Site very slow Firefox 9 loads

Since the upgrade to 9 I find that visiting web sites invariably means a 10 sec or more to wait until they take over.

Once the site eventually support subsequent clicks to other pages are much faster.

This happens even with all add ons disabled.

Check out the tools/options and then go to advanced / network and check how Firefox connects to internet. When I downloaded 9.1, I found that she had changed this setting automatically and I had to restore. This is particularly problematic on Windows 7, it seems. Then experience the changes between the proxy and if no proxy. It seemed to solve mine with the "no proxy" on the web page loading speed.

Finally, I went to the chain beta and downloaded after I had sped up 9.01, and the beta version is certainly superior! Try this if you're a brave soul and cannot get relief with 9.1

  • Time of loading very very very slow (Firefox and explore) with Flash content

    Yes Details:

    Professional Win7 64 bit

    Flash Player version: 11.1.102.55

    Problem:

With the two browsers (Firefox and Explorer, the latter with 32-bit and 64-bit versions) it is impossible to use the web pages with Flash content, cause the loading time is too large (more than a minute) and during this time, the browser seems frozen.

He began to arrive after the last cause upgrade to Flash version for a long time, I faced a strange behavior: whenever I rebooted the PC, a window with the request to update Flash appeared, and even I did the upgrade, the next time that I restarted the window appeared again. so after a lot of this, I decided to switch to the latest version available.

But now, I had to disable the Flash option in the two browser for surfing the web, otherwise it's impossible to do.

    Can you help me???

p.s. I already tried to uninstall everything with Adobe scripts, I also uninstalled Explorer and Firefox and installed everything again, but nothing!

How to do a clean install of the Flash Player?

  • Very slow Firefox.

I do a lot of cut and paste for the recipes on all recipes.com. When I cut and paste in MS Word and then return to the Web site, Firefox seems to go in the "snail" mode. If I close Firefox and come back again I can cut and paste into MS Word but then Firefox slows down just once again. Tried to make a few changes as suggested on the site of Firefox to not available. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

Hello bhlottawa, try Disabling graphics hardware acceleration.

You will have to perhaps restart Firefox for it to take effect, so save any work first (e.g. you compose mail, documents online that you are editing, etc.).

    Then perform the following steps:

    1. Open the Firefox Options window as follows, click on the menu button

      then select Options.

    2. In the Options of Firefox window, click the Advanced tab, and then select general.
    3. You will find in the list of parameters, the checkbox use hardware acceleration when available . Clear this check box.
    4. Now restart Firefox and see if the problems persist.

In addition, please check the updates for your graphics driver by following the steps in the following knowledge base articles:

This solve your problems? Please report to us!

Note also that you have an old version of firefox, 38.0.5 is the current version, please Update Firefox to the latest version.

    Thank you.

  • Very slow Firefox on Windows 7

I was a Mac with Firefox user and has been exceptionally good. I moved to a Windows 7 machine and loaded Firefox to continue my happiness with Firefox. I made Firefox my default.

Unfortunately, I find the current Firefox for Windows 7 to create problems. Actual program start-up is very well. It is fine to make a favorite. That's when I'm clicking on the links on the pages I visit I begin to stall on.

If I click on a link on a web page, I see the link being attempted, but it's just the blue circle goes round and round without resolution.

Curiously, I've learned to simply click in the HTTP bar behind the attempt link and press the ENTER key to solve. It baffles me why this works, but clicking on the link even in the web page gets me nowhere. If I have a workaround, but it's not how Firefox should work, correct?

I have disabled hardware acceleration. Who was previously asked by myself, because my first days with Firefox was originally freezes and real accidents. With that the disabled I am not crashing any longer.

I also tried to reset Firefox with the same results. I have that Ghostery as an add-on (as I did on my Mac version).

I am not savvy enough to understand the difference between the click versus the ENTER key. Why does a click stall me out but why does a punch of the ENTER key to the same web page work?

Try temporarily disabling the Ghostery and see if this problem has disappeared.

  • WebHelp TOC does not display in Firefox and loads very slow in IE... advice?

We have recently migrated to a webhelp online system so that we do not have to distribute documentation with our software.  We organize the webhelp documentation on our Web site and it's supposed to be accessible from our software.  Our problem is that the table of contents are loading very slowly in IE and does not at all seen Firefox.

When I run the help locally (on our network or on my workstation), the table of contents works very well.

During the last hour, I added the script to force the table of contents of synchronization (found on the site Web of Peter G)... and it did not help.

Any advice on where to look?

I can pm our URL for the help, if someone thinks it will help them to diagnose.

    Thank you!

    Jim

    (currently using Robohelp 8)

No problem. Just load the page with the active Console tab. Then select the errors and you will not get the errors.

Note: The table of contents are also very slow to load in Chrome. You have quite a few projects merged, so be sure that you set the correct speed optimization.

The help of opening shows two errors in the Firebug console. I get a 404 on a missing file error: "" NetworkError: 404 not found - http://www.foodpro.com/help/release_2.4/webhelp/mergedProjects/FPUSRPRF/whxdata/whtoc.xml".

The errors indicate that the merged projects 'checkfiles' and 'FPUSRPRF' are missing. I suspect that FF choke on the missing mergedProjects/FPUSRPRF/whxdata/whtoc.xml. Still, execution stops after that.

But perhaps a merged help guru can tell you more.

    Take a bow

Firefox has become very slow. It takes a lot of time to load any website. I reinstalled FF but the rest of the problem.
As a test, I downloaded Chrome and it is much faster.
But I love FF and would be very happy if you can help me solve this problem.

    Hi Reos,

When you reinstall Firefox it always uses your old profile with all the old things that you had. That said, you're lucky, there is a new feature that lets you "Reset" of Firefox. This will remove some of the pieces that might cause problems while it keeps your bookmarks and other important things safe.

Check it out and let me know if it works: Refresh Firefox – reset the parameters and modules

  • Firefox 10 - installed and the performance is very slow, unresponsive while trying to load websites.

Just noticed the other day on my server and it could have been thought Nvidia driver. Update that and same result with Firefox very slow in delay/performance while making the web pages? Downgraded to Firefox 9.0 and problem solved. Return to previous performance levels.

Just received and installed the update for Firefox worm 10.02 and voila... all the symptoms of the problems I had been able to correct themselves? Always curious what the issue was with my install in Server 2008? Have the latest Firefox installed in Fedora 16-64 bit and works without a problem. I have dual boot this machine between the two O/S once again, thanks to all who offered suggestions or advice about my problems.

  • After the upgrade to Firefox 7, sites regularly take a very long time to load.

Since the upgrade to Firefox 7, I knew an intermittent problem where, in the attempt to load of a site, the status bar says "Connecting"... "and sits there without charging anything for several minutes. This happens usually after several minutes of normal use. Meanwhile, Firefox cannot connect to any site. He is also unable to check the updates. There is no error message; simply, it displays the icon of the "little wheel" and does not provide any additional comments.

Close the tab where the problem occurred at the outset helps not, but completely close and restart Firefox made. However, the problem usually after several minutes of normal use after a reboot.

No other application is affected. Internet Explorer, MSN Live Messenger, Thunderbird, and other applications of the network continue to operate normally while Firefox cannot load websites.

I don't think that it is a firewall issue. The problem occurs even when all the firewall software - including the built-in Windows - Firewall has been disabled.

In addition, if I let Firefox "spin" for several minutes, the problem suddenly clears up on its own, and the site I asked initially load normally. As with a reboot, when the problem is cleared up in this mode, generally occurs after a few minutes of normal use.

Type of topic: config in the address bar (address) and press the Enter"" key. When you see a warning, click on I'll be careful, I promise! button.

-> In the filter bar, type Network.http.Max - connections

    • Preference Network.http.Max - connections right click and choose Edit
    • Change the value to 30 or 48
    • Click OK

-> Close the topic: config tab

    • Restart Firefox.

Check and tell if its working.

  • Since refreshing Firefox, why is he if very slow?

Today, I had update Firefox as it kept crashing on the opening and I couldn't open it. Another thread said that an update was the best solution, so I now have Firefox V 40.0 using Windows OS 10.0.

Suddenly, 2 hours after the update, it has slowed to a pace - slower than a very slow thing, like watching paint dry, like having an old snail dial-up connection. Takes about 15 seconds to load my homepage and long to change page in the same Web site or when connecting to a new Web site.

What happened and what can I do to corrcet this? Is there something in the profile or the modules from my old version of FF that I need to add to the new version?

I really love Firefox, but today begins to destroy my faith in the product.

    See you soon

Sorry, looks like it has automatic sorting, because he is back to normal this morning. I think that there is a current Windows Update which I did not know everything. Looks like Microsoft have the ability of the user to determine when and how updates are delivered in 10 disabled Windows.
My apologies for rushing on the forum for help.

  • Loading pages very slow since a more quick link if you press on return to the bar

If I click on a link that he sites often here to always load if I click in the url box and press return it loads ok

Firefox 9.0.1 is so slow it's unusable! I returned and downloaded 3.6.25 and it's incredibly fast compared to the 9.0.1 version. 9.0.1 takes at least 20 seconds to load, crashes when you open a Web page for more than a minute and more than a minute or longer to stop. A big eater of memory while it stops so my computer is dead until it is through. Updater.exe consumes a lot of memory on shutdown. Others say that it works very well for them but 8. XX and 9.0.1 has been updated, everything about Firefox is unexceptable to me. I'll keep 3.6.25 or go to Chrome.
