silent fan

yet of the fan noise after cleaning all the dust

It's not clean or you will have to replace it.  They wear out, especially if you allow to run for long periods of time.

  • Fan is still running on the Satellite P300-275. Size fans?

    Hi all

I just bought a P300-275, which looks like a very good machine. But I have the problem that the fan always works, even when I only surf the web or even when the computer is idle. And this fan is quite loud.

    So I tried the following:
    -J' installed xp
-J' tried to notebook hardware control (which does not work under vista with this laptop)
    -J' tried rightmark clock
    -J' tried speedfan
-J' tried different profiles with the 'Toshiba power level.

Nothing works. I looked for a solution on the forums and found nothing so far.
I tried to launch my P300 on two "ice" (the things you put in the fridge and keeps the cold), but that market is not.

My last idea is to change the fans. Could you tell me the size of the fan (s), please? (so that I can look if I can find more "silent" fans for this size?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

Cooling modules are developed and created exactly for this model!
You know that laptops cooling modules are not always the same.
Every laptop supports layouts of different motherboard and extends. Amount of space available inside the laptop is always different.

I don't know what is the size of the cooling modules installed, but what I know is that these cooling modules are only compatible with this series of laptop.
If the other modules will not match.

  • X 220 - fan constantly on / revving up and down

    Hello

I put the X 220 today, and I'm going hunting here:

There seems to be a problem with the fan. He always seems to hover at about 90% capacity even if the computer does nothing. It would have been acceptable, except for the fact that it will run at the speed of 90% (estimate here) for 5 seconds, then rev to 100% for 1 second, and then to 90% for 5 seconds, then to 100% for a second. It is very irritating.

I think that this is related to the BIOS for two reasons:
    1. all professional reviews kept mentioning how quiet the machine is online. It's not alone by any means. Maybe their review machine had an older BIOS which do not exhibit this problem.
    2. This happened during the installation of Windows, which, of course, not all drivers use, the Lenovo Power Manager is not the culprit.

    # 2: the question of the fan can be resolved by putting the fan setting in Lenovo PM program for "dynamic noise fan reducde" instead of the other two options. Then the fan will be silent. But why can't I use the other two options? Why should they do the fan running at full speed all the time? This is why I think that it is a BIOS problem at hand.

When the tests take note: switching to "reduce the noise of the fan dynamically" reduces the silent fan and you can then switch to the two other options and the fan will stay quiet. But it will only stay quiet for a minute or two, then rev at full speed. Then be not hasty in thinking of switching to reduce noise from the fan dynamically and then allows you to use one of the other options without excessive noise.

  • T60p - clean the fan and now is noiser

My started fan gets loud if I open my laptop and he cleaned. Put it all back together, turned on and now it's even stronger than before. Any suggestions as to the cause of the problem? The laptop itself works fine btw just the fan is to be extremely strong and operating at 3000 + rpm and the cpu is at 48-50 degrees celcius.

Right now I'll take off again, see if I did something wrong. Any other comments or suggestions on a soultion would help. Thank you!

Yes you're right, it doesn't seem to be one. At the moment I took my laptop apart again and I disassembled the whole fan and put a lubricant on this area. It seems to have solved the problem at the moment, just as quiet when I bought. I ordered a replacement part, but it seems I've done be silent fan for now.

  • Sizes

I'm about to build a new system (Re: build PrPro PC / DSLR 1080 p)

Quick question about the case. I have a box of round full size of... oh, let's say 2001. It's an ATX, this large beige monster of my former recording studio.

Obvious that it i ' l need to replace PSU and such that everything is perfect. My question is if I should try to use this case with a well-designed system of new fans or if I have to buy a new case, of average size with an additional cooling system.

It's not like a new case is a lot of money. I just don't care about cool red lights in the fans and stuff like that so if the former stop will work, I'll just use it.

If the former stop has several fans, it may be good to use. a new case can have more/better fan options and sometimes its material damping. the design of fractal Define R5 is such a case. It has up to 4 spots of fan for input and another 3 for the exhaust, but I think that it only comes with 2 fans. You can move the 2 accompanying at the front for absorption and add a pwm for exhaust gases to the rear. If your reader m2 is mounted near the pcie slots, or if you use a pcie adapter or the 750 pcie intel heatsink with heat, you can add another fan of suction on the side panel to give ssd's fresh air and prevent it from overheating limitation. fan controller or adapter low voltage using the integrated can silent fans too. using fans pwm back and the processor on the motherboard will keep quiet them until needed to spin upward when the cpu is under load.

  • T61 issue of Fan: turns silently to the POST, and then never...

    All,

Any thoughts on what is happening here?

I have a T61 with a 15.4 screen "and the Intel video subsystem. After about 10 minutes of operation under Windows, the system shuts down, and after that my wife brought this to my attention, I have observed that there is no flow of air coming out of the vent and the underside of the computer is very very hot. Fan death, right?

So, I open the T61 upward, leaving the trackpad and keyboard connected and turn on, hoping to check a fan of bad/loud/clogged. Well, the fan starts spinning at the POST and it does so freely and so in silence, and after a few seconds, it turns down, never to go back to the top.

There is no error message FAN ERROR on the screen at the POSITION either.

This seems to be more a problem of controller fan than a problem real fan.

Someone at - it advice or ideas?

My gut reaction is that simply replace the fan will translate the new fan does exactly the same thing, but maybe someone can put me straight or share their experiences similar here with me.

    Thank you

    Warr

Turn down the fan after POST is normal, but it should turn on again during or after startup.

Please check the fan side, if they are blocked by dust. Block the propeller fan with a match or tooth-pick and blow compressed air from the outside through the sides into the heat sink.

You should also take a look under the radiator and replace the thermal paste on the processor by a new. You can leave the thermal pads if they are not damaged.

  • Studio XPS 1640 does not start. No bios, no control of fan. Volume + / illuminate, flashes of silent light...

I have a Studio XPS 1640 (model PP35L) that will not start. Fires along the sound card light upward from left to right and back (as it should), but then stops. Them increase volume and low lights stay and the mute light flashes.

The cooling fan is not test, or do anything else. Nothing on the screen or the other.

I have re-seated ram to check it was OK

A Google search is supposed to replace the motherboard. I did this and the problem persists.

Someone at - it tricks, tips or advice please?

    Mike

Thanks for the reply! The problem was a crooked PIN. Once I straightened the PIN and reused thermal paste the laptop worked perfectly. I don't know if I did it, but I didn't have the old motherboard to see.

    Thank you!

  • 101 Kira - cooling performance messages fan speed

I am the proud owner of a 101 Kira may 2014, but in the course of 3-4 months, I have known problems more and more with the cooling fan on the ultrabook operating at very high speed and being very noisy, even when there is no processor intensive applications that run on the device.

I have received several messages saying that cooling perfomance of information system is available - but when I run the cooling tests tells me that is no problem?

The device itself does not seem to be running hot or give any other indication that the fan must operate at such a rate to cool down the unit

If anyone has experienced this problem with this model of ultrabook or have any tips on what I can do to stop what is happening? Is very distracting in a meeting when my laptop otherwise silent suddenly starts sounding like a rocket is ready to take off!

    Kind regards
    Graham.

You could start the the Task Manager and in the process tab, you will find all background applications that would appeal to the CPU.
Click the CPU column to display all the processes of loading the CPU.

However, you can also try to change the option of cooling method that is available in Windows Advanced Power options.
Go to control panel → power options.
Click here on the power plan that is currently in use.
Then click on advanced power options and access the cooling method.

Here you can change it from active to passive.

In addition, you can decrease the status of CPU max at 90-95%

  • Noisy fans of satellite Pro A300D-151

    Hello

I have a year old Satellite Pro A300D-151 which make a lot of noise compared to other computers.
When I bought the computer he had 32-bit vista, but since I installed windows 7 64-bit on it.

Sounds of noise like a fan work, but the computer is not hot, and you put your hand in front of the fan air outlet, you do not feel the air coming out. Anyway is to know what causes this problem and fix it?

Please, all the answers are appreciated

Try it please set the method to the minimum level of cooling. Laptop runs much more silent than before.

  • Fan noise and satellite R20

    Guys,

I bought the Satellite R20 tablet pc with the intention to take it to my classes. There is a serious problem, though – the top fan is REALLY loud, it fits like a turbine sometimes - and disturbs the whole class.

Is any way to solve this problem and make the laptop to run in silent mode?

Also, I have problems with the battery... it will hold only 1 h 30 minutes MAXIMUM.

Overall, I am very disappointed with the purchase, the device is SO bulky! :(

Thank you much for the help.

    Hello

Sounds like the fan needs to be replaced, or it has something stuck inside.

Take it to a service center authorized to repair.

So I want to fix for current use.
Maybe someone can help me fix / change the fan, I am qualified in computer repair, but I Don t know how to do with a laptop especially with mine.

    Sebastian

    Hello Sebastian

Is maybe your laptop full of dust and must be cleaned.
After cleaning it laptop can take a new breath and material can be cooled properly.
With an air cooling pure grill will not be blocked traffic and the fan may operate at high speed.
Once this laptop runs much more silent than before.

    What do you think?

  • Tecra A11 - 11 L - fan still working

I already turned on eco mode and 1 core CPU temperature is 22 ° C and core 2 is at 15 ° C.

I have even an SSD in this laptop, so it should be cool and silent. Cold air comes out of my laptop and the whole case is still warm (really, I hit the computer laptop while at the top of the page down, everywhere!), but according to PC Health Monitor the rest fan continues to operate at 50%! It is certainly stronger than my old laptop.

Is this a problem with my laptop, or the A11 series has this problem?

You come in on the problems
I put t see any problems
The fan operates at 50% and therefore the temperature is low
If the cooling module would not go, then the temperature would be much higher

In any case, you can check the Win7/Vista power management.
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=41

In power management, you can set the performance of cooling on the lower level.

I also recommend updating the BIOS. If a newer version is available, and then run the update.

    Welcome them

  • Re: Satellite A300 - fan does not work after installing Win7

    Hello.

I did a new install of Win 7 pro 64-bit, and after it does not my fan, not at the start or in Windows. To check if it the fan itself was broken I re-installed Vista instead and the fan worked again!
Installed new Win 7 but now it's silent :( I checked in the BIOS (latest version 1.80) but I couldn't find any option here. Am I missing a driver or something?

My Satellite canned extinguishing because of this, so I would really appreciate help :)

Hmmmm... really strange. I use Win7 32 bit on my Satellite A300-1LI and it works perfectly.
Maybe a stupid question now, but have you tried to use the 32 bit version?

You have also installed all the Toshiba drivers Toshiba value added package (includes the Toshiba power saver tool)?
