Simple method for another server videos
I am a newbie to FMS and I tried searching forums, as well as Googling to do this, so please forgive my ignorance.
I've got:
-Already installed FMS on XP with IIS server
-Video FLV, residing in a folder on another server
How do I:
Videos of the other server where are the videos?
Thank you!

UTL_FILE for another server, how
Hello
Anyway is it easy to write with utl_file Oracle MS file on another server? I rea on some Java applets for that but maybe there is something try that. I have no html, xls, xml, or whatever it is a txt file flat simply with a formatting, kind of report.
I'm just learning that utl_file can write on the database server, not the client. In my case I have to create the file and send it as a result of customer and looks all DBAS don't like make files on the server of the Ora, this is common?

DBMS_FILE_TRANSFER for the Oracle server to the Oracle server copies files.
Between an Oracle server and a non-Oracle server, there are two methods:
-ftp
sftp/scp
-Samba (Windows network drive/CIFS mappimg)
-NFS (network file share)
-rdist (cable - sync'ing a directory of remote server to reflect a local)The "+ best +" one of them would be sftp/scp because it is one of the most secure interfaces. Rdist can be run using the scp.
I'm just learning that utl_file can write on the database server, not the client.
Fix. And that's the word limitation UTL_FILE . All the entries of file on any platform is possible only for local file handles. There is a way to write to a remote file not magically... Consider the standard appeal fopen() taken I/O supported by the majority of the nuclei.
In my case I have to create the file and send it as a result of customer and looks all DBAS don't like make files on the server of the Ora, this is common?
Stupidity of your DBA IMO.
We stock a large number of text files (output of command line of devices containing configuration data), the CSV files and XML as CLOB files in Oracle. We generate also "files" as a CLOB in Oracle - using the database in the main storage for these 'files '. Delivery of these 'files' (stored as a CLOB) are usually via http (via WPG_DOCLOAD) or via ftp/sftp/scp (using custom PL/SQL packages).

String error 42 - VI method for controls server Unflatten
Try to use the VI-server method to save and retrieve values from control. Get a generic error 42 when using the name "minimum value" but the Vi works fine if you use a name "minimum values" conrol Vi clos can pass (using S1) between two control names to show that the error is in the difference in name. Is there a way to solve the problem or if another method to save and retrieve orders be used.
Attached VI is in LV2010 sp1.
Thanks for your help.
One thing you can try is to disable the option "Convert EOL" functions to write to a file text and reading of text file. As you save binary data as a string, you want to ensure that binary data is stored. It may be better to use the binaries, instead of text files, because you are trying to save and load binary data.

Simple player for VmWare server?
Hello
I'm under VmWare server 2.0 on my desktop Ubuntu, I often need to configure new virtual machines to test.
My qyestion is: is there a quick way to run a VirtualMachine (for example the player) or I have every time to start the server? Can we install VmPlayer with VmServer?
Thank you
The Player and Server products fit together. However...
On the Web console VI for the virtual machine, there is a command to create a shortcut on the desktop. When you double-click the shortcut and enter your credentials, it will open a console for this virtual machine. If the virtual machine does not work, it will be started. Or you can use the vmrun utility.
Close the console doesn't stop the host, of course. If you want to stop it, you will need to use the web console to VI, the vmrun utility, or just simply the guest to close.
Good luck!

What is the recommended method to configure a web proxy to another server on the LAN?
Hello
I use Server to manage incoming web traffic, but also have another server running I want to use outside.
I work in directly modifying the site configuration file and adding the ProxyPass and ProxyPassReverse directives but these overwritten when the site configuration is changed in the.app
I want to implement this in a way that is not crushed and is more robust.
Any advice would be very welcome.
Thank you
Gary
I'm certainly not an expert in the field, but I think you can do what you're asking using the functionality of the Web application.
You bring a plist to webapps folder and a conf file in the apache folder and then using.app, edit your Web site, and then click Change advanced settings and select the Web application that you created. It should not then be written more if you make any changes.
The content of the conf file would proxy information in it:
# of http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_proxy.html#proxypass
RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond% {HTTPS} = off
RewriteRule. -[E = Protocol: http, E = port: 8000]
RewriteCond% {HTTPS} = we
RewriteRule. -[E = Protocol: https, E = port: 8010]
ProxyPassReverse / http://secondserver.example.com:8000 /
ProxyPass / http://secondserver.example.com:8000 /
and the plist would be something like this:
<? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "UTF-8"? >
<! DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0 / / IN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd" > ""

Concerning
I don't think the resources without the dDocName specification will work (for example [!-$wcmUrl ('resource', ")-]).
At some point, the code path probably leaves the SiteStudio component and goes back to the core code WebCenter content to fetch the revision. It seems that it is where he meets a problem (impossible to find the last out for review).
If you turn on additional detailed complete tracking for site *, file * and system * this gives you a clues?

For 'Post online', these files can be exported to another server?
Hello
I'm about to create a newsletter for a client (print version), and they want an online version. The feature to publish online looks great and works great, but my client wants to host the files on their server and not only on the Adobe server. Y at - it an option to publish the files to another server? The only alternative I could think was "Save as web page complete" on the web page so that all the files/folders should be saved in a folder, but that did not work.
I need to let my client know immediately what the options are so I hope someone can answer this as soon as possible. This question has probably been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer. The "Export as html" option since InDesign is not the answer, but publish it online works fine, just can't find out how to get these files to another server. Thank you!
Right now you can have documents published online on Adobe servers.
The documents cannot be protected, which may not be important for a society newsletter.
They can be viewed by any browser on any device and can include InDesign interactivity
The link of the URL can be sent to readers, you can share via share (FaceBook, Twitter, Email) and embed the code on a Web site. You also have the ability to allow the user to download a PDF version.

==================
By Dave BridgesMove a database from one location to another is conceptually very simple.
However, you must be extremely careful or the migration fails. There are
two basic ways - a logical and a physical examination - to move a database. The logical method is to create a new empty database in the new location
(target database), perform a complete export of the original database (source
(database), and then import the source database in the target database.
This article assumes that you have decided not to use this approach. For more information
on export and import, please see the Oracle Server Utilities
Guide for your particular server. The physical approach involves the cloning of the source database. This method is
very similar to a backup of the database offline. The steps are:1 back up the source database control file in a trace file.
2. a list of all your data and redo log files.
3. perform a "clean" source database shutdown.
4. copy all the files of database redo log files, file init.ora and trace file
(from step 1) the location of the source to the target location.
5. change the file init.ora target and the trace file.
6. start the target instance.
7. re-create the control file, retrieve and open the database. Each of these steps is explained in the following instructions.
Note: The following instructions assume (1) you already have the server
installed in the location of the target, (2) all parameters are already set
environmental target and (3) If you use NT, you must
already created and started the services necessary for the target
database.1 back up the source database control file in a trace file. To connect to
the source via open or SQL database * more using an account that has the
SYSDBA and SYSOPER DBA role he conceded. Run the following command:SQL > ALTER DATABASE BACKUP CONTROLFILE TO TRACE;
This will create a text file that we will use later. This file will be
written in the subdirectory named by the value of the USER_DUMP_DEST
parameter.2. a list of all data files and redo log files. It is absolutely
essential to know about the names and locations of all the files of data and redo
the log files. To do this, run the following queries:SQL > SELECT file_name FROM dba_data_files;
SQL > SELECT Member FROM v$ logfile;
The first query will give the path and name for each of your
data files. The second query will give the same information to redo all the
the log files. Be sure to save this information for future reference.3. perform a "clean" source database shutdown. A clean shutdown is
are necessary to ensure that all data files and control files
synchronized with the latest transactions. What follows
commands give you a clean shutdown:normal stop;
stop immediately;
Shutdown transactional;Note: The shutdown transactional is not available in Oracle7.
4. copy all the files of database redo logs trace and the init.ora file
target file to the location of the source to the location. With the help of the
information collected in step 2, copy all the data source and redo log files
files to the target location. Also copy the file init.ora and the
trace file generated in step 1 to the location target.5. change the target init.ora file, and the trace file. Using a text editor
revise the init.ora file to reflect the new values for the target
database. It will be change the paths indicated in the settings
as CONTROL_FILES USER_DUMP_DEST, BACKGROUND_DUMP_DEST and all
another parameter that specifies a path/file location (see annex 1
below). Similarly, we must change the trace file. This file contains
the CREATE CONTROLFILE command we will use in step 7. You
will have to change the paths for all data files and redo log files
to reflect their new location (see attachment 2 below).6. start the target instance. Once the init.ora file is changed, you can
Start the instance. However, since we do not have control files.
You must use the following command:startup nomount;
7. re-create the control file. Once the instance is started, you can create
your control files. If you saved your file of track under mytrace.trc, you can
now create the command files by running this file as follows:@mytrace.trc
This script will create the control files, perform a database recovery
to resynchronize the control file with the rest of the database, and
Open the database. Now, your target database must be open and consistent. There may always be
some remaining tasks you need to perform, such as the creation of a password for the new file
database or create/update a listener on the node target. These tasks are
beyond the scope of this discussion.Attachment 1. Example of init.ora file

Binds the exportXFAData(); method for the saveAs event
I have an XFA form that was built with LiveCycle and I try to write javascript to Adobe who will export the form data to an XML file whenever a user manually saves the file in Acrobat. Preferably, this feature is easily sharable, because I have clients who need to have this ability.
I'm a novice, but it seems that the interactive objects are grey and so I can not add a custom button. That's why I hope to link the exportXFAData(); method for the saveAs event. When a user does CTRL + S or file > save (sub)... the XML should be exported to the desktop.
It seems that I have to use the exportXFAData() or exportAsXFDF() method. I found something that says: " it is a very simple process to do this, use the method saveAs Doc object... " and copy the following code:
this.saveAs ("/ c/temp/test.xml", "com.adobe.acrobat.xml - 1-00");
I do not know where to write this code, or if it must be adapted (not to mention that the path) to accomplish what I asked above.
Thank you very much,
Carl
It does not export form data, as far as I know, but another schema. There is a different method for acroforms export but I don't know for XFA forms. You should check the reference XFA JavaScript, not google.
The example you found is not in any way binding to the SaveAs event. Rather, it uses a special feature of the document.saveAs method that allows you to save/export other formats instead of PDF, such as file options > save as. The code generally added to a button, but do not work (see below). I don't know if you can run this in an event WillSave or similar, that; s a separate exercise.
Don't forget to read the XFA JavaScript document for this method since it will have security restrictions designed to stop incorporating any kind of back up/export to a file - because think havoc if a PDF file that you have downloaded begins to silently save/export the files to your computer. Do not try to use acroform rather documentation! And I see that what you quoted DC Acrobat SDK Documentation applies to the acroforms.
For more specific help, I suggest the LiveCycle Designer forum. We are dealing here Acroforms.

Configuration of SQL 2008 R2, Enterprise Edition for vCenter Server 5.1
Greetings to all seasons.
Kind of a newbie here. That's my lab environment.
I have always used the vCenter Server install Simple option that also installs the shipped Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 Express edition.
Now, I do an eval of vSphere 5.1 and I want to manually configure a database server using the Microsoft SQL 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition.
I know how to install the database server and it works. But I do not know how exactly set up a database for vCenter Server.
I looked at the guide Configuration / Installation of vSphere and I don't seem to be able to follow the preparation vCenter Server databases section, because I'm not a person to the database. Y at - it any other guide or a blog, I can follow? I searched a lot and found everything I was looking for. Thought I would ask here.
Here are the virtual machines I have.
Lab - DC1 (domain controller)
Lab - DC2 (domain controller)
Lab-SQL1 (SQL 2008 R2, Enterprise Edition)
Lab-SQL2 (SQL 2008 R2 Enterprise - subsequently configure failover clustering)
Lab-VC1(vCenter Server 1)
Any help is appreciated!
Happy holidays. Here is a link to another site with a nice installation guide for SQL 2008 for VMware. Version 4.x, published in lonesysadmin.net was very helpful, so I'm sure that the 5.x update (have not read through it again) must be all too packed with useful tips.

Vcenter replacement with another server?
Hi, I have a client who has there VCenter server as a physical box on windows xp. The box was funny for a while acting, needs to be restarted often.
There are only 3 hosts ESXi with HA installation, nothing really more than that.
So I was planning just on VCenter running on a virtual machine with windows server 2003. I don't want to convert the physical area more because he has all these problems, so I want to do a new installation.
I was hoping I could just install a fresh VM on VCenter, then simply add the ESXi hosts for it. Is it as simple as that.
I don't to lose performance data. HA is easy to configure again.
So what happens when I try to add an ESXi host that already belongs to another server Vcenter? Im hoping it let me know and just made me add a new and Rob configurations such as the old HA off the server information. Is that what happens?
Hoepfully that makes sense.
Thank you
Mike
Mike,
First of all, Remove your old VC ESXi server. If you don't like that, this box is of course out of cluster. So adding the same server ESXi in another VC and configuration HA & DRS is not warn and do not threaten you.
The above suggestion is reserved when you don't care HA configurations and performance data.
Happy installing!
Thank you

Hello
I installed OEL6 on VM to the blade server. We use Citrix for virtualization. Problem is that since the installation is done on the server without any VGA monitor card attached so Linux got installed without GUI. Now I need to install the Oracle database on this virtual machine. I believe that X-Window is necessary at least. I installed X Windows System and the Gnome desktop environment. Now when I run gdmsetup it does not work. I installed tigervnc on the server and updated the iptables for also made of changes in the gdm configuration file, but when I try to connect from my computer Windows XP using Tightvncviewer error, it throws firewall rules. "Unable to RRs data socket. My windows Firewall is disabled. I disabled the firewall and SELinux on the server, but that did not help either.
I just need to be able to access the linux VM since my machine windows in graphical mode. I, therefore, ask you to help me set up.
Note: The startx command server throws this error.

Access to multimedia files from another server problem
Currently I am working in a project with streaming video on-demand and using FMS 4.5 .
" Say the FMS is installed on a machine say ' 121.123.35.34 ' and there is another server"100.54.88.222". where all media files belong Now we need point to this third-party server to play videos of FMS. I did the changes below:
In the fms.ini file: set VOD_DIR2 = \\100.54.88.222\myvideos
In the application.xml: added stream: streams >/HR; ${VOD_DIR2} < / flow >
My request for access to the path of the flv as: source = "rtmp: / / 121.123.35.34:1935/vod/hr/test. Not able to access the video.
Note: If I say "C:hrvideos" in VOD_DIR2, then I'm able to access videos using the same URL.
I also tried mapping the path shared the machine to the FMS and then saw the drive mapped path in the VOD_DIR2, but it does not work.
Please let me know:
- If we set up any other parameter videos from another server.
- VOD_COMMON_DIR: I modified this similar to VOD_DIR in the directory "C:hrvideos", I am able to stream videos with http, rtmp, but not the jet of abl eto.
Please let me know we can disseminate via http too as we need to run the f4m manifest file.
http://121.123.35.34:8134/vod/hr/sample.mp4.
http://121.123.35.34:8134/vod/hr/sample. F4M
Thank you

Hello
For RTMP: Try mapping to another server.
For HTTP: Yesy you can change the DocumentRoot directive, but then it will search for content in this folder for all types of applications and not just HDS VOD.
To configure only HDS - VOD, positioned on the HttpStreamingContentPath:
Change this HttpStreamingContentPath '... / webroot/vod " to HttpStreamingContentPath" C:/hrvideos "
Note that the location is now absolute and oblique. Likewise, you can put in a network address.
Thank you
