Slow and delayed response with Solitaire Collection

Separated from this thread.

I have the same problem with Spider Solitaire. Is there a a way to disconnect from the game by playing on the Internet? I'm not interested in playing against players from the internet and does not want this feature enabled.

Hi Joeda,

Let me help you with this question.

I would like to know;

  • You are connected with any account from Microsoft on your computer?

In Windows 8, you can download several games of XBOX live free-of-cost, and then you can play offline. However, unlike Windows 7, there are no built-in offline games is available in Windows 8 as default.

When you connect to the computer using local accounts, you will be prompted for a Microsoft Account credentials every time that you try to access applications on Windows 8.

But if you connect to the computer using a Microsoft account you will be able to access applications automatically without account credentials.

I suggest you to decouple your Microsoft Account to play Spider Solitaire in offline mode.

Hope this information is useful. If the problem still persists, please post back for further assistance, we will be happy to help you.

  • TB, slow and not meet with 'The Script is not responding' mailWindow.js CAUSE: McAfee (new)

I have been using TB and its predecessor Eudora for years without any problem. These last few months I met it is very slow and usually "does not" clicking on something before the end of the thought. At this point I sometimes get an error message "chrome://messenger/content/mailWindow.js:180", saying that the script has stopped working. I click on continue and it resumes.

After reading the various posts on the topic several times I did 1) re-indexed 2) made a clean installation 3) disabled modules 4) run in safe mode. Nothing seems to improve things. typical symptoms are:
    A. Download emails seems to take normal time, but their display in the Inbox can take a minute or more (used to be instantaneous) by clicking in the intermediate product, the message "not responding".
    B. Sending messages seems normal
    C. selection of a mail in the Inbox, or try to move or delete one takes a minute or more. Click on in the meantime generates the message "not responding".
    D. generally every action with the mouse has this long accompanied "not responding".

  • Pavilion dv6 slow and non-responsive

    Hello

I have a pavilion referbished with Windows 7 about 6 months ago and for most of the time it worked great. However, one day he gave me an error message during start-up by saying he could not start and that he should try again. I have yet to get this error, but since then he acted weird. It starts normally and the first first seems normal, if there might be a little slow. However, after about 10 to 20 minutes of use, it will start to slow down the hydro-huileuses gel and effectivly upward. I can still control slider, but most of the programs are no longer.

    Three other things:

    (1) Norton will not open, even if I try as soon as the computer starts when everything else works fine

    2) unless I try immediately after start-up computor not restart or shut down. The icons will disappear, but it does not start to close. It also has problems going in the Task Manager after the first few minutes.

    (3) it works perfectly in safe (at least relitive in safe mode) mode.

    What I've done so far:

I did a full scan of malwarebytes: he found nothing but during the scan, a message saying poped windows is maybe damaged.

I called Norton:  I tried to figure out why it wouldn't boot up normally and it does not work in SafeMode (which is dumb). They had me run another program designed to run in safe mode, what did not and could not help me with another problem.

I did a system restore- it did nothing

I did a scan of the memory- he also found nothing

I called windows tech sup port - they were completely unhelpful and told me to talk to hp

I went to h p sup port: I did a scan of the missing drivers and found I was missing an update of the BIOS. I installed it and it seemed to help at first, but the probblem remains.

I think that there is a driver, or something on windows which is corruppted, or else I have a virus that is very well hidden. Unfortunettly my simptems aren't enough destinct for google - able. Is their no way to deal with this, without having to reinstall windows?

In addition, you seem to be able to pass Windows 7 ro 8 without losing data (or vista to 7), can do you a re - install any without losing files. If I have to reinstall some programs it is very good. I know it must be something that I ask micrcosoft, but as I said they were completely useless and told me to check with hp.

Hello Wigmy.  I understand that you are having problems related to slowdowns, ultimately makes the phone unusable.  Is this correct?

Honestly, it seems you did a very good job to go beyond the usual suspects.  You did a scan for viruses and malware, with no luck.  Make sure that all drivers are up to date, and who had no effect.  You also tested the memory, and it passed.

I see a little more possibilities here.  A possibility is that the hard disk contains errors, then you will want to check that as well.  Another possibility and one who seems more likely to me is that some of the system of the operating system files are damaged or that you are indeed infected with a stealth virus.  I think that this second option is the culprit, due to the fact that the laptop works very well when it is started in safe mode.

First, make sure that the disk hard past the built in hard drive test.

    1. Reboot the laptop.
    2. Until the BIOS loads, press F10.
    3. Under Diagnostic Tools Select Hard Drive Test and let it run.
    4. Display the result.

Once we exclude the corruption/problems with the hard disk, the next step will be to do a full recovery of the machine.  , You will lose all data that you do not back up.  The Recovery Manager will be an option allowing you to back up your files.  However, you can start in safe mode and save a USB key or external hard drive as well.

Here are the steps for recovery.

    1. Restart the PC.
    2. Press F11 during boot up until the Recovery Manager starts to load.
    3. Select "System Recovery" and follow the instructions.
    4. Allow the recovery complete and verify that this solves the problem.
    5. Display the result.

I hope you find this useful!

  • Brand new HP 2000 running very slow and delay horribly

I just bought a brand new HP 2000-2b19wm a little more than a week, and first on the first commissioning initial he did very well apart from the fact that windows 8 and is very difficult to learn and navigate. I've noticed since the first boot of the computer is awfully slow. Takes forever to load firefox after clicking on it, horribly slow to load any page.

I'm in the process right now to remove Norton of it and all the other programs that I feel as tho have no need to be there to see if it helps with the performance of the machine.

I live whomevers help on some options or steps I can do to avoid or correct what's wrong with this brand new machine! I read online that a system restore would not be a bad idea as well.

    Thanks for any help.

    Shannon

    Hello

If the computer is infected with the virus, making the system restore would remove all infected files. Pick up the virus deleted, you need to reinstall the operating system using the system recovery.

I know that it is hard to predict the future and trends. And I know wanted offer convenience, but it's an inconvenience when you do not offer a time offer without continually having to pay for a product. Yes. Adobe is an exceptional product. But you could potentially lose a good customer because continually have to pay for a product year after year without ever owning. • Hangs, severe slowness and camera running Firefox 27,0 / 28.0 on Windows XP / is it possible to block plugin container?

Experienced a severe slowness and lock-up with Firefox to the end, which ends with a sharp decline in the use of memory and I have repeatedly shut down by the Task Manager. I created a new profile and disabled hardware acceleration. I tried to disable all plug-ins and extensions, but I noticed that sometimes (not always) plugin container was always an active process, I don't understand. Why would it be active when there is no plugin activated? I also noticed that when the plugin container is not active (list under process in the Task Manager), I don't have this problem and Firefox works normally? I need to block the plugin container. Help, please.

If you have deactivated plugins and plugin-container should not be executed. It's one of the reasons I suggested malware scans.

The Windows XP Task Manager lists the processes running. It will list the plugin - container.exe but I don't think it goes further. IIRC a Sysinternals utility was required to get information on the processes associated with the plugincontainer.

Microsoft will now offer free downloads and documentation for which is the Sysinternals software.

  • Someone knows the extremely slow response and delay with "not responding" on more complex web pages after installing updates on Friday?

Since the installation of 16 Nov received security patches I've known really slow response with Internet Explorer; 2 minutes between web pages on my WIN7 Pro PC and not much better on my VISTA Business PC.  I get expired on complex web pages the context comes up with "program addresses not" or the pop-up at the bottom of the screen asking me to do it again.  The problem is not limited to Internet Explorer, but also prevents Safari to come.   I tried to reinstall WIN7 Pro, but the problem remains.  I'm also not able to run You Tube or other videos.  There is no download or updated or running Belarc Advisor Windows installation problems.  While the problem occurs with Yahoo Mail, it is not an impact send/receive in Outlook.  Does not appear to impact, nothing other than browsing the web.

    Hi ephd,.

Thanks for posting in Microsoft Communities. The problem description, I understand that the internet works slowly. Provide the following information:

    ·         Have updates you installed?

    ·         You get the error message?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Temporarily disable the security software .

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.

    Method 2: Follow these steps:

Step 1: Start the computer in safe mode with network and check.

    Startup options (including safe mode)

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in safe mode with networking, perform a clean boot to see if there is a software conflict as the clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Note: After completing the steps in the clean boot troubleshooting, follow the link step 7 to return the computer to a Normal startupmode.

Method 3: Follow the steps in the article.

  • The response of the mouse becomes slow and I get the low battery warning

Original title: Use the Microsoft Wireless Multimedia Keyboard 1.1 model 1014.  Recently, I had replace the batteries in the mouse at least once a week.  Is there a solution?

The response of the mouse becomes slow and I get the low battery warning.  Until this started happening batteries have been change less than a month.

    Hello

    1. What is the brand of mouse and the model?

2 have you ever done any recent software or changes to the hardware to the computer?

If you use the Microsoft mouse, I suggest you follow these methods:

Troubleshoot a wireless mouse that does not correctly:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/321122

Troubleshoot the incidents of the response to the mouse or wireless keyboard:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/838398

Use the following tips to get more life on the batteries in the keyboard and mouse:

    a. use the mouse on a surface of clear color. With the help of the mouse above a black surface can deplete the battery at a faster pace.

    b. do not use the mouse on a glass surface.

    c. when replacing the batteries, use alkaline batteries. Other types, may not last as long.

    d. when wireless devices are not in use, store them near the computer.

    I hope this helps!

  • Interview with slow and fast 32 bit Oracle series control in oracle 64-bit.

    Hello
    I need help.
    I have a machine with Windows with Oracle 10.2.0.4 32 bits (DB - A)
And a machine with 64 bit HPUNIX with Oracle 10.2.0.4 (DB - B)

A query that I run on DB series - has in 140 mili sec

And the same query on DB - B takes 10 Sec.

The delay on DB - B is the only sort Index which is used to sort the data in ascending order. (DB - A uses this same index if present)

Now I just googled around, I got some suspicion as "being 64-bit has more sorting area optimizer Oracle 32-bit choose from uses the index" is this true?

    Waiting for your response.

Except for the fact that the tables listed in the two execution plans are totally different, I can see that the two database have a different place (ALL_ROWS vs FIRST_ROWS) optimizer.

In addition, there is a big difference in the number of rows processed every step of execution.

With iTunes Sync Photo, you can copy the albums selected to your library of Photos of the iPhone or the iPad.

See: Sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in iTunes - Apple Support

But this method is available, if you use not iCloud photo library on your mobile device.

is after update of Firefox 3.6.4

I have the same problem with Firefox 3.6.6 except that it also consumes massive amounts of CPU during the race. This version also adds a new process on your system. I am running XP and in the beginning I tried to disable some plug-ins. Always consumed too much memory. I went back to version 3.6 and the new process went, and the CPU consumption is way down. Something is wrong with the latest version of Firefox, I never saw behave this way. Revert to a previous version (Filehippo) and you will see the difference.
