• ASD ask an element of the catalog and custom properties

  Just curious if anyone else encountered problems with properties custom when you use ASD and demand action from point of catalog.  For example we are defining the name of business group in a custom using {custom.vCAC.BusinessGroup.Name} as the value of a custom property property.  Weventually hen requesting a plan detailed in the traditional way, it is calculated and the name of group in this area.  But when you ask the same through the ASD action plan, it is not evaluated.  I get "{custom.vCAC.BusinessGroup.Name} ' as text in the field."  Someone at - he found a solution to this?  Thank you

  Custom properties are not sent by default with ASD... you get 5 "global variables"...

  _asd_subtenantRef is the id of the business group...

  You could catch the name like that...

  var vCACCAFEBusinessGroupId is System.getContext () .getParameter ('__asd_subtenantRef');.

  var vCACCAFEBusinessGroupObject = vCACCAFEEntitiesFinder.getBusinessGroup (vCACCAFEHost, vCACCAFEBusinessGroupId);

  var businessGroupName = vCACCAFEBusinessGroupObject.name;

  L System.log (businessGroupName)

  To get to the back of the custom properties, you could do that

  customProperties var = new Properties ();

  customProperties = vCACCAFEBusinessGroupObkect.getCustomProperties ();

  This property returns an array of properties...

  You can then loop through each object properties in the table and get the key/value

  The matrix of compatibility of Site Recovery Manager posted to http://www.vmware.com/support/pubs/srm_pubs.html is the definitive reference for what is supported and not supported.  Inside, you will find a list of the models in table storage supported with each of the storage replication adapter.  If it is not there, it is not officially supported.

  I use Site Studio contributor, and I would like to know if I am able to save the changes to the employee as a draft data files?

  WebCenter content has no concept as project.

  I'm trying to publish a site Web Site Studio to 11 g. This service provider shared is something new in 11g and it's resemblance to the 10g SSPU... the tool seems to work but I read something in the documentation a bit intrigued me:

  Have you tried to use the settings of cookies within wget authentication?

  I did work with OAM before I'm sure you can make it work with 11g with some time.

  Before you do the correct analysis, you get wget to request your login form page and pass the credentials and store the cookie on filesystem (ask on the - save-cookies wget directive).

  Then you do your normal analysis, wget does site studio queries and you tell wget to use cookies you have stored (read up - load-cookies)

  I've had problems with HP for over 2 years now. The first laptop, they have replaced and gave me a 8570p Elitebook that they new was not good and gave to a member of the family of the same model. I have had problems with it, run hot and fingerprints from December 2013 and open a file. Tech was released in January and replaces fan and then the numeric keypad now works sometimes. Tech said needed to order parts most never heard talk about him again. They sent an email saying they have closed the case without being fixed pc. I called and had another one opened and got a case manager very rude who called and chatted with me for two days telling me he would give me a same unit renovated, it take or leave. He told me that nobody will do better than that even though I have the extended warranty and care Pak. I told her no but my family members had problems and did not have all of the warranty and they gave him a new one as a replacement for 8770w. I continued to try to work with tech and they will call him each week saying that they have an appointment and no one does or call. Mind you, this has happened since December 2012 and it is the end of February 2014 and my pc has not yet been set. I work from my pc as a business and may not have that going. Then they tell me that we cannot replace because it was given to you in 2011 and I have documentation I received in 2012 at HP and they don't judge. They say it's still too old. It's not my fault for your product. I was treated very brutally and been put on hold and they are standing by their product. I'm not recommending them or buy from them. They have these foreign people who do not in any ways whatsoever and they call it management and customer service. HP is not going to pay my salary is their pc as a last shutsdown I did. If you can replace it for one person, then you must replace for all.

• Modules Modules and custom project properties

  I have a module and a module, allows you to call their hand and the child.  I'm defining properties of custom hand modules, project level but once the module is included, custom properties are not long available to the engine API.  I tried all the combinations defined on the module, on the consumer, on the two, etc. Nothing.  What is even more frustrating, is that when I crack open the ZIP file and the .rmod, I can see the definitions in the XML file.

  All other custom properties are cool... entity, relationship,... only project level attribute those...

  Why doesn't this work? Is there a way to pull this off?

  This certainly seems to be a bug. It seems that custom properties can be used when you include modules.

  What have you tried to do with the custom property? Probably there's a simple work-around by setting a global attribute of the text with the value you want in the custom property.

  In the meantime, I will raise this as a bug

  I have a property definition that defines

  
  

  VirtualMachine.Network0.Name

  This provides a drop-down list with the preset values, by which an applicant may select a network to which they want to connect their virtual computer. It works perfectly and the VM has asked is connected to the respective vSphere port group.

  I try to combine the above property with the

  VirtualMachine.Network0.IPAddress

  I have this Setup to allow the applicant to specify an IP address. Whatever the applicant put slot shape that is assigned the IP address simply network profile and the specified user address is ignored. This happens if I configure the property above in a group of properties or directly on the plan of action through custom properties.

  Any ideas?

  I think the confusion here is with the objects on network on the design canvas.

  I worked on a similar solution this week. I need the customer to select the network and to set an IP address. Ultimately, this does not work if there is a network object on the canvas of the design. We have to finish with that.

  Second, you can't assign network properties to a component of virtual machine on the EHR Architecture directly. The designer will complain if you try and these values are set directly. The properties must be part of a group of properties.

  So for me, I have a property group with:

  VirtualMachine.network0.Name

  VirtualMachine.network0.Address

  VirtualMachine.network0.SubnetMask

  VirtualMachine.network0.primarydns

  VirtualMachine.network0.Gateway

  Under the definitions of properties, I have a drop-down list of values for virtualmachine.network0.name.

  The best way to do what you ask is with the widget of Composition. Start with the ToolTip predefined, which by default displays the info on working capital. You can change the display option to click, which is what you are looking for. You can also add the close button or the info disappear in slowing.

  I currently have vCenter 4.0 Update 1 and Site Recovery Manager 4.0.  Can I put vCenter 4.0 Update 1 to 4.1 without upgrading the Site Recovery Manager?

  According to http://www.vmware.com/pdf/srm_compat_matrix_4_x.pdf , you need improve SRM to 4.1.

  Is there the cmdlets for VAPP or Site Recovery Manager yet?  I think that MRS will be later this year.

  We should release VAPP cmdlets later this year, but it won't be for a few months. Cmdlets SRM not in the immediate future, but PowerCLI can help to automate a bunch of stuff around RS.

  It might be useful if you could give some thoughts on what you want to automate regarding SRM, which could help the teams prioritize
