  1st problem: using the TWAIN software, I am unable to change the resolution of the documents I'm scanning. It displays only the 300 and the menu drop-down does not offer any other parameters.   2nd problem: the ADF is VERY picky. If the paper is inserted at the stop, it will not pick up and will keep scanning out of the original glass. I usually have 2 or 3 times to find the "sweet spot" where it will actually be a new Pick-up analysis.

  I must say, I was very happy with this product when we got it first, the web interface with the drivers loaded on the printer was a great feature and the installation for each machine went very smooth. However, lately this device became more complicated than a time saver.

  1. click on settings

  2. remove the checkmark of "Display the dialogue from TWAIN to allow cropping and low sweep"

  3. click on the drop down arrow to adjust your ppp settings

  My printer has stopped printing wirelessly from my PC (but prints OK when connected with a CAT5 cable). My PC is connected to the router (BTHomeHub) wireless, I can browse and enter in the config. My printer says it is connected to the router with the identifier SSID is correct and past Network Test Wireless HP on all points. I got the impression of having a fixed IP address in case it was a DHCP problem and a static IP address reservation in the router. However, in the router settings advanced, the router says the printer is not connected and I cannot ping the router from my PC. It was working fine until recently. Any ideas? THX.

  I used to be able to print wireless from my macbook Pro (OSX 10.8.3) on my Laserjet P1006.

  I can still print if I connect via USB, but as soon as I unplug the window ' print and scan "says that my printer is offline.

  I have a big problem. We have a network HP LaserJet M4345 MFP printer. It is connected to a switch and the switch is connected to a Modem of Telmex.  It has a static IP address. 5 computers to connect to this printer, but I'm going to use one as a sample.

  The problem is that I can't print anything.

  • I can install the printer in all computers
  • I ping the printer
  • I can access the printer configuration using a browser
  • I can even scan a document

  But I can still print the test page. We have a static IP and it does not repeat the IP address, the host name is unique and date everything is fine. I tried to ping to test for the default gateway and it a ping with a correct response time.  So:

  • The configuration of the printer can be accesed via browser
  • The computer can ping the printer
  • I can scan a document to the PC
  • The printer installs very quickly in all machines
  • The printer can ping the default gateway
  • The IP address and the host name are unique

  What could be the problem? I tried to print in all the machines without success.

  It is possible that the network adapter has a problem but since it's your only work around would be to buy a direct jet EIO card and put in the EIO slot in the back near where the network cable is plugged.  They are fairly cheap on ebay and you want to buy a 610N, 615N or 620N one of these models will work.  You must assign an ip address that is different from the one assigned to the integrated card.  I think that there is a way to disable the built in network card, but I have to carry out additional research on that.  If you have an old hp printer that you do not use with a network card eio, even if older 600N it will work in this printer.

  Fax to PC works only when the printer is connected to USB. If you need to fax to pc, you will need to connect the printer to the computer via the USB cable. You can also see the other post for this problem on the link below. Let me know if you need help.

• LaserJet P1102w: Router reboot printer wireless problem cures - why?

  Ive had this printer (P1102w LaserJet) for a year now. Sometimes its been very well, other times as recently happened constantly offline. Its driving me crazy.

  I just read online that can help to restart the router and the last two times, my printer went offline, restart the router has healed (power cycling of the printer, by running a utility that stops & starts the spooler - did any of these things).

  So my question is - why reboot the router to fix this? Both times I was surfing online with this same router, and I have not noticed any problem with this router. And secondly, is there a setting that I can change into my router so that it will not goof the printer wireless?

  OK, I'm about ideas.  I suggest check the firmware, there is a version 20150114 which was released end of March 2015 available here.

  It can also help to go through all the steps described in the paper here.

  If none of these solves the problem I will ask one of the HP support officers rush in this thread, they may have some additional suggestions.

  Welcome to the HP Forums!

  With the indicator (blue up on one) flashes slowly, it means that the printer is not connected to your wireless router. When the light is lit in blue, this means that the printer is connected to the wireless network.

  To start, I suggest to unplug printer form the rear of the unit for 30 seconds, then plug the power supply back in. Then, you will need to reset the default settings. I've included the document "reset the printer to factory default settings".

  Once this step is completed, you will need to uninstall the printer software. I've included the document "uninstalling the printer software.

  Now once the installation is complete, you will need to install the printer software. When installing the printer software, you first need to connect with a USB cable when prompted, but you will be able to configure the parameters by installing wireless. I've included a link to "Full Feature software and driver".

  Please let me know if you are able to print wireless following the steps above.

  Hi all trying in vain to connect the printer to a wireless router. USB connection to the router; router, Asus DSL N55U; configuration of the router page lists the active printer. That's all.   I have this issue sorted by myself earlier today. Here's what I did. I have reset the printer by cutting the power supply and leave it unplugged for a few minutes. I've deleted all the software my laptop prnter installled. As opposed to the connection via USB, I connected through the ethernet on the printer port to one of the four ethernet ports on my router. Then I powered and immediately noticed a light on the router indicated connection through one of the ethernet ports. My wife came running downstairs to tell me that she could see the printer listed on his iPhone. After a few minutes, I ran a report of connectivity, and it showed connection and TCP/IP connection details. I then installed the software. I am happy to say that he works all famous and we are happy campers.

  Hello.  We have an ongoing problem with this gel printer (backlight on).  I can say that it's okay if it passes in the standby mode.  If after the default, sleep, standby fails, it is always locked and requires a reboot.

  It comes with the power supply cord is too short, and relocation is very difficult.  I have been using two (seem to be very good) of the longer computer power cords.  One is 10' and the other is 12'.

  I tested the ground taken with a multimeter and it revient.2 v, which is not 0, but I think is pretty close.  There are other things on the same circuit.

  Problem is I can not test the normal short cord and easily keep the printer connected to the USB cord and a fax machine.  Would be a 10 or 12' power cord (no UPS online) will be enough to lock up this printer?   Thank you.
