He quoted me $250.00 for two years of protection and $ 150.00 for one year. I was shocked! How could I possibly know who I was talking to and what kind of fool he thinks I was to give my credit card no. and hundreds of dollars to him without thinking about the first or shopping locally for someone to come fix my computer? In any case, I hung up on him because he was pressuring me to buy this service and I run like that pressure.

  That's why I'm about my problem on this forum. Anyone know what I can do these things without spending an arm & a leg with the Geek Squad at my house or have it remotely for $150 - $ 250? I work only a temporary job and my real job has lost more than 3 years, so I'm not in the best financial conditions. This computer is my only means of job hunting so I need every day. Help, please!

  Note the changes are synchronized. It is not only the mail, drafts changed in Thunderbird will synchronize to hotmail, message status will be movements undated a folder etc.

  Download of attachments usually takes much more time compared to the download, with most of the connections and has little to do with age or the quality of your material.

  If you have outgoing mail analysis antivirus software, which could slow down the process; Disabling outgoing mail analysis and see if that makes a difference.

  If your email service automatically copies sent to a folder IMAP messages sent (Gmail, Hotmail), you should uncheck "places a copy in" under the tools/account settings /AccountName/Copies & records to avoid duplicates and download additional time.

  In addition, if the IMAP account and your folder "sent" is important or not compacted, it may take more time to update (download a large file that is sent to the remote server). In this case, you can move messages sent to a separate IMAP or local folder. With POP accounts, sent messages are stored on the local computer and then go very fast.

• Mac Mail continues to request password Hotmail account

  Recently my Mac Mail were continually asked my hotmail account password. When I enter it I get a message that it cannot verify the user and the password. The pop3 account was changed to popmail.outlook.com on the Mac. Worked until about 2 weeks ago.

  I was not able to put in place than others, IMAP or Exchange Outlook. If you try to use "Other E-mail", it may not always check the password. It still works on the iphone 4, so I know that the password is fine. I can access in the browser if the account is fine too.

  I don't want to lose all of my old emails that they are located in several folders work with other emails from other servers... Can't risk to delete and re-add this account. I have years of important emails. I realize I could use time machine to retrieve messages, but it is painful and slow.

• Firefox extremely slow, not open web sites correctly. Especially in the last 24 hours.

  In the last 24 hours (from April 27), FF4.0 became incredibly slow, unable to open many sites completely or correctly (i.e., BBC NEWS, Twitter) or the opening of sites but not able to use fully (i.e. opens hotmail but did not open any new messages).   It is hard to believe that the Qosmio G20 may have some problems with the saving screen graphics and slower running.

  In any case try check the energy saving settings and the use of the processor to maximum power. Check also running a process in the Task Manager and stop all unnecessary processes running. Don't forget that antivir application doesn t do any disk HARD analysis in the background.
