  Is perhaps a silly question, but I've only had a Blackberry for a few days, so I'm still trying to understand everything.

  My question is, if I set the mode "phone only", will I continue to receive SMS messages during this period, or is it just the phone calls?

  Phone only mode is a profile setting. You will continue to receive all messages and SMS, you just will not be advised of them via an alert or flashing LED. In other words, it calms down the notifications, all, except the phone.

  What is the difference between sleep and the modes of bedside?

  I did not a storm case yet (which claims to put the BB in mode "sleep"), but pointed out a mode 'night' in the setting of the clock.

  It disconnects only of notifications if you choose to disable the 'Radio '.  But it kills your ability to receive calls too.   There are two problems I see. Yesterday, I've updated througn Office of BB online. I have now deleted the BB 7.1.0 CoreApplications four times. When I start my phone one of the two things happening. I can enter my password, but when I hit the key enter the phone crashes and will only go to safe mode. The second thing that happens is it accepts my password, but immediately the following message - Eception Exception: Java.Lang.Error there is an option to click OK but when I get my BB freezes. I have installed and uninstalled all languages twice, I restarted a dozen times or more, I reinstalled a version more ancient dating back months and not seen no change to these questions. I can work the phone in safe mode, but this isn't a solution. I find this very frustrating. I would also like to be able to talk to a human being on this subject but can't find a number on your website. A WTF happening? I'm about to launch this phone in the tray and get an IPhone!

  I think that you may need to perform a clean reload OS... from your post, I can't quite tell if you did that.

  Please visit this official download portal as you go along. If all you want are the levels of BONE, it is first sorted by carrier - the carrier supports, your search will be fast. However, some carriers are much slower than others to release updates. To really get the package up-to-date OS for your BB, you need to dig through and find all businesses that support your specific model BB and then compare the BONE levels they support.

  I just did a hard reset (remove battery) on my Storm2 9550.  When it finished start, I started the Desktop software and connected the phone via the USB port.  I received the following message:

  I've been playing with my new torch 9810 and now the battery seems to be draining like crazy (up to 10% after having just three hours hanging out, not a single call done) - and some programs play AND I get a message indicating that the camera photo and video camera are in use although I'm not using the.

  Is there a virus on this thingy? -How do I know? has someone hijacked my camera to spy on me?

  It will take several attempts to get the combination of keys ESC (press/release/hold) OK, so be patient. When properly in Safe Mode, see what happens.

  If the behavior continues, then well... think what happened just before this behavior started? A new application? An update? A theme? Something else? Think carefully that the slightest change can be causal... and try to undo all that was.

  But if the behavior continues mode without failure, you may need to consider more drastic measures - WIPE, OS Reload, BBSAK Wipe/Reload and the process of reloading OS 'skeleton '. To prepare, you should be sure that you have a full backup of your PC... Please see the Backup link in my sig auto on this post for instructions.

• BlackBerry Smartphones built in storage media errors, not now restart...

  During the last two weeks, I received several cases where I received

  I said yes and he fixed the problem.  Yesterday, I sent a BBM message and the phone reset... on suddenly it reboot only gets 3/4 of the way through the startup process (stops under the 1 'r' in the Blackberry logo).

  I tried a multitude of things I've seen on many forums, including let it stand all night with the battery, try to start in safe mode (which I never could get it to do).  This morning, it does the same thing.  I found a post that suggested to reformat the internal memory, which I should have done when I had questions.

  Is it possible to get this reformatted internal memory if the phone does not start?  Any suggestions would be helpful.  I will ask a new phone of my business, but know that I won't get it until tomorrow... so I'm willing to try anything to make it work again (today).

  P.S. Yes, I'm one of those guys who will lead to 10 miles around traffic stopped, just to keep moving! ;-)

  That's what I set my phone freeze (9860). By JSanders.

  (1) make sure that you have Blackberry Desktop Manager installed.
  http://NA.BlackBerry.com/eng/services/desktop/
  (2) on your PC, go to start > run and copy and paste the following line exactly (i.e. with quotation marks):

  'c:\program files\common research in motion\apploader\loader.exe' /nojvm

  (3) the Application Loader Wizard will appear - click on "next".
  (4) in the ' connection: ' drop-down menu, you should see "USB - PIN: UNKNOWN". Click on the button "next".
  (5) you should see a list of applications ready to be installed for your Blackberry. Press Next and finish, and that you are well on your way to get your Blackberry to life. Congratulations! Just unplug and let the process finish completely.

  NOTE: If you do not display the list of applications mentioned in step 5 and instead to see the message "the Blackberry Desktop Software has no Blackberry Device Software for the device you have connected to the computer. Contact your wireless service provider or system administrator', then you must download the Blackberry operating system for your support and your device.

• Using software update to blackBerry Smartphones.

  I had planned an update last night to demand for 2300 hour British. When I woke up, I found my phone was off and the charger was out of my phone. When you turn on again my phone, he immediately started backup software, which was going well until he started the social RSS update.
