• 11.2.0.2 size AW grows regularly with each generation of cube

  I am facing a very strange situation here. I had a useless and rapid growth of the storage space that I use for different workspaces analytical I. Therefore, I contacted a simple test as follows:
  
  I created a few examples of tables of relational data consisting of 7 dimension and 1 table of facts. I inserted once the data in these tables and never touch again.
  
  Then, I created a NEW analytical and in there created Workspace 7 dimensions and 1 cube all mapped to the above tables. The cube is a cube compressed without partitioning and with all dimensions marked as sparse.
  
  I measured the size of the AW AWM/reports/Analytic Workspace size and it's 159 MB (structure only).
  
  Then I loaded the data in dimension only, leading to the size of the AW of 448 MB.
  
  Then I was 10 loads of the cube by using this simple script (I only run the script later 10 times and in between I measured the size of the AW):

  Cube Build MB 6, 1275

  Therefore, without adding new data, with each generation of the cube (values, load, resolve) the aww increases to about 130-140 MB.
  
  This simple test results are consistent with my original comment that my production tablespace grows unjustified and quickly. I am sure that I do something wrong here or I hit a bug.
  
  The database is 11.2.0.2 RAC (2 knots) with OEL x 86.

  It's the exactly the kind of growth AW that I expect. I logged a bug on this issue. At this point, it seems be limited to 11.2.0.2 OLAP patches.

• Yahoo mail - the font size increases with each 'Enter' - * solution *.

  I raise this issue because pending a previous thread on this was closed, and I have a solution that works for me.

  The question is in Yahoo mail. When you compose a message in full HTML view, the font size increases with each return (newline or 'Enter').

  (It's always a problem from June 2013 and the current version of Firefox for Mac - version 21.0)

  The solution that works for me is:

  View > Zoom > Zoom text only uncheck

  I found another solution because Ctrl-0 (Reset) has not solved this problem for me, no more than to create an exception for yahoo mail. (I only met the problem on yahoo mail).

  This is what worked for me: under view/Zoom/Zoom settings (No Squint) / Zoom, I had both the value of 120% of full page and text only zoom levels. Reset the text only to 100% solved the problem. (I then increased the parameter full page 125% and the fix still works).

• PDF size increases in size considerably with each shipment.

  I have a PDF form desinged using Adobe LiveCycle ES2 Desinger.

  It has a submit button which will present the form to the server (IIS and ASP.NET) using this command of javascript:

  The above code works very well, and PDF is generted successfully.

  I have a problem.

  With each shipment, the size of the generated PDF will significantly increase. I reported this to Adobe Support, and they cofirmed that this is by design and with each shipment, the previous state of the PDF is saved, and the new State is added. That's why I get a huge PDF file.

  I was told that the only way to fix this is to submit the form in PDF ONLY, and after that I saved the PDF file on a file system, I must then use Adobe service process "exportData" to extract the XML data in the PDF file.

  I think it's really big change for me. I was hoping there is a way to identify the State of the block PDF element.

  Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  The heart of the problem was that large images were placed in XFA image fields. Due to the design of PDF with incremental updates, copies of these images have been added to the file for each file record.  I'll write more on this later, probably on the ADEP product blog.  But for now, the solution is to limit the size of the image in the field.  [As backdrop, the image was used for a miniature of 1 x 1 inch of a face, which is convinced by a highly compressed 72 dpi JPG or around 20-40 K bytes or less.]  Images in the file are order megabytes, which caused massive problems.

  John Brinkman made a blog on how to check the size of the image and generate an error if it is too large.  You can see on the blog of John page break, and it is very stylish.

• Size of inflated RTF files

  Some but not all my WordPad (i.e. RTF files) increase their file size

  proportion to the amount of content in them. I am referring to the RTF documents

  containing only the text content and containing no inserted pictures or objects.

  For example; a file that was originally 50 KB will increase to 100 KB in size

  After that I have re-opened and saved it and where I only did minor editions to the document.

  Whenever I open and save the file, the file size increases significantly, if it is not exponential.

  I suspect that this happens only in the RTF files in which I copied and pasted text

  the Internet and I feel that there are some objects that have been glued integrated

  in the RTF document and the text... which I can't see on the page.

  I didn't have this problem until recently, and I'd like to be able to continue

  content of text copy and paste Internet in WordPad without their file sizes bloating upward.

  I copy - paste Internet text in WordPad to compile extracts from the information.

  so that I can (i) avoid the risk of infecting my computer by downloading of Web pages in their entirety;

  (ii) reduce the size of the file to keep a free space on my HARD drive and to make the file easier to handle;

  and (iii) edit the documents in a word processor with the capabilities database in shape.

  No one knows the cause of the problem I described and if so,.

  So how can I reduce the size of the RTF boated on my HARD drive files

  and how can I avoid this problem from happening again?

  FYI: I use WordPad version 6.1.7601.17514 on the platform of WINDOWS 7 Pro SP1 (64-bit).

  Use Paste special menu drop down (from the Ribbon - dough) and choose text unformatted.

  This will remove all the extra characters, etc..

  I use the system data with sample rate 10000 and 1000 per channel (there are 4 channels) to acquire the analog voltage signals to measure the amplitude of each channel.

  In addition the raw signals are saved as file TDM to a minute. The system works continuously for a week. I noticed that, after 3 hours, the size of the saved file is decreased according to time.

  Size starts with 50 MB/min and after 3 hours, it became 42 MB/min, after that 1 day became 11 MB/min. Which indicates that the data has been lost, please, what is my programming error.

  Since the zero status code, there are several things that could improve here.

  1. you only need to create the task once before the main loop.

  2. you probably don't even need the loop outter if you use logging configure DAQmx as I already said.  And you can use the properties to say how many samples to be included in a file before I go, so that the part of your code is eliminated.

  3. the display can be just a simple chart (it seems that you probably already use a chart).

  This defined for your ranking history?  May cause your slowing down if there are too many data points.

  We use the XML editor in Oracle EBS 12.1.3.

  I have a relationship with more than 100 columns, for which I created an RTF model with going out to Excel. I fell on the boundary of Word of 63 columns in a table.  To get around it, I created a table with 2 columns and each column insert a table of columns about 58.

  Well, it seems to work 90% of the time.  But at the end of the excel sheet the last 20 or if data lines have sometimes 58 columns in the column in the external table empty.  The second cell of the outer table is a large cell empty.

  The issue seems to occur when there is a lot of data in the report.  If I run the report on specific lines containing questions the data is displayed correctly.

  Everyone has faced something like this?  Or have any ideas on how to debug what is happening?

  Hopefully the new XSL - FO model is selected in the Options tab, when you submit the request. Output XML code usually means - an error (if the program terminates with an error) or the mapping of model not done correctly (if completed normally).

  The extension of CheckPlaces can restore the favicons. It is also ideal for checking the bookmarks to make sure they are still valid.

  I use the DLL in third-party tools (Tools) to write several hundred points given to several hundred channels every 10 seconds. Each writing successive (DDC_AppendDataValueFloat) takes more time. This continues until the time it takes to write these data exceeds 10 seconds, used to collect the next batch of data. At this point, he began to get carried away.   The SDC library is not continuous to the disk.  If you ask to be added at the end of a TOC file, it will be first to load the current content of the TDM file in memory, adding memory, and then save the content expanded to a new file with the same name as the original of the TDM.  If you ask the library to the SDC to add at the end of a PDM file, the same process occurs.

  This is the reason why NEITHER created the TDMS API (TDM streaming), but that only ships with the products OR (LabVIEW, CVI, MeasurementStudio).

  You can alternatively continuously to the binaries and the TOC header writer DLL allows you to create a corresponding header TDM to your binary data files file.  It is also a free DLL that you can download from the web site of NOR.

  I'm taking steps analog multiple sensors to formula 6 with each pulse of a 500 ppr encoder and write these to a file.  I met problem is I don't get 500 readings with 1 revolution of the encoder the more I received is 187 but is not consistent.

  Hi - I assume that the page that you see printed is the alignment page.  This happens usually if the alignment process has not been made.  All you should have to do is take the printed alignment page and place it face down on the scan scanner glass and press.  Who must complete the alignment process and eliminate the page printing every time.  If you have problems, try following the procedure described in this document.
