• Dealing with purge of one voice channel to another Podcast. Chaining aside?

  I recorded a podcast with a new audio kit episode. 2 dynamic microphones in a blender, recorded on hearing CC via USB with a microphone on each channel.

  Now I'm editing it I found that a speaker, Mark, is quite much stronger than the other, Ben, and Mark can be "heard" by Ben's mic.

  CH 1 - Mark speaking loud and clear the voices.

  CH 2 - voice gentler Ben. Crosstalk between Ch 1 is quite noticeable.

  As a result, purge of Mark in Ch 2 creates an embarrassing mixture echo when he speaks, and Ben is not. If I solo Ch 1/Mark, her voice is nice and crisp with no echo. When Ben talks to himself, the mixture is also nice and crispy because it is not strong enough in the room to mic effect mark.

  What is a good way to deal with this? I played a bit with chaining aside some dynamics processing (I'm totally new to side-chaining). It is 'ok', but it's a bit hit and Miss, in some cases when Mark and Ben call string active side Marc Ben DP, cut him too.

  That explained everything well? Hard to explain something when I don't know the terminology to explain it is!

  I guess every studio with 2 people or more on pickups in the same room must have this problem of "purge". How he usually treats? Next time I record, I think I'm going to try and move the microphones away from each other at first.

  Well, chaining front side I think I might try a simple noise gate.  Carefully put in place on the channel which is picking up 'the other guy' it might work for you.

  However, if an "automatic" solution (door chain or noise side) does not work for you, and it could never be perfect - be prepared to go through and manually adjust levels manually.  You will be surprised how quickly you can get with a little practice.

  Long term, you're always better off trying to avoid this kind of problem at the time of registration.  Simple things like choice of microphone and positioning can make a big difference, as can moving your speakers a little further out.  Assuming the use of directional microphones, putting the microphones back to back to use dead spot in picking model... and mobile people a little father goes to use the "inverse square law' might well give you what you need without a lot of treatment.

  Looks like a great app for a compressor.

  Install the compressor on the synth channel online and have the input of the side chain linked to your drum channel. Adjust the parameters of the compressor (threshold, attack, release, ratio) of taste.

  The custom toolbar contains 3 bitmaps in the side chain and the left text right.

  Three images are created using the bitmap.

  I get the focus on the full range.

  But I want to focus on the first image, image1 when the application runs.

  If the user navigates the screen using the keyboard, change of focus to the next image, which is image2 and so on.

  How can I do that.

  Remember that the BlackBerry smartphone focuses on a field, not a picture.  Your toolbar is only a field, so one thing to focus on which is the Blackberry's.

  You have two choices:

  (a) change your toolbar to be a Manager and have several fields that it contains.  You can make a HorizontalFieldManager and assuming that the other things are set correctly (in particular the width of the fields that you add) this will do what you want.

  (b) substitute events in development movement in your toolbar to make it appear focus is moved.

  I think the second option is more difficult, especially when you start to take the touch screen into consideration.  However, with the second option, you get a much easier control over the look of your toolbar.  But I'd go with the first one, as I think it is easier for new programmers.  Initially, I wouldn't get to hung up on the appearance of the toolbar, get it works the way you want and then try to get it looking right.

  We are currently working on an initiative to translate our application of PLM4P for the Chinese language.  For the moment I seeks to introduce a Chinese version of our terms and conditions for the supplier portal.  To do this, I need to know what language has been selected by the user on the Welcome screen.  On the login screen, I see that the 'lang_login' setting is available in the query string, but it is not transmitted to sp.aspx (after her hit "login").  Looks like a simple enough task to add this parameter, but I can't seem to locate where sp.aspx is submitted.

  Anyone know where I could find that call so I can add the parameter of the request for access on the other side chain?

  In SupplierPortal\login.aspx.cs, when you click on "login" PLM4P will redirect to SP.aspx without parameters. But the value of 'lang_login' was recorded in PlatformHelper.Platform.ApplicationManager.TranslationManager.CurrentLanguage. Is also useful for you?

• Auto level music under voiceover?

  Sorry, but I don't even have the right words to get this feature. Google failed me this time. I use hearing to only a few specific things and I'm certainly not an experienced user.

  Someone on the Premiere Pro forum wondering if Premiere Pro has the SmartMix with Premiere Elements feature. Apparently, he turn that music down to account for the voice, keeping the overall volume of the same.

  While Premiere Pro does have it, looks like maybe hearing could have such a thing?

  Is there a way to focus on a lead rather than another and keep the overall volume of the same? I imagine the speed of the ramp upward and ramp down the volume of the music should be adjustable. I can certainly tell them how to do it manually, but perhaps hearing has such a feature to do it automatically?

  The effect you are after is called 'Dodge '. For this you need "side chaining" an item available for your software. Hearing can do all that, but it's not simple to implement. This video tutorial should help you.

  Radio stations have a piece of hardware that automatically reduces the volume of the music when the DJ starts talking and it then automatically triggered upward when the DJ stop talking.  What do you call this device?  And someone make a version of the software of this unit, preferably in a plugin that can work with the AA CS5.5?

  Usually they have a compressor on the music which the input signal is supplied by the speakers microphone.  In the DAW world, this is usually accomplished through the support of "Side - Chain Input" where a VST effect that affect content on track B is triggered by the release of the track has.

  Audition CS5.5 can't stand the side effects to a string, but this support was added in hearing CS6.  CS6 also includes models of session designed to facilitate this with predefined titles and effects of routing environment.  ("Radio VO with music Dodge" model is the best example.)

  You just need to install the certificate root certification authority that signed the certificate of CASs. If the CASE certificate is self-signed, you just need CASE certificate and have that installed in the stores of the root of the client machines.

  Please check with your client is supported on its machines and how. Check on an affected machine to see if they have the certificate root in their store or not.

• Front side bus and processor very slow speed on the Satellite 2800

  I acquired a 2800-200, and it was running very slowly.
  Sandra 2002 shows the speed of processor as well as 199 Mhz FSB as 26 Mhz. A CPU speed test confirms it. How do I (I can) fix this?

  Wow, this must be a very old unit it s not I known but thank you google I ve found some details ;)

  It seems that the unit has been delivered with a processor Pentium III 700 MhZ and 100 Mhz FSB.

  I m not 100% sure about this laptop, but the new units are delivered with the TPS (Toshiba Power Saver) that controls the speed of the CPU. If the temperature rises and the cooling modules are not longer able to cool the system the CPU speed CPU should be cut to reduce the temperature.

  I think you should check these settings on your laptop and also check the cooling fans because sometimes the dust and debris to prevent the circulation of air.

  FSB is relevant CPU and I really don t understand why you associate it with the RAM.

• Memory Bus speed

  I have 3 portable C771US.  Each of them has 2 GB of memory (2 x 1 GB of DDR2-667 PC 5300).  If I make a diagnosis at startup, the system shows the bus memory running a 533 MHz.  Everest shows the real clock of front side bus to 133 MHz with an effective 533 MHz clock.  It also shows memory bus clock properties real 266 MHz with an effective 533 MHz clock.   Everest has also indicates that the memory factory runs on the timing of the SPD to 266 instead of the programming of schedules for 333.

  The mobile Intel 965 Express GM chipset and processor T2390 supports an effective bus of 667 MHz (real 333 MHz clock) speed.   HP also has required as PC5300 DDR2-667 memory running at 667 MHz (333 Mhz).

  Why has HP/Compaq strangled the speed of the memory on this laptop model?  This seems to be the result of a bios incorrect memory calendar/type definition (not accessible to end users).

  I guess that's the reason for the low side of Windows Vista experience from 4.4 to memory.  As the graphical subsystem sharing the main memory, the graphics score 3.1 (3.3 games) is probably lower than it might be as well.  As this is a portable value, I can only assume that the parameters used by the BIOS have been forgotten or were a conscious decision of marketing in order to protect the higher finished goods.

  I hope it wasn't the last.  What about an update of the bios to remedy or better yet an update of the bios that allows the user to adjust the memory timings.

  My mistake.  T2390 processor has a speed of 533 MHz fsb.  I accidentally lifted the incorrect CPU specs. I upgrade the processor to reach 667.

• CPU frequency and bus on Satellite M30 is too low

  The processor and my Satellite M30 bus seems to be significantly under speed. According to Windows XP Pro and Solaris Nevada, the processor is clocked at 600 MHz. The frequency of the BIOS, scaling parameter is set to "Still high", and I tried to disable ACPI in the operating system (ensuring no interference on the software side), without result. Power in the Toshiba Power Saver settings are all maxed out, so no scaling should be there either. Intel Processor Identification Utility reports the following:

  Reported expected
  Speed: 1.60 GHz GHz 0.44
  System bus: 400 MHz 294 MHz

  Note that the tool uses algorithms to determine the speed, rather than trusting the value returned by the operating system, that one of her aims purposes is testing for fraudulenty CPU overclocked by OEMs. The speed as it is for me is even more disappointing. I don't know how long it has been like that, but one thing to note is that the motherboard has been replaced last summer.

  Edit: I also loaded the CPU with CPU-Burn to see if some heavy loads would get understandingly frequency. It has no effect.
