• FormsCentral Adobe multi-line text field

  I am trying to create a form that will expand the fields of history/medical notes as indicated by the patient.  I tried incorporating fields "(multi-line) text field ', but get a field with a scroll bar, rather than a growing field.  Moving to other fields, or registration or import the file does not change the scope of expanded scroll.

• cannot change the text field after grouping

  Hi people,

  I have 3 single-line text fields and a logo combined using 'Add parents '.  For some odd reason, I can't select a field to edit text.  I can select them in the assets Panel and change the layout or style, but as soon as I double-click to edit the text, my selection goes to the div parent instead of the text field.  I tried to use the text as well, but it always happening in selection to the parent.  This isn't a big deal since I can change the text later in a Publisher, but it's a little frustrating.

  FWIW, I ran the update of this morning before starting, but I doubt that caused this nothing thanks for any help

  So sorry Chris, in my frustration, I removed the parent and the group so I can get the item that I wanted to edit, and then recreated the parent.

  However, your description of the differences between the Group and Add Parent in this discussion: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/1361983?tstart=0 probably explains why I have problems.  I think I had GROUPED fields 3 text and then wrapped in this group and the image of the logo in another div with 'Add parents '.  I have probably not been not clicking successfully through the parent company to the group, and then in the text field.  In fact, I was clicking like mad, but probably not on the correct spot for each level.

  2. If a background Image(For better look-rounded edge image like in Broswer)

  3. If the number of characters exceeds the single line, it has scroll horizontally right and from characters to scroll left with the appropriate property of the ellipse.

  4. in entering an Enter key (Center of select navigation Keys), it should call my method to perform an action.

  Q1. BasicEditField.NO_NEWLINE will stop people pressing enter and get a new line.

  Regarding your second question, I recommend that you check out the two videos on screens and area managers.

  As a general rule, a field is laid out (i.e. tells his manager what size he needs and then this rectangle is placed), then painted.  Exhibitor is managed by managers and put sublayout on the page for the fields.  The more important than sublayout and put thing in page do is specify the scope (width and height) they need, which fiddles and managers to make using the measure.

  Once all fields was laid out, then the visible parts of each field are painted using paint.  I've never used subpaint.

  Not much needs to change.

  You can always display the same result as you would if a product is available.

  The only difference would be the item would show "sold out". In this case, add a conditional event listener to listen to 'Sold Out' in the status of product on your front-end server. A hyperlink to 'request form' echo here.

  Basically, a 'form' link would appear if the product is "sold out".

  I load a text field 100 string values (each with a < br > after them) in a multiple line, dynamic text field set to display the HTML. When a user clicks on one of the lines, I want that the content of this line to be set in a variable for further processing.

  Hi sprphoto123,

  If you do not enter data in the text field 2 then you can set the form field property to is not mandatory, but if you want to disable the 2nd text field, you can add a check box in front of it to turn off the field. This can be achieved using JavaScript.

• Masking printed lines in a multiline text field?

  I am designing a form using Adobe Acrobat XI. This form is designed to be multi use. It can be printed and completed by hand or it can be filled electronically.

  When the user chooses to complete the form electronically, entering into a multiline text field, I want to hide the printed lines. After leaving the field, I want the lines will still be hidden if any text has been entered in the field. I know that this can be accomplished by using a script in the Action of the box text field properties window, but I can't find the correct script and triggers. Any help is very appreciated.

  Here is the solution:

  In the onFocus event, you add this line of code:

  event.target.fillColor = color.white;

  and in the onBlur event, you add this line of code:

  event.target.fillColor = color.transparent;

  }

  The script of the onBlur event is required to set back field transparent background when you tab through an empty field; When you tab through a field, the Format event will not occur.

• Can help you with the resizing of the lines and text fields?

  Acrobat X Pro - I lost the feature on my text fields and lines to resize slice and dragging a box in small increments.  Everything is now resize to the size of the original box or the underscore.  Features to make my diagonal lines (to make an 'X') also lost.

  Is there a way to bring my function to move and resize in small amounts instead of the size of the original box or a button that I disabled?

  I use a Java Script to add several lines to an empty text field.  If the customer type in the text field replaces the lines.  If the client prints only the form, they remain the lines.  The problem I have is if the customer type in the domain and must then go back and change the text, as long as they tab or click on the text field in the because the text disappears.

  I didn't write that code, and I don't know how to get back in touch with the person who did it.

  I think you might be better with another approach, with this approach, the user will have the same trouble if they save the form and open later.

  Try to change the initialization script

  You will then be able to completely remove the code entry and exit events.

  The above code sets the display null model, which means that it will appear only if the field has no value.  Normally, you can enter this in the model display dialog box but that you cannot enter return carridge/newline characters.

• Creating multiple lines of text that can be changed in a single line

  I just changed an Illustrator file that a designer of course put in place and it has set up so that there are several lines in a column of text that are related to some how while the first line of text can be changed and the rest will change with him. How configure you it to do this?

  Actually, I need to know how to basically set a text box created, then copied it 10 times in a column, but the top text field can be edited. When the top is changed it automatically changes all other lines as well at the same time. Thank you for getting back to me well. I thought about it.

  Basically, what you have to do is create your initial text field. With the text box selected, you go to your panel of skins and click the effects at the bottom of the Panel and choose deformation & transform > transform. Then in the transformation dialog box you choose how the copied text boxes to move (left or right), and then how many copies you would and press copy. All you have to do is change the text box, and each of them will change at the same time.

  This is actually a pretty neat feature and will allow me to save a lot of time when setting up projects.
