Since ipad2 at m1217nfw hp wireless printing

My pro m1217nfw laser jet is connected to a home network and printing problems of portable and desktop wireless, but I can not understand how to connect my iPad 2 to the printer. The iPad can't see the printer even though the iPad is connected to the home network and a web site says get the update of the firmware, but I couldn't find that. For a relative no touchy person, can someone give me a step by step describes how to print from my iPad on this printer? Thank you.

Hello

You can print from your iPad using the AirPrint feature.

Indeed, the firmware update is necessary and you can download the firmware below:

http://ftp.HP.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL32625/bi-95165-3/LJM1130_M1210_FW_Update.exe

  1. Check that your printer is turned on.
  2. Run the update of the Firmware from your desktop or PC.
  3. You should see your printer listed, and then click update firmware.
  4. Be sure to not run any action until the progress of the update complete. It may take 5 to 6 minutes and you should review the printer in ready state is disabled.
  5. If the printer off, wait 2-3 minutes check any process was completed, then turn on your printer.

Now, you can use the AirPrint feature and should see the available printer.

For instructions for use, you can follow the document below:

Kind regards

    Hello

Another option if you encounter problems, make him print the password is disable password protection. You will be able to do in using of frontage on the printer and find the menu option that relates live wireless. When you find it, clear apssword protection.

Once the logic of direct apssword wireless is disabled you should be mean to connect the printer directly without the need of a password.

  • LaserJet m1217nfw mfp - Dungeon print wireless failing / falling on Mac OS 10.7.5

I installed my LaserJet m1217nfw mfp at least 4 times during the month using my Mac running on OS 10.7.5. The first time was with the CD supplied with the printer, and the last was 3 times with the latest version of the software downloaded from HP.

Each time, wireless printing is set up and works without a problem (using these official instructions from HP: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48mLZoRjJm0). But a few days later, when I try to print the same Mac Wireless, it does not find the printer on the network. And nothing on the network or router has changed.

It is quite frustrating. I doubt for the 5th time will solve the problem once and for all.

    Any ideas much appreciated!

    Hi SC_W

I understand that you keep losing wireless connection.

I have included a document for printer is not maintaining the wireless connection.

To configure the static method IP go to step 6: your HP product of the assign a static IP address.

If the printer deposits the wireless again follow step 4: perform a power reset on the HP product and a wireless router and then restart the computer.

    Hope that helps.

  • Mac Book Pro and HP Envy 110F wireless printing problems

I got my Mac book Pro for Christmas 2013 and initially had no problem printing wireless to my HP Envy 110F, but for some reason, I keep getting problems with printing to the envy of 110. We don't have printing problems with our Ipad for this printer.

I can connect the printer to my Mac book Pro by putting 192.168.1.72 IP address in a web browser, but I get on the symbol bit offline when I print the urge. Last night I reinstalled the printer to print wireless on my mac pro book using a printer cable, which then worked well, but today the same problem reappeared.

I'm starting to think that the problem may have started with the latest version of the update of the operating system to the Mavericks 10.9.4.

    All thoughts welcome.

    Hi @UKCheshire

Since you are able to print from the iPad to the wireless printer, I suspect you have to something. I think that the question has something to do with the communication between the printer and the computer and not between the printer and the router. Please use the following document to solve the problem; "Printer is off-line" Message appears on the computer and the printer does not print: Mac OS X.

If the problem persists, do not give up hope, let me know and we will work through it together.

  • Cannot connect my HP 6520 wireless printer

I have this printer for less then a month, and although the scan is slow and printing is well it worked fine. I have recently moved to the University and I can't connect to the internet.

Everytime I try, it says ' unable to connect. Unsupported authentication or encryption type '. I can connect to my iPhone and the Macbook Pro perfectly fine without any problems, but I can't seem to connect to the printer.

I really need to work, given that I paid a lot for it and it does not only have less than a month.

Can someone help me please? I have no information on the router, since it is the wifi at the University.

Well do you have an Ethernet connection in your room?

    Options: Choose only one.

    1. connect the printer to your computer via the USB cable from the printer (not just a USB cable... a printer USB Cable).  Connect wireless to your network of schools.  Recommended.

    2. If you have an Ethernet connection in your room, you can connect to your computer via an Ethernet cable and you can now use the printers Direct wireless for wireless printing.

    3. switch back and forth between your schools network and wireless SSID Direct printers to print wireless.   This option would be less convenient.

  • Cannot connect Windows XP to the wireless printer.

WINDOWS XP PRINTER WI - FI CONNECTION

I have Windows XP Media Center Service Pack 3 OS that worked a HP Photosmart Plus B209 a - m with a USB cable.  Since I just bought a new laptop (Windows 7 Professonal OS) I decided to create a home network with a router Cradlepoint MBR 900.  The two laptops (XP and 7 OSs) were connected to the internet via the router with no problems.  Windows 7 Pro OS laptop is connected wireless to the printer Photosmart Plus, I had implemented as confiquiration wireless the printer first.  But the failure of the attempt to get the OS Windows XP Media Center to connect to the wireless printer.  During the installation process to connect the printer to the XP system wireless it asked me to choose which printer I wanted to connect to.  The Photosmart Plus printer was selected and visible, then I clicked Next.  Shortly after, a small screen appeared stating the "serscan.sys" file could not be found and I have to insert a Windows XP Pro CD to get the file or run the installer of this file.  This issue has occurred both when I tried to install it with the CD provided by HP and when I tried installing the HP download website.  All I have is a recovery for Windows XP disk provided with the laptop and not a CD Windows XP Pro.  What should I do to fix this?  Thanks, Lonnie

Thanks, that was fast.  Please, let me make sure I have this correct.  First of all, I have two recovery disks provided with the computer, with Windows XP Media Edition and one for the drivers.  I should not use either of these disks, right?  If I had the previous correct answer then let me ask the following question;  When looking to borrow the disc should be Windows XP Media Edition or can I borrow any disk of Windows XP?  Kim Merci for your help continues.  Lonnie

    Lonnie,

Before the hunting around for friends who might have a CD, do the following research.  For each of them, make sure that you have checked the search options in the 'Advanced Options' to

    • Search system folders
    • Search for files and hidden folders
    • Search subfolders

Search your entire hard drive and both CDs you have to serscan.  Do not include the .sys at the end of the file name.

Search for Driver.cab.  Report of the Office (s).  On your hard disk, you should find one or both

    • C:\Windows\i386\Driver.cab
    • C:\Windows\Driver Cache\i386\driver.cab

You can also find these files on the "recovery disk".

Report what you find, including locations of found nothing.  It is possible (but I don't think likely) you will find a file named serscan.sy_ - If Yes, include this information in your results.

Or, if you want to ignore all this, you can download serscan.sys since my SkyDrive-->

    https://SkyDrive.live.com/redir.aspx?CID=18b259158254905b&RESID=18B259158254905B! 225 & Thierry = 18B259158254905B! 214

The file should go to C:\Windows\system32\dllcache (a hidden directory) and probably in C:\Windows\system32 (I do not use this file, if it is not in my system32 folder).

Or you can just save it to your desktop and "direct the Setup" it there (if you do this, check more later to confirm that he got into C:\Windows\system32\dllcache and if not, put a copy).

  • Canon MX870 - need to reinstall the printer for wireless printing, whenever I reboot computer

    Hello

I had my Canon MX 870 for almost 4 years now and have always printed wireless. A few weeks ago my printer started to appear offline when I started my laptop and the only way I could get the printer back online was to remove the printer and reinstall the software again. Since then, every day, I have to remove the printer and reinstall the software and driver in order to use the wireless printer.

I tried all known bugs and nothing has worked.

Does anyone have suggestions on what could cause this problem?

    Hello.

The issue you describe seems to be linked to a timeout between the router and the printer.  In this case, he should be advised that you turn the printer off and on again in order to refresh the connection to the network.  I apologize for the inconvenience.

If additional information is required, please call us at 1-800-OKCANON.

    Hello

All my tests were using Windows, but I think we can do it for Windows why not Mac. It takes config of the printer as a wireless printer (IE to connect to a network) and install drivers, or applications on OTHER computers and mobile devices.

  • HP Laserjet Pro P1102w printer: HP P1102w wireless printer will not pair with a SBG6782-AC Motorola Wireless Cable Modem Gateway

I already had Internet AT & T U-verse using a Wireless Modem Arris IPDSL NVG510 gateway.  My laptop HP running Windows 8.1 and the HP LasrJet Pro P1102w wireless Prnter systematically and automatically connected to the wireless network NVG510 with no problems over the past two years and the wireless printer works without problem.

I recently replaced the Internet AT & T U-verse connection a connection of Mbs Comcast Xfinity Intrnet 25, using a Motorola Arris SURFboard SBG6782-AC Wireless Cable Modem Gateway.   My HP under Win 8.1 Pro laptop connects to the network and access to Internet without any problems what-so-ever.  However, the HP LaserJet Pro P1102w wireless printer connects to the wireless network and I can't print at all from my laptop.

I would be very appreciately all help experts in this Forum.  to get the printer working wirelessly, since we also wireless print to this printer of IPads and other wireless laptops.

    Hi @Atmasin,

I see that you have trouble connecting the printer to the new router. I want to help you.

I would like to reset the printer first to clear the previous network settings.
Turn the printer off, press and hold the wireless button and cancel (x button) while turning the printer on and do not release both buttons until the printer stops making the noise.

Print a configuration report and check the SSID address and IP are disabled.
    Print a Configuration Page.

If the network name has spaces or special characters, the printer may not recognize it.

The printer is able to send/receive in the 2.4 ghz band.

If it is set to 5 GHZ network, you may need to change to 2.4 ghz. (rename the 5 ghz or turn it off)

The WPA key setting must be on AES to work properly not TKIP.

    Multi flow must be enabled.
Router firewall must be open for printer ports.
If you have Mac filtering give you printer hardware to meet the needs of the Configuration page.

You may need to contact your router company to get help to check these settings.

Try to run the Configuration Wizard wireless of the HP software to set up the printer on the network.

If you appreciate my efforts, please click on the "Thumbs up" button below.

If you have any questions, please let me know what steps you have taken and the results. Thank you.

  • RT of Windows cannot locate the wireless printer

I have a new Surface Windows RT (not 8.1) and I'm unable to connect to my printer wireless on my home wireless network.  The printer (Brother MFC-J625JW) is listed as a compatible printer Windows RT by Microsoft and brother.  My printer is on, visible on my laptop Windows 7 via the wifi network and works normally.  The Surface is connected to the same network.  I entered in the control panel > adding a device.  The printer does not appear in the list.  In fact, the only thing that appears in the list (momentarily) is someone from another PC - but not my printer.   How can I get the Surface to find my wireless printer that seems to operate other devices normally and is on the same wireless network?  Thank you.

Success.  The wireless printer now appears in the "Devices list".    The breakthrough came after installing the Windows Update screen Firmware updates.  I had already updated for Windows RT 8.1 (after my original message) from the window Store (free), but that has not fixed the problem.  I then went in the Panel, search the Windows updates.  Windows found 27 updates of firmware update that it installed.  2 reboots are needed.  After that, the printer has appeared in my list of devices.

    In response to your questions:

    1. & 2.   You are right: it is the MFC-J625DW.

    3. never checked directly connect USB since the Surface RT (now 8.1) was showing the printer.

    Thank you.

  • Wireless printing works, but kills internet

I use an Officejet Pro 8000 A809n for wireless printing.

I recently changed routers wireless since a Mac Airport Express to a NetLink.  I restarted the printer setup.  It works now, but every time I use it I can't access the internet more than any of my computers.  First of all, I have to turn the printer power off and restart the modem and router and then I'm back in business.  This procedure of course deny the convenience of wireless printing.  I would appreciate knowing what to do.  I think it has something to do with the allocation of IP numbers, but I don't know much at all.

    TIA

    Rick

We will set an IP address of the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.
