  • Add "Site Search" Google Analytics

Part of the powerful reports Google Analytics includes key words which were consulted on a Web site.

This is a snippet of code that they include in their support page:

When users search your site, their queries are usually included in the URL. For example, if you use Google to search on the phrase mountain view, you see q =(the Google query parameters), followed by your query:

    http://www.Google.com?hl=en & q = Mountain + View ...

If your site uses categories, the same principle applies. You can also contact your webmaster to determine the setting of application for your site.

However, on the BC sites that include the results of the research there are not such a URL parameter or research.

On the site, I'm looking to add search measure on is:

    http://o2lpm.com/default.aspx?SiteSearchID=-1 & ID = / website/Search

Does anyone know the setting correct search at the entrance in order for Google follow the keywords searched on your site correctly?

Perhaps a little late in the day now, but I was watching it today and managed to find what I consider an elegant solution.

According to the analytical Google Help Center:

Post-base set up Site search for search engines

If you use a search engine post-base, your search result URL would look like:

    http://www.yoursite.com/search_results.php

You have two options to use the Site search to search post-basé engine:

Option 1: Configure your web application to add the keywords of query at the end of the URL (for example, http://www.yoursite.com/search_results.php?q=keyword) and then implement Site search as described in the previous section.

    ====

Thus, by adding some javascript to the search form you can simple add the search term in the URL of the results page.  Like this:

    onsubmit = "processSearch (this) ' action =" / Default.aspx? SiteSearchID = 2846 & PageID = {module_oid}& keywords =' > '.

    {module_searchresults}

.... Now, when the results are displayed, you will see the URL, default.aspx? 2846 = SiteSearchID & PageID = 9219352& keywords = London.  So you can now set this within Google Analytics

  • I'm looking to build a simple site to accommodate a large number of photos.

    Hello

I'm looking to build a simple site to accommodate a large number of photos. The site is not for a standard wallet - it's just that my team can look through a set of images as thumbnails low resolution and be able to download the versions high-resolution individually on the site. A simplified version of this: | Agami

If we could, we would like to also password protect these downloads or the site itself.

Does anyone have advice/tips/ideas/widgets which could help with this? I am aware of sites such as Photobucket etc however I have a decent level of experience with Muse and site, I thought it's maybe cheaper out in this way that the necessary storage volume is pretty huge.

    Thanks in advance!

I am very new to dream. I created a simple site that worked very well. I tried SEO booster and was checking on things different (for example Goigle webmaster). I don't know exactly what I did, but now when I type in my site it tells me that the page cannot be opened because it was redirected too many times...? Help, please!

Let me add some details to the choice in the scenarios you have for the use of domains.

The areas are to simplify all kinds of activities on the Internet for users. Instead of addressing your email to go to the software from e-mail server to a computer with the IP 113.78.59.238 number, users can simply run their mail to "hannah" @ "gmail.com" or go to the website to "gildedgraces.com". This makes things a lot easier for users, but requires a little more difficult techniques backstage, because Internet computers connected and hardware (servers, tablets, phones, refrigerators) have only single numbers, not names. So, how internet needs to know which computer manages all emails for "@gildedgraces.com", and where physically this site 'www.gildedgraces.com '? This is where the "Domain Name Servers" kick in. They maintain long lists of these domain names, with references to the IP numbers correct and up-to-date. In this way, technicians can also easily Exchange computers, servers, connections, where a site is moved to another host, or when a server suddenly collapses. These things will happen, things have to change. They want to update certain IP numbers in the list on the DNS servers. I have it?

So in order to get a Web site running, you know where your domain registry database is guarded and kept safe, and where your Web site is physically located.

Note the difference between DNS (or servers) and the service (or Web servers) throughout all the instructions and documentation.

Now, have a look at this PDF that was returned by Brad, in his response above.

The domain name can be registered at any domain provider and the registry itself is not always need to reside there. You could relegate (you might say "move" or move) the registry for the DNS to another provider (like BC) service. In such a scenario, he must tell the provider holding the credentials of your registry, to redelegate it in British Colombia. That's what the article 4 in the PDF file. And of course, BC DNS service can internally so all applications for this field to their own web server.

You can also choose to keep your current domain provider maintains the registry, but that their DNS servers before any request of this area on the web servers of British Colombia, where your site is published. This is typically a necessity for registrations from non-American, since many extensions of national domains (such as .nl and .de) can be recorded by suppliers outside of this nation. So the registry simply cannot be moved to an American company (it's a legal thing). In such a situation, article 6 of the PDF comes into play, describing what BC would normally internally: to the domains of the physical location of the Web site.

  • How can I add a Site Search box?

I just upgraded my subscription webMarketing BC and I'm wanting to add a search box in the site to my site but I am having trouble with the indications found on the Adobe website: Catalyst Business help | Add a site search box.

My first question is just a point clarification #4 under ""create a page to display the search results " "

    4. in the editor, enter {module_searchresults} where you want the results appear on the page.  What exactly is the editor? LOL is that just the page Adobe Muse and I use the text tool and create a box with "{module_searchresults}" inside? "

My next, more critical question is:

Add a search box to a model

    1. Open the template in edit mode by selecting Site Manager > models Page and choose the model from the list of models. My Admin of the "Site Manager" a BC page on the left - but when I click it - it shows that "Web Forms" and "E-mail system" I have no option for "Page Templates".

So, how 'Models of Page' will appear.  I'm sure that my 'webMarketing' subscription allows for a site search box... maybe I'm wrong.

    Thanks for any help!

The Publisher is the WYSIWYG editor in the admin of BC himself.

The important thing to know is Muse: British Colombia isn't, this isn't the only thing you use to make a site of BC, far from it. It's a really basic tool to build basic websites. The instructions that you will find on the BC docs will never reference how to do for Muse, just BC, or you can use your own code editor.

So you need to connect to your site administrator and then you will find the pages, models etc.

    Thank you in advance.

In order for a search for "anything" form field, the content of your site should be indexed and stored in a searchable database sort.  If you do not build a dynamic site with programming & databases server side, you will need to use a product service or 3rd party software.  HTML alone cannot do that.

  • Added Site search in the Menu bar

Hi guys, if someone could point me to a tutorial on how to add a search feature on the site to the bar menu (see photo) - it would be great...

    Google Chrome.png

I understand that I may use a tag to display the results.

    Thanks in advance!

    See you soon

    Okay here's what 'do '...

    • First create a div in your menu bar to old search engine and your CSS float right.
    • Create the search...
      • Site--> Site Search Manager
      • Follow the instructions to create the search form, and then select what you specifically want to search for.
      • Agreement creating the research takes place
    • Now, I create a door content (optional - but I do like this in case I want to easily add research elsewhere)
    • Open the new holder of the content in the admin (or dreamweaver)
      • Click Add modules to the button on the page
      • Select the search for the new iin the admin panel or the Commission of British Colombia in DW
      • Select the search form
      • Select the search form to use
      • Click Insert
    • This method also adds the tag search results as well. Simply remove the tag of serach results
    • Now insert the holder of this content in the div that you created in the navigation bar.
    • Fact.

I dragged kicking and screaming in the development of the site by the needs of an important customer, and I am trying to create a very simple search of a database.

I use DW CS4 with PHP & MySQL on a Mac (Leopard) using MAMP.

I have created two pages for the task.

    (1) an HTML page with a form using the method 'GET '.
    (2) a PHP page with the recordset to filter 'postal code', ' begins by "'Parameter URL' or 'postal code' and sort by 'the company' 'Crescent '.

Run a test of the Recordset works very well.

During the test, however in a browser (Firefox and Safari), the postal code appears in the URL string when you arrive at the results page, but no results.

When I do not apply a filter to the Recordset, all the records displayed in the results page perfectly.

I'm still more gray (gray?), so any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much.

    I've sorted it.

  • No way to choose Web sites/search engines while clicking on any suggestions.

Sorry for the bad English.Suppose I want to complete a long query by clicking on the suggestions below in the search bar, but my default search is set to google search, but I wanted to look in other research/Web site (e.g. youtube). When I click on suggestion it will open Google search for my query but I wanted to search in Youtube in the first place as older versions of firefox. This isn't a big problem, but clicking on result of suggestions in default search, then I choose where I wanted to search(eg-youtube)... Waste a lot of electricity if all people in the world will look twice by request.

Hi Snakesingh, in this hunt, you will need to select the right one-time-searchengine with the tab key before clicking the search suggestion...

  • Why site search help results instead of only web site results.

When I search something in the search box of Firefox Help, I have the results all over the web (with sponsored results) not only site-specific responses. I noticed this on several other websites as well. It makes no difference if I just click on the arrow or the search for the button of the site.
The search engine is perhaps fed by an external server which now has decided to give answers off-site as well as specific answers site?

The removers spyware has not helped. Then I typed about: config in the toolbar URL and then sought an "intermediary". I have reset the default of all values that containedconduit.com or the led - services.com. Search of each function then returns to normal. Then I also reset all references of "Community Toolbar" that contains "intermediary".

I hope that someone will stop these people.

  • When I open a new tab, it does not make to the top of my home page. It opens another page of sites search engine.

When I click on the new button tab, a small cross, opens the new tab, it displays another page in search of sites, not my home page. I can't find the place where to tell him to open my homepage on all new tabs that are open from the tab bar.

The basic build Firefox always open a blank page when you open a new tab.

Maybe some Add on that you have changed this feature of Firefox which opens now all tabs in a different page. Here's what you need to do.

Open Firefox-> go to Menu help-> select "restart with disabled modules.

Firefox closes, then it will open with Firefox comes from base. The tabs will now open to a blank page. You can enable add-ons again and check if its not working properly.
