have been generated automatically & they were incomplete, due to the questions - I then called Xfinity (Comcast) to see if they could help because my wifi router/modem is through them.

He told me my DNS numbers were wrong & gave me their numbers, I had to hang up for an appointment.  Later that day, I changed the DNS numbers but it still does not.

And for some strange reason, he would not save the old DNS numbers in the report.

What I ended up doing was a complete uninstall & reinstall everything associated with the printer.  Despite recording only not all parameters (I wanted all the parameters to be entered automatically) the new DNS numbers were there & I couldn't get rid of them.

So I did a restore to get rid of the Xfinity DNS numbers.

"But instead of using my password I pressed a button on the modem Xfinity so he would automatically find the printer.

Now, it works fine. "the next time or if I have another printer, it's the only step I'm taking.  He automatically added my password and I guess that numbers correct DNS.

Thanks for the offer of help.  It's very appreciated.
