Skype prevents the computer stop

When I run Skype, it prevents my computer from closing. I have useWindows 7 on an HP laptop. I uninstalled Skype and re-installed the latest version and it still occurs. I always logout of Skype correctly and then close the window. The Skype icon remains in the bar bar tasks below, so I also stop here as Skype, the icon then disappears. The computer goes through all the motions of closing, but after about 10 minutes of blue screen, it automatically starts again. After that it starts again, I am able to shut down the computer the second time, once I have not open Skype again. The computer turns off perfectly when I do start Skype, even if Skype is installed. I don't know if it's a problem of HP, problem of Windows 7 or Skype. Any ideas?

  • After the updates of windows, the computer stops responding with a black screen at startup of the system

Original title: Windows XP does not start after the update, no error message

Has made no changes to the system, but the last thing that happened was an update of Windows security on stop.

Now when I boot, the BIOS p.o.s.t. shows good HDs, good DVD-Rom, RAM, but Windows never starts, goes just a black screen, HDs are not accessed.

-F8 does nothing, can't use the last known good Config or Mode safe

-Change boot order in the BIOS to boot from the Windows XP DVD, hoping to get the recovery console, but the same thing: black screen, no attempt to spin-up DVD or HDs.

-Removal of mobo battery to reset the CMOS, no joy.

-Checked and re checked all connections inside.

-Stripped devices and added one at a time, no joy.

-Traded-in an old video card in case it was difficult to generate the higher res gfx, no joy.

I was construction/upgrade / repair my own PC for 3 decades and can usually solve the problem and fix it myself, but this one me completely baffled.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Cougarific,

We recommend that you repair your Windows installation in according to method 2 of this article and check the result.
See computer stops responding with a black screen when you start Windows XP

Note: When you perform a repair installation, it restores the current installation of Windows XP to the version on the installation DVD. This requires you to reinstall all updates that do not appear in this version of Windows XP disc.

  • How can I prevent the computer from the buffering every few seconds on the site Web of NHL when you watch the games?

    HOW CAN I STOP "BUFFERING"?

    Hello

    1. what web browser is installed on your computer? (Internet Explorer, Firefox, etc.)

2 are you facing this problem with any particular Web site?

Buffering or Streaming media is multimedia that are constantly received by, and normally, an end-user while being delivered by a streaming provider (the term "present" is used in this article in a general sense that includes audio or video.

A media stream can be broadcast live or on demand. Live stream is generally provided by a device called true streaming. True streaming sends the information directly to the computer or device without saving the file on a hard drive.

To stop the buffering or to increase the speed of buffering, there is no option within the operating system. Only way to stop or to increase the speed of buffering in some measure is to have a connection with a higher bandwidth. But note that as does you not an option of continuous play in CD or DVD.

Another work about that I do personally is to pause the video at the full buffering and watch the video once the buffering is completed.

  • When you start to print on the hp 6100 the computer stops and a blue error screen

Starts to print on the hp 6100 the computer when to stop an a blue error screen appears, and the computer must be restarted? Help this is driving me nuts.

    Hi William,.

Do you receive an error message or error code?

Blue screen can be caused by hardware and software issues.

Try the following and see if it helps.

    Method 1:

Try to uninstall and reinstall the printer drivers and check if it helps.

    Uninstall a program: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Install a printer: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows7/install-a-printer

Download HP drivers and software - specify product name

    Method 2:

Refer to the steps in the following Microsoft article and check.

Resolve stop (blue screen) errors in Windows 7:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/Resolving-stop-blue-screen-errors-in-Windows-7

    Notes:

Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.

When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.

Before you perform the upgrade on the spot, I would recommend you to back your files using windows backup.

    Note:
I suggest you to provide us with the Mini Dump files to get a better understanding of the issue.

Follow the steps to copy the contents of the minidump files:

    (a) copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location or anywhere on your machine.

    (b) zip copy.

    (c) attach ZIP archive to your message by using the button (attachments) "trombone".

    (d) please upload them to a service like Skydrive file sharing.

You can view the following link to find out how to send the files minidump using Skydrive:

  • TBird causes the computer stops responding.

TBird 38.1.0 (automatic update on), Lenovo T61, Win 7 Pro (auto update on), Microsoft Security essentials (automatic update on).

Problem started a couple of days after, add a calendar on (lightning?) had installed without authorization or request. TB started, but then PC unresponsive shortly after. A message or two can download before the full stop. PC must be turned off using the power switch.

From TB in SafeMode with shift seems to restore normal operation. By using the safe mode start, all the addons have been deactivated and deleted. Or at least I think.

  • HP Pavilion p6-2104ed: 960 GTX prevents the computer start

I bought a HP Pavilion p6-2104ed years but wanted to change the GPU. I have moved everything to a new case (Coolermaster 280), updated the standard power supply in a Seasonic 650 W 80 + gold and bought a new GPU (GeForce GTX 2 960).

The computer works perfectly in the new deal with the old GPU (Radeon HD 7550) but does not start with the GPU nw.

When I start the computer, the first startup screen appears and a total of three beeps are displayed until the screen goes black with a small line flashing in the top left. It's like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9F0LWwZD3w

-J' I connect the GPU with a cable PCI for power and its lights and the fans turn on.

-There should be enough power to run all (650W).

-J' uninstalled the drivers before installing the new GPU.

-J' updated the BIOS via this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-p6-2100-desktop-pc-series/5187028/model/.... (not completely sure if difficult, I managed)

-I doubt that there is a problem with my RAM as the three beeps may indicate that the computer works fine with the old GPU.

What can be the problem and how can I solve it?

-Maybe it has to do with the legacy / settings UEFI? The MoBo should be compatible (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03235578).

Is there a problem with the BIOS?

-It might help to disable the Integrated GPU? If so, how. I can't find the right settings.

    -Am I misunderstood something?

  • The computer stops working when it is in standby mode or after disconnecting Internet

Original title: mobile broadband services crashes start menu

After you install the software to mobile broadband, my computer began to lock up after that I logged on the Internet.  The mouse pointer moves and opens the start menu, but the computer does not respond.  I have to use the power button to turn off and restart my computer.

My computer crashes also up when I return to Windows when the computer is in stand-by mode.

I uninstalled the software high speed mobile and returned using my dial-up connection, but the problem persists. I tried the system restore, but he told me that there have been no changes to my system.  I went back to a point of 2 weeks before installing the mobile broadband software.

If I do not go on the Internet or put the computer to sleep mode, the computer works fine.
